This unique classic 1987 Porsche 911 Wide Body Convertible has the same galvanized body as the outgoing SC and that stylish turbo look with integral fog lamps and a new front spoiler. This car is equipped with the upgraded 3.2 Liter 217 HP horizontally opposed 6 cylinder and the ever desirable G50 5-speed manual transmission. With the engine capacity being raised to 3164cc and a shorter 74.4mm stroke crankshaft, new fuel and ignition systems, along with an improved braking system, this Porsche was truly innovative for its time. At a stroke these upgrades eliminated what had long time been a weak point in the 911 mechanics.

The Exterior is a flawless Gun Metal Grey and has no dent, dings, rock chips or blemishes ANYWHERE on it. The Interior is a supple Charcoal Grey Leather with a light Oyster Grey Piping and as NO scratches, wear/tear or burn marks as this has always remained a non-smoking vehicle. It's exquisite body with those unmistakable big beautiful wide body HIPS is set off with new 255/40 ZR 17 (FRONT) 295/35 ZR17 (REAR) Pirelli tires. I have recently had it serviced ALL around and replaced the clutch, fluids, brakes, wipers and had a transmission filter fluid and flush. Hopefully the pictures accurately depict the top on my car is also BRAND NEW as well. My RARE HARD to find 911 Wide Body Convertible is a true cult iconic classic and hopefully will go to one of two types of people: either the true Porsche connoisseur or the intelligent avid classic car collector. When you take your new 911 out for a drive on Sunday Funday, drop the top and feel the warm sun beating down on your face and the wind blowing through your hair, down shift, drop the hammer and accelerate through a tight curvy road you will hear the unmistakable sound that only a true Porsche owner will ever hear. As the RPMs blast past 5000, you will now know why you just bought your new Porsche 911 Wide Body Convertible.

2014 Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid is one mean green machine

Sat, 20 Apr 2013

The entire Porsche Panamera lineup gets a refresh for the 2014 model year, and new additions to the range include two long-wheelbase models and this E-Hybrid fuel-sipper that makes its debut here at the Shanghai Motor Show. And, well, we say "fuel-sipper lightly."
Porsche has packed its hybrid Panamera with 416 horsepower and 435 pound-feet of torque, and that certainly makes for one quick sedan-hatchback-thing. Hitting 60 miles per hour will reportedly take just 5.2 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 167 mph. And while Porsche hasn't revealed specific powertrain details, the company says that the S E-Hybrid "improves upon the concept offered by the previous Panamera S Hybrid with a more powerful electric motor," which leads us to believe that the supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engine at the heart of it all still remains intact.
Fuel economy numbers (or estimates) have not been released as of this writing, but we expect to have that information closer to the car's on-sale date later this year. As for the new battery system, Porsche says that when plugged into a 240-volt charging station, it can be fully charged in just two and a half hours. When topped off, the Panamera S E-Hybrid should have an electric driving range of around 20 miles at speeds up to 84 mph, though, obviously, not at the same time.

Techart modified Porsche 911 Turbo S packs 620 hp, 0-62 in 2.8 seconds

Wed, 05 Mar 2014

Considering how many absolutely ridiculous tuner cars are featured in Geneva (stay tuned to see plenty, as our coverage continues), it's often refreshing to see some of the more modestly modified cars, like this new Porsche 911 Turbo S from the folks at Techart. Visually, there's a subtle body kit, new wheels, a new spoiler, and some lame decals on the front end, but it basically ends there. That's because Techart's mission is really about higher performance. Increased dynamism, as the Germans say.
An ordinary 911 Turbo S produces 560 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque. But the Techart kit adds 60 hp and 96 lb-ft to those already high numbers, for a coupe that dishes out a total of 620 hp and 612 lb-ft. Techart says that, in Sport Plus mode, its modified 911 Turbo S will accelerate to 62 miles per hour in just 2.8 seconds, and the top speed has been increased to 204 miles per hour. Crazy stuff.
To further drive its performance upgrades home, Techart has fitted this 911 Turbo S with a sport exhaust system with valve control, for a more robust exit interview, at the push of a button. We imagine it sounds awesome. Have a look at the Techart Turbo S in the gallery, above.

LaFerrari, McLaren P1, Porsche 918 and Agera R take to Assen

Tue, 10 Jun 2014

It's the show-down (sort of) we've all been waiting for. The battle of the hybrid hypercars from the performance powerhouses of Europe: Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 Spyder. No one publication has managed to get their hands on all three just yet, but this video has - and with a Koenigsegg Agera R thrown in for good measure.
The video was shot by our (unrelated) Dutch compatriots at Autoblog.nl at the TT Circuit Assen in the Netherlands. The track has played host to Champ Cars and all manner of racing bikes, but this could be the ultimate grid of actual production machinery that's ever lined up behind its start/finish line. Shame the weather was rainy and this unsurpassed array of supercars weren't really racing - more showing off for the crowds. But what a show it was. Scope out the footage in the video below.
