You are bidding on a rare 1975 Pontiac Trans AM. This car is a muscle car from the word go....... It is equipped from the factory with a matching numbers 400 cubic inch V-8 engine that has been upgraded with a rebuild about 15,000 miles ago, the previous owner said they bored the engine 40 over and put in a super Crane cam to enhance the performance, it sounds awesome with that low strong rumble coming through new flow master exhaust . It is 4 speed equipped and has the shaker hood and it is just fun to drive. The car came with factory air, everything is there but the belt has been removed according to the previouis owner to give it more horsepower, I don't know if it is operable or not. The floor boards and trunk area are in good shape with no rust problems. My wife and I have thoroughly enjoyed taking this car to the local cruise in's and just driving around town however, she says it's time to upgrade the house so, there you go. The car has new bright red paint on it, just had it painted less than a month ago with Dupont base clear, and the interior is nice with no rips or tears. It has a factory tach, console, and bucket seats so, if you are looking for a muscle car that will get up and go but one that you can still drive on the streets then check out my car. The wheels on the car look good but I still have the original Pontiac wheels that came on it put up in case the new owner wants them. I know you will like this beauty so look at the photos and give me a call if you have any other questions. I expect a $500.00 non refundable deposit within 3 days after auction ends and all remaining funds within 10 days. I will accept cash, wire transfer, or cashier's checks but, the car will not leave my possession until all funds are accounted for. My numbers are (850) 683-1142 or (850) 305-6209. Thanks for looking and bidding!

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally
Fri, 13 Jun 2014The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.
How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car
Fri, 17 Oct 2014Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.
