1980 PONTIAC TRANS AM TURBO
I am pleased to offer this 1980 Pontiac Trans Am Turbo that is an original one owner car to at least 2006. I have an incredible notebook which defines the history of this Trans Am. The notebook includes a dealer brochure, original warranty card, original owner’s manuals, original copy of the window sticker, selling dealer invoice and documented service history from day one till 2006. This Trans Am is simply beautiful and so original. The body is just about perfect. There is no rust and no unsightly blemishes. The windshield is excellent with no chips or cracks. The bird on the hood is a bit faded over the years but still nice, please refer to the pictures. The original alloy wheels are gorgeous and the T/A radials look new. Inside is the deluxe interior and all original of course. The fabric is somewhat worn but there are no rips, tears or unsightly blemishes. Although I do not have undercarriage pictures I will tell you that there are no issues underneath and no rust issues. The trunk has a new insulated mat as well as the original mat. The space saver spare is complete with bottle. All of the jack and tools are with the car. I have a new insulated hood pad that will be installed this week. It is a correct period piece. The pictures were taken before the pad came in. There are no mechanical issues. All of the gauges work and it has factory air conditioning. This is an outstanding car and it is so hard to find original examples that are this nice. I hope you like it as much as I do. As always call or email if you need additional information. KY bidders will add 6% usage tax and $199 transfer/doc fees. Out of state residents will add $128 to cover title fees, mailing costs, temporary tags, etc. Contact to be made by winning bidder within business 24 hours and a minimum partial payment to be made within 72 hours of auction end. The partial payment is non-refundable, unless we fail to deliver the goods as described. Balance will be due within 7 business days of the close of the auction. Any exceptions to be worked out before the completion of the sale. Auctions ending on a Friday or holiday will be addressed the follow business day. We will be happy to assist the new owner in arranging transportation from our nearby airport, Lexington Bluegrass Field, at no extra charge.

Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has issued a recall for a number of General Motors cars and crossovers bought or currently registered in the hot-climate states of Arkansas, Arizona, California, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas. As many as 40,859 units consisting of the 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, Pontiac Torrent and Saturn Ion and the 2007-2009 Chevrolet Cobalt (shown) and its Pontiac G5 twin are being recalled for potential fuel leaks.
This recall is being issued due to potentially faulty fuel pump components that can crack and cause gasoline to leak from the return or supply ports and possibly cause a fire. NHTSA has not indicated how many fuel leaks or vehicle fires have been reported. As a fix, GM will replace the fuel pump modules on all affected vehicles free of charge. Since Pontiac and Saturn have been shuttered, owners will be able to go to another GM-brand dealership to have their vehicles repaired.

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
