Very well-maintained Trans Am, with low miles! A real head-turner! The engine runs smooth as silk and is extremely reliable. Operationally, there are no defects with the car whatsoever. Oil changed regularly with fully synthetic oil. Always filled up with premium gasoline. SMOKE-FREE! The 5.7L (347.8 cu in) LS1 V8 provides 305 bhp and is the same engine used in the 97-04 Corvettes!
However, there are a few blemishes that could be quite easily fixed:
- Driver-side headlight pops up and works, but one of the hinges is broken, so it sits at an angle.
- There are two dents on the passenger-side rear fender, behind the door. One at the bottom that is very small, and one near the center that is larger.
- The driver seat has a tear in the upper left side.
- The radio antenna does not go up and down anymore - it is stuck half-way up, but the radio and CD player still work great.
- Each door has a small crack on the inner plastic in the same place - see photos.
- While some of the photos may show the disc brakes as looking rusty, once you drive the car and touch the brakes they shine right up (no rust)!
- The check engine light is NOT on - but it came on recently and was checked - it was just an emissions problem, not a real issue!
The car is currently in Skipwith, VA, but I am going to college in Christiansburg, VA. I still drive the car, so the mileage may go up a little. The car will either be in Skipwith or Christiansburg when it sells!
Shipping or pick-up is the responsibility of the buyer. Local pick-up is okay.

STUDY: Ford owns brand loyalty in 2009; Scorned Saturn, Pontiac buyers will look outside of GM
Fri, 16 Oct 2009Ford buyers appear to love their cars more than customers of any other automotive brand, returning back to the American automaker when it comes time to purchase their next vehicle. According to a study by Experian Automotive, six of the top 10 vehicles for customer brand loyalty wear badges from the Blue Oval. That includes the Ford Fusion (62.4 percent), Ford Edge (57.9 percent), Ford Five Hundred/Taurus (56 percent), Ford Freestyle (51.9 percent), Ford Escape (49.4 percent) and the Ford Focus (47.57 percent).
Other vehicles making up the top 10 include the Toyota Prius (52 percent), Chevy Impala (51.7 percent), Toyota Camry (47.8 percent) and Toyota Corolla (47.56 percent). This brings up an interesting question: With the closing of automotive brands like Saturn and Pontiac, where are those buyers to turn for their next automotive purchase?
Apparently, not back to General Motors. According to Experian, Pontiac owners are most likely to look to the Ford lineup for their next car or truck and Saturn shoppers will switch to Toyota or Honda - not particularly surprising given that Saturn was meant to compete with import brands. Experian predicts that GM's overall market share will fall from 20 percent to about 17.5 percent, with most of the slack being picked up by Ford, Honda and Toyota.
Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT
Fri, 10 Oct 2014The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. 1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction
Mon, 01 Aug 2011For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
