1981 Pontiac Trans Am. 78000 Original miles. Bought in Phoenix where is sat in the guys garage for 25 years. I had to put new tires in it just to get it out of his garage! I got it back to Albuquerque and changed the oil, fuel pump, dropped the tank and cleaned it and changed the pick up tube and it started and runs PERFECT! Changed the battery,the one that was in it was from Montgomery Wards! Changed the heater core because of a leak, what a pain it the butt! Rear bumper cover is ripped, he said the one time his wife drove it she backed up and bumped a post. Everything underneth is fine. He said he bought this car specifically because it didn't have a bird on the hood. I love the bird so I would put one on it. Car has original EVERYTHING!!! bumper to bumper except what I just listed I changed. Super fun to drive! Car has A/C needs charged, pw, ps, 4 wheel disc brakes, tilt, 4 Speed t-tops The doors don't sag one bit and the weatherstripping is good Please call for anymore questions... Herman at 505-264-3276

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
NHTSA investigating 550k Pontiac G6 models, 320k Honda Odysseys
Mon, 10 Jun 2013According to two separate reports in The Detroit News, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration is launching investigations into 550,000 Pontiac G6 (pictured above) and 320,000 Honda Odyssey (pictured right) models. The G6 models are all from the 2005 to 2007 model years, while the Odyssey minivans are from the 2003 and 2004 model years. The two NHTSA probes are not related.
In the case of the G6, this is an upgrade to an original investigation that started in February after NHTSA received "hundreds of reports" that the brake lights on these cars may malfunction. According to The Detroit News, the lights may come on when the brake pedal is not depressed, and likewise, the brake lights may not illuminate when the pedal has been pushed. General Motors was able to provide NHTSA with a significant number of warranty claims, including 1,100 reports that could potentially relate to this problem, one of which indicates a vehicle crash.
For Honda, the NHTSA probe concerns airbags that may deploy unexpectedly. The government agency received six complaints from 2003-04 Odyssey owners saying that the front airbags suddenly went off without a crash. The Detroit News reports that three of the six owners sustained injuries from these incidents. Additionally, NHTSA has received 41 complaints from owners saying the vehicle's airbag warning light had illuminated.
