I've decided to let go of one of my se's there is alot to type and ill probly forget something so if something is left out feel free to call me or text me.these car are very rare and restored bring alot of money they are hard to find for a decent price in restorable condition .This car is 98% original exept for the heater hoses and tires which the factory tires were taken off recently as they were rotten.it is the most original se ive ever seen and ive owned 5 in my life it still even has the original packard plug wires and ac plugs that still power the car it is an all numbers matching car and it still retains its factory exhaust which will need to.be replaced soon. Like earlier stated the car will run and drive it shifts out fine but the car had been sitting for years before i started it .i pured alittle gas in the carb and it started right up. It does have a rattly sound to it but itrevs and runs fine and it doesnt make the noise all the time it may be a collapsed lifter but it runs decent for a car thats 36 years old!!.the car will need restoring but it is a great start. I have the phs on the car showing it is a real se y82 car. The build sheet was eaten by rats! The car still has its factory floormats. The gas tank has been removed for cleaning but buyer can still drive or hear the car run with a temp gas tank. I do have a extra new fuel pump that will go with the car.the ac compressor and accumulator are off the car right now but i have them. The odometer on the car shows 02744 i have no way as of now to verfy but i have no reason to doubt this car has very few miles first off it still has all its original vacuum lines and plug wires and retainers everything is untouched the delco remy brake booster still has some of its cadium plating on it and u can still see the factory green inspection mark on it . it still has the heat tube in place for the carb and i belive the rad hoses may be original .the front floor pans are in great shape with no rust through but the rear pans will need replacing .the trunk pan has a bad spot and will need to.be patched and the rh quarter panel also will need to be replaced the lh will need a patch at the bottom the frame rails are very solid and underneath looks very solid as well .its a typical sat outside for a few years alabama trans am the car has never been undercoated and looks very good on the bottom the only reason the rear pans are bad is because of the ttops and the way the water stood in them. The pasenger side door will need a skin it has some rust thru at the bottom and the lh side of the cowl area will need to.be patched as it had a bunch of leaves and pinestraw pilled up.and it caused the rust through but the under cowl area is fine iv included a pic of it .this car was purchased new in pell city alabama at baggett pontiac gmc in pell city alabama were it has spent it whole life untill i purchased it. Th car still has its original paint and whats left of the decals. I will send pics of the phs upon request ebay will not let me put enough pics on here .it still has all its factory options and they work it has power windows, power locks ,passenger vanity mirror, door edge guards, body side mouldings, which arent on the car, delco am/fm radio that still works! And i belive the 8 track would work if u had a tape it makes a sound through the speakers when u turn it on. Even the key buzzer comes on when u turn it on! and of course y82 se appearance package , the dash is in great shape with no cracks or damage. The carpet was pulled for inspection and the seats will need recovering but the tracks are solid the rear seat top is in great shape but the bottoms will need recovering was told the car was parked possibly a soldier owned car it sat in a feild for several years before being rescued i belive i am the third owner of the car .to sum it up this is a very restorable overall solid southern genuine y82 se trans am as i said earlier these cars are of course movie cars and they will continue to go up up in price with no end in sight!!! This is someones chance to own one of the rare iconic collectible movie cars ! And this is a very untouched factory low mile car again showing 0244 on the odometer!!!! Thanks and any questions dont hesitate to call me at 205-270-0115 i cant ship but i can help you or your shipper load it it has four good tires and it will drive on a trailer thanks and good luck !!! also i have alot more  pics ebay will only let me load 24 so if needed i can text or email as many as needed thanks!

How to turn a Pontiac Fiero into a trackday car

Fri, 17 Oct 2014

Imagine hitting the track in a mid-engine, rear-wheel drive sports coupe that's affordable and has pretty good parts availability. It might sound like a pipe dream, but it's actually quite possible, if you're willing to think a little outside the box. The Pontiac Fiero is out there just waiting for a little work to turn it into a competent racing machine.
Think about it for a second. Of course, we would all like to be snaking through the curves in something exotic, but what happens when you crash or something breaks? The bills are going to mount up quickly. However, if you ball up a Fiero at the track, as long as you're not hurt, then it's not a huge tragedy.
That's basically the story of Steven Snyder in a new video from Drive starring Matt Farah. Snyder wanted to go to the track cheaply and ended up with an awesome little Fiero with a huge wing and a claimed 220 horsepower at the wheels thanks to a V6 from a Chevrolet Lumina. Check out the video to see how this pint-size Pontiac performs.

Official USPS Muscle Cars stamps coming to a mailbox near you

Thu, 21 Feb 2013

As much as our digital lives have cut down on our trips to the post office, there are still times that sending "snail mail" is necessary. With us car lovers in mind and philately in their hearts, the good folks at the United States Postal Service will introduce a new stamp design called "Muscle Cars" starting on February 22.
Designed by artist Tom Fritz, the new collection of stamps consist of five classic muscle cars: 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona, 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS, 1967 Shelby GT-500, 1966 Pontiac GTO and 1970 Plymouth Hemi 'Cuda. In addition to just the stamps, the USPS is also commemorating the new series with plenty of collectable memorabilia. Previous car-related stamps include 50s Sporty Cars from 2005 and 50s Fins and Chrome from 2008.

GM recalling 778,000 Cobalts and G5s, six deaths reported

Thu, 13 Feb 2014

General Motors has announced that it will be recalling 778,562 compact cars after six people were killed in accidents, partially due to the airbags' failure to deploy. An issue with the ignition switch is causing the airbag issues, as well as causing the engine and other components to shut off without warning. The recall covers the 2005 to 2007 model year Chevrolet Cobalt and 2007 Pontiac G5. (Note that the Cobalt pictured above is a 2009 model.)
According to a report from Automotive News, a number of factors can cause the ignition to switch out of the run position, including weights on the key ring, rough or bumpy roads or other "jarring" events. Any of these situations could lead to some vehicle components not functioning properly.
There have been five fatal front-impact crashes that took the lives of six people, although as a GM spokesman noted, all five of the crashes happened off road and at high speed. In each of these cases, though, the lack of airbags wasn't the only lethal factor - alcohol and failure to wear a seat belt also played a role. Outside of the fatal accidents, there have been 17 other crashes where airbags didn't deploy. It's unclear if any of these crashes were caused by the engine shutting off.
