VIN:  2W87Z6N609813

MILEAGE: 32939 reading and I'm sure you can add another 100,000, but things are new or rebuilt.

UP FRONT discloser and time saver!!!!!!!!!! This is a good looking car, it is solid, the black paint is brilliant and about 6 months old, the decals very nice, the interior is new, the honey comb wheels good, the Firestone tire good, the gauges and lights work, The 455 engine is built hot "rocket fast", the transmission is a Turbo 400 with a reverse manual valve body, "you have to shift like a manual transmission", the rear-end is a Ford 9 inch to hold the strong engine, its a positive traction and 3.73 ratio. The car is super nice, but its not a $100,000 roll out of the trailer show queen.

WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is not a car for Grandma, its fast, its a real Muscle Car, but its very drivable.

WHO YOU ARE BUYING FROM:  My name is Ron Watson and I live in the small town of Athens, TennesseeAthens is called the friendly city”. We are located in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains in east Tennessee. I am 66 years old and work with my son Keith who is now 41. I am now retired and living my dream restoring, selling and improving classic cars. For 12 years I was an auto mechanics instructor at Tennessee Technology Center here in Athens. I am also a veteran of the US Army; I served as a Chinook helicopter mechanic, crew chief and instructor in the late 60s, I did spend a year in Vietnam.  I’m Southern Baptist faith and proud to be an American.  I’ve been married to the same good woman for almost 43 years. LIFE IS GOOD IN THE GREEN HILLS OF EAST TENNESSEE!

WILL I SELL THE CAR OFF EBAY MOTORS? Yes, I'm not crazy, I know the most of you are not registered on ebay and use it as a research tool.

MY REAL PRICE IS $16,800!!!! That's what it take to buy the car on or off ebay motors, you dealers wanting to resell have to pay the same. I have been doing this for a long time and I know the game, I don't play it the same as most and I sell every car I put for sell.

PLEASE NO TRADES!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Thank you, but I will not trade, why should I trade when I have a hot selling car, I don't need motor cycles, boats, jewelry or your used false teeth.

I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY!!!!! I worship on sunday, I spend time with my family and I rest. I'm doing this because I love it, "I need a day off". I will be happy to show you cars 6 days a week, call in advance to set up a time.

Sorry, but I do not do videos. I'm old and don't want to learn and mess with them, I sell my cars anyway.

TITLE: The title matches the VIN on the car, I have the clear title in hand. We are just a father/son operation working out our garage, but I have dealers license to keep things legal.

IS THERE ANY RUST PROBLEMS?    This is no rust bucket, the underside looks good, but not sanded smooth and detailed for show.  No rusted holes or rust bubbles in the paint. It is no rust bucket. The back bottom of the floor pans have been replaced with the correct ones, look close at the pictures.

IS THERE ANY ACCIDENT DAMAGE?  None that I can find and the title states none.

WHY AM I SELLING THIS CAR?     I’m a retired mechanic/auto-mechanic instructor/was a Army helicopter mechanic and instructor. When I find a truck or car I like for a good price I buy it fix things and resell for a fair profit.

IS THIS A MATCHING NUMBERS CAR? No!

PAINT:    The black paint is nice, the car is straight when you look down the sides, it has no rust bubbles, no  dents or car door dings. You have to look with a very critical eye to find a spec or defect, but there are a few small minor ones, "its black"..

The paint would be consider extra nice

CHROME:      No much chrome on the car, we put new door handles on and a new emblem in front.

INTERIOR:   No smoke smell, the seat covers are new, the carpet new, the door panels good, the headliner new (it still has some wrinkles where it was rolled for shipping/I think most will come out in the hot sun. The dash is good other than the crack that all these old Trans Am have, it where they change levels.

RADIO: The radio is a cheap after market AM/FM cassette, not working, it just fills the hole.

UNSERSIDE:    Solid, but not painted shinny to put mirrors under at the car show. Its not a rust bucket, the frame looks good as wheel as the body mounts and floor pans, the back floor pans bottom has been replaced with the correct pans.

GLASS:    The glass is fine, the door glasses roll up and down decent.

ENGINE:    Engine is a rebuilt 455 that runs super strong, it has roller rockers and is detailed out good, the carburetor is a dual line Holley, the hoses and belts look new. It runs good with no knocks or rattles.

I have a new fan shroud ordered, the car did not have one, it need it.

EXHAUST SYSTEM:  Good condition with the Muscle Car sound, looks like 2 1/2 inch pipes with Flow Master mufflers, the header are full tubes and not coated.

The exhaust sounds better than good!

TRANSMISSION:   Its a Turbo 400 that I had rebuilt at Pro Torque, it has a reverse manual valve body, you have to shift like a manual, it has a B&M shifter. The reverse manual valve body is a different animal, you need to research it to make sure you will be happy with it.

REAR-END:     It has no bearing noises, no growls, it is a Ford 9 inch, this is done because they are strong. I check the ratio and it checks to be about 3.73 to 1, it is positive traction.

BRAKES:  Good, they are disc in front and drums in the rear.

STEERING:   The cars drives very good, it is power steering and has the big sway bar in front.

WHEELS AND TIRES:      The wheels are nice honey comb with good Firestone tires.

LIGHTS:     They work, turn signals work, headlights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, dome light works.

GUAGES:   Gas gauge works, speedometer works, but is 25 miles fast, the oil and temp work, the volts work, the add on tachometer works. Horn is not working.

CAR HAS FRAME CONNECTORS FROM THE FRONT SUBFAME TO THE BACK SUBFRAME:: This is a good thing, it helps keep the body from twisting.

THIS CAR HAD air conditioning from the factory. The inside stuff is in place, the compressor and condenser are gone, to make the heat and air system work right I recommend putting a new after market unit on, like Vintage Aire.

HOW DO THE DOORS AND HOOD OPEN AND CLOSE and panel fit?    I think the doors fit and open very good, the hood and trunk fit good for a 1969.

WOULD I DRIVE THE CAR HOME ON A LONG TRIP: I never recommend driving a old car home, I just test drive them and drive them some around town, but I do think this car would drive anywhere.

DID I RESTORE THIS CAR? No! I did lots of work, but I don't call it a 100 point restoration.

TRADES: Please no trades, they never work out and are just to hard!

**************I DO NOT SHOW CARS ON SUNDAY AND I'M HARD TO GET ON THE PHONE, PLEASE EMAIL ON SUNDAY!**************

The rest of the information is boring unless you are really interested in buying the car, its just buying details like shipping, paperwork, who I am, where the car is located and how to pay and contact information.

CONTACT INFO: my cell is 423-506-8987, I do not answer when driving, while meeting with people, after about 8:00 PM Eastern Time or on Sunday. Please leave a voice mail and I’ll get back. I do check my emails several times a day.

     cell    423-506-8987     email:  dreamcar@live.com

PAPERWORK: I know what to do! WE DO NOT HAVE A SHOW ROOM WITH OVERHEAD! We are just a father/son 2 man operation, but we are a Tennessee licensed/bonded car dealer and have sold cars all over the US and exported many.

THIS IS NOT AN AUCTION, THIS IS A FIXED PRICE LISTING: I reserve the right to stop the listing at any time and sale the vehicle “come look”.

I RESERVE TH RIGHT TO STOP THE LISTING AT ANY TIME. THE CAR IS FOR SALE ON THE LOCAL MARKET.

WHERE THE CAR IS LOCATED:  The car is here at my garage in Athens, Tennessee. Athens is in east Tennessee, we are 50 miles south of  Knoxville. Look at a Road Atlas and follow interstate 75 south from Knoxville. I live one mile and one turn from the interstate exit. My zip code is 37303. The closest large airport is Knoxville. Athens does have a good small airport, but has no commercial flights.

US OR EXPORT "Nations Auto Transport" is located in the Kansas City area: This is a good company that will handle any type of transport in the US or overseas.

Call Jim Page....his work number is 816-295-6887 and his email is jpage@shipnat.com

MY AREA CODE FOR TRANSPORT: The area code for Athens, Tennessee is 37303. I live 1 mile off a major interstate (I-75) and 35 miles south of interstate 40,  so transport is usually very fast.

PAYMENT: I require a $250 deposit for a Buy Now or to hold the car. I will take this by PayPal, but not full payment.

Option 1: Pay the old school way with green face to face.

Option 2: Pay by check, I will wait till the most checks clear, I have had

a fake bank certified check.  I will take a bank cashiers check with lots of

identification and advance notice so I can check you out.

Option 3: The safest is to let our banks handle it, my bank is a

member of the US Federal Reserve, this is called wire

transfer. I will not give out my banking information until I get your information.

INSPECTIONS: Please come look and be happy. All inspections are required to be done before the end of the listing. I listed this car as I see it as a 66 year old car restorer, please come and judge it for your self. I judge the car to my standards, this may not be yours. Paid inspectors are unpredictable, you might get a good one, but lots of them do not impress me at all, they make a good car sound bad on the report. They have to be very critical to cover their back sides and all their concerned about is getting paid. I understand how hard it is to buy a car without looking, but I think you should come look yourself.  I don’t like paid inspectors, I like for the person that is buying to inspect for themselves. I think its fine to send a friend to inspect for you. To make it clear, don’t hit the buy now button and then inspect, come inspect first, I will not stop the listing and wait for a inspector!

TRADES: Please no trades!

I do not finance cars! If your going to finance, get pre-approved.

BOTTOM LINE:    My price is really $16,800 and I am firm. The game is not rocket science, ask a price and come down, but I don't like that game. It’s not fun to bargain over the cell phone all day long with people that live 2000 miles away and are not going to buy anyway. My firm price is the Buy Now price. I have sold every car I have ever tried to, so I’m not motivated to be bargained down.

PLEASE!!!!!!   PLEASE!!!!! PLEASE!!!!! Come look at this vehicle.

Please don’t hit the Buy Now button unless your ready to really buy it!

Do your research, call me with questions, read my feed backs, I am ebay verified; this means they say I’m a real person in a real place.

I WILL BE VERY HAPPY TO SELL YOU THE VEHICLE WITH-OUT AN INSPECTION; YOU JUST HAVE TO HAVE A LOT OF NERVE AND PLEASE DON’T BE A CRY BABY.

Read the ME section on the upper right hand part of the listing marked seller info.

Thank You,

Ron Watson                  cell: 423-506-8987        email: dreamcar@live.com

Trans Am Depot teases 2014 GTO

Mon, 24 Jun 2013

Here comes the Judge. Court is in session. The verdict is in. How many more tired clichés can we come up with? It hardly seems to matter, because it's happening: Trans Am Depot has announced via the teaser video below that it is launching a 2014 GTO, complete with Carousel Red (bright orange, really) paint and full Judge badging.
The car is based on Trans Am Depot's 6T9 Goat, which, in case you don't get the reverential references, is meant to mimic the look of the 1969 Pontiac GTO. As with the company's other cars -including the 2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am we recently drove - the GTO will be based on the current Chevy Camaro, which means two doors, V8 engines and rear-wheel drive, just like the muscle cars of days past.
As for actual details of what's under the 2014 GTO's hood, we're completely left hanging. We'd expect some sort of power adder (turbo, supercharger or possibly some other form of a highly massaged version of the Camaro's V8), and we certainly know that GM has any number of hi-po crate engines to choose from.

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

Airbag recall adds 85k Pontiac Vibes to tally

Fri, 13 Jun 2014

The repairs needed for the faulty airbag inflators supplied by Takata continue to expand. Toyota initially announced a recall of 766,300 vehicles equipped with the bad part on June 11 as a followup to a campaign from 2013. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opened a preliminary evaluation into five automakers who also used the component in their models. Now, NHTSA has released the official announcement of the latest Toyota recall listing 844,277 affected cars, including the newly added 2003-2004 Pontiac Vibe.
While NHTSA's document didn't include a model-by-model breakdown, General Motors spokesperson Alan Adler estimated to Autoblog that roughly 85,000 Vibes in the US would be covered under the latest recall. Like the rest of the affected models, the airbag inflator could rupture in a crash causing the bag not to work correctly, possibly spraying metal fragments at the occupant.
Toyota spokesperson Cindy Knight told Autoblog that the reason for the disparity between the earlier press release and NHTSA document was that Toyota was continuing to comb through VINs to create a list of affected vehicles. The original number was an estimate of that process at the time. Scroll down to the recall report from NHTSA.
