*** SUPER CLEAN *** VERY RARE ***

WE PURCHASED THIS VERY CLEAN 1962 PONTIAC TEMPEST “LE MANS” FROM ITS 3RD OWNER, WHO OWNED AND MAINTAINED ( TUNE UPS- OIL CHANGES-FILTERS..ETC..) IT FOR A FEW YEARS AND SOLD BECAUSE OF PURSUING OTHER VEHICLE VENTURES…  THIS CAR WAS ORIGINALLY BOUGHT AND OWNED BY THE SAME FAMILY SINCE 1962 UNTIL 2009… YES- A LITTLE OLD LADY DROVE AND ENJOYED THIS CAR UNTIL THE EARLY 70’S… HER HUSBAND- BECAUSE OF HEALTH AND AGE COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR, SO HE PUT THE CAR IN STORAGE – IT WAS STORED FOR OVER 39 YEARS…. THE SECOND OWNER STUMBLED UPON THE CAR WHILE DOING MAINTENANCE ON THE HOME IT WAS STORED IN.. GOOD THING HE WAS A “CAR-GUY” AND PONTIAC ENTHUSIAST !!!  HE DID A MILD “BODY ON FRAME” RESTORATION- INCLUDING THE ORIGINAL FACTORY “GOLD” COLOR WHICH IT WAS RE-PAINTED WITH A VERY NICE DRIVER QUALITY BASE COAT/CLEAR COAT… AFTER OWNING AND ENJOYING FOR A FEW YEARS THE SECOND OWNER DECIDED TO ALLOW ANOTHER ENTHUSIAST TO ENJOY THIS NEAT LITTLE PONTIAC…. DURING ITS MILD RESTORATION :  REPLACEMENT “RUST FREE” FRONT FENDERS WERE PUT ON… RECENTLY SERVICED AND MAINTAINED UP TO DRIVER STANDARDS…STOUT AND REBUILT “TROPHY 4” ( HALF OF PONTIACS FAMOUS “389” V8 ) FIRES RIGHT UP..SMOOTH SHIFTING OPTIONAL 2-SPEED REAR MOUNTED TRANSMISSION..GOOD BRAKES AND RUBBER… EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR CRUISE NIGHTS OR THE OCCASIONAL CAR SHOW …  VERY SOLID AND HONEST UNDERCARRIAGE , FIREWALL, TRUNK..  LOOKING FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT ???  OR WHAT WE WERE THINKING – PUTTING A HEALTHY “LS” SERIES MOTOR IN IT….

2013 Hurst Edition Trans Am

Mon, 13 May 2013

No, you didn't read our title wrong. This is a 2013 model year Trans Am, and yes, that is a Pontiac logo affixed to the front of the car. But don't bother dialing up your local General Motors dealership just yet. This is the new Hurst Edition Trans Am created by the Trans Am Depot located in Tallahassee, FL. Having spent a number of years restoring early Trans Am models, the crew at Trans Am Depot finally did what many Pontiac enthusiasts wish GM would have done - create a modern Trans Am using the fifth-generation Chevrolet Camaro.
As the former owner of a 1977 model, I've been wanting to check out Trans Am Depot ever since I first saw the company have American Choppers build a trio of motorcycles inspired by its Pontiac remakes. So I jumped at the chance to head to Florida's capital city to visit the shop and drive its latest creation, the new Hurst Edition Trans Am. As a collaboration with Hurst, this car made its debut at the 2012 SEMA Show and then popped up again on our radar with a cheesy yet perfectly fitting video back in March.

This 1927 Oakland is a minimalist hot rod

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

There are hundreds of American automakers that sprung up during the dawn of the automotive era, only to fold into obscurity or get gobbled up by what would eventually become the Big Four (yes, we're counting AMC here). Oakland is one such company, which was the forbearer for General Motors' Pontiac division. Sold until 1931, you simply don't see Oakland-badged cars anymore. Unless, that is, you know Brian Bent.
Bent drives a 1927 Oakland that still rides on wooden wheels. Its original wooden wheels, from the sound of it. That makes this anachronist and his Oakland the perfect subject for a Petrolicious video. Like many of the cars highlighted by Petrolicious, this old Oakland has had some work done to it, featuring a Pontiac flathead engine that's been pushed forward and a clutch pack built by Bent.
Take a look below for a closer look at this rare and fascinating Oakland.

The Poncho is dead. Long live the Poncho. Like certain other reoccurring personal maladies, the aftermarket community simply can't let the Trans Am go without another flare up. The guys at Trans Am Depot have worked up a quick commercial for their newest creation: The 2013 Trans Am Hurst Edition, and it watches pretty much like you'd expect it to. The footage is comprised of just about every TA male fantasy you can conceive of, from Daisy Dukes and white tank tops to tramp stamps, bikinis and ice cream cones. There simply aren't words for what you'll see below.
Of course, we like our T-Tops as much as the next guy. If you like what you see in the videos, you can pick up your very own TA by heading over to the Trans Am Depot site. The guys even have Chevrolet Camaro-based versions of the Pontiac GTO if the '77 TA treatment is too much for your tastes. Enjoy, but don't say we didn't warn you.
