i am selling what started as a project to clone it to a 70 gto but no longer have the time or money as i will be moving to frankfurt on the 30th, But the car will stay in my fathers garage until winner/buyer is able to pick up.

the title is clean, the original color was beige but i painted it at my college as a project back in early 2000s so the paint was not a good pro quality paint job and the body is straight with no major dents. only 3 inch dent and scuffs on the paint.

car has AC vents, but no AC compressor system.

original mileage read on speedometer is 85,430 miles

it does not have the original 350 v8 pontiac block it came with, it has a chevy block 383 stroker engine, i bought the block and the shop built the 383 for me  and a turbo 400 transmission from TCI transmissions purchased from summit. Engine has headers, edelbrock 750cfm 4 barrel carb and edelbrock torker manifold and stock heads.the engine and tranny have not been broken in fully.. i would say it has had at least 80 miles on the rebuilt chevy block and the transmission is new so not even broken in fully. it was a stock column shift lemans but we added a b&m floor shifter. so its not original. the car runs great but if you want to race it or make faster i recommend you get an auburn differecial posi traction carrier with 3:55 rear gears or up to your liking.

I am currently changing the oil gasket and filter and oil pump on the car as you can see by the pics the car is on ramps but as soon as its done, its ready to go to its new home. just needs tender love and care.. clone it to a gto or leave it lemans.

i can send more pics upon request,

buyer responsible for shipping or picking up. will hold until buyer can pick up.

GM doing fine at retaining Pontiac owners

Fri, 28 Oct 2011

This isn't the first time we've reported positive news about General Motors retaining former Pontiac owners. Get a few more stories like this latest report from Edmund's Auto Observer, and it will mark an ongoing positive trend for GM. Edmunds.com crunched the numbers to see how well the General is hanging on to customers after shutting out the lights at Pontiac, and it found that nearly 40 percent of Pontiac owners stayed with a vehicle from a General Motors brand.
The numbers are a little lower than an earlier R.L. Polk & Company study, but Edmunds says General Motors is keeping more former Pontiac buyers than it has since 2007. Most are turning to vehicles from Chevrolet, especially during January and February of 2011, when GM incentivized Pontiac owners to stay under the umbrella. Those moves seem to have worked, and 28.1 percent of Pontiac owners trading up made the jump into a Bowtie.
Buyers that have gone elsewhere have largely stayed loyal to Domestic automakers, with Ford picking up the most conquests from Pontiac, with 9.4 percent switching. Toyota and Honda picked up 7.4 percent of the pool of former Pontiac drivers. The numbers are defying any predictions that Pontiac buyers would completely exit the General Motors fold, and have climbed up closer to parity with the retention figures of other GM brands from a 2009 low of only 16 percent retention.

GM recalling 8.4M cars, 8.2M related to ignition problems

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

General Motors today announced a truly massive recall covering some 8.4 million vehicles in North America. Most significantly, 8.2 million examples of the affected vehicles are being called back due to "unintended ignition key rotation," though GM spokesperson Alan Adler tells Autoblog that this issue is not like the infamous Chevy Cobalt ignition switch fiasco.
For the sake of perspective, translated to US population, this total recall figure would equal a car for each resident of New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Montana, Delaware, South Dakota, Alaska, North Dakota, the District of Columbia, Vermont and Wyoming. Combined. Here's how it all breaks down:
7,610,862 vehicles in North America being recalled for unintended ignition key rotation. 6,805,679 are in the United States.

GM recalling another 1.3-million cars over power steering woes

Mon, 31 Mar 2014

When it rains, it pours. General Motors has announced yet another major recall, covering 1.3 million units in the American market over concerns that the power steering could suddenly fail. As reported by The Detroit News' David Shepardson, GM has now recalled nearly ten times as many cars as it did all of last year.
It's important to note that should this problem arise in these cars, the steering won't fail completely, however, power steering could suddenly stop functioning. Manual steering would still be possible, but as GM says, there's an increased risk of accidents, particularly at lower speeds.
Like the ignition switch recall, this latest problem covers a wide range of vehicles from Chevrolet, Saturn and Pontiac. Normally, we'd give you the full rundown in paragraph form, but the variety of models and model years means a list is just easier. So, have a look, directly from GM's press release:
