1964 Pontiac Lemans Convertible 326 Automatic '64 Gto Tempest on 2040-cars

You're bidding on my 1964 Pontiac Lemans convertible. It has a 326 v-8 with an automatic transmission (column shift). This was a barn find that I purchased several years ago, hoping to restore it, but it has been sitting in my driveway since I've had it as I've done nothing to it. It is a factory Saddle Bronze color with a Saddle interior and Black top. The car appears to be complete as you can tell in the pictures, but it does have some significant rust in the floors, trunk floor, lower fenders, quarter panels and doors. The doors sag and rub the front edge of the quarter panels. There are some areas in the frame that have some rust-thru as well. The right front tie rod sleeve is broken so the R/F tire does not steer. It has the taillight assemblies and the gas filler door trim that still has the handle on it. The power top pump, cylinders, hoses & switch are still in place. I have the keys to it, but I've never tried to turn the engine over. This would make a great parts car with the complete convertible trim pieces and interior panels, or it could be restored or cloned into a GTO convertible, with extensive work. Although the ad says there is a salvage title, I do not have a title for this car. The guy I bought it from promised me a clear title but I never got it. The auction does not include the two 15" Rally II wheels - they will be replaced with roller tires & wheels. Please ask any questions before bidding. If you would like pictures of specific areas, provide me with your email address and I can forward them to you.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping arrangements & costs. A $500 non-refundable PayPal payment is due from the winning bidder within 48 hours after the auction ends. The remainder is to either be paid in cash at the time of pick-up or by certified bank check, but the car will not leave my premises until my bank has assured me that the funds have been safely deposited.

General Motors has announced another set of recalls, covering some 2.42 million cars in the United States. For those keeping track, The General has now recalled over 15 million cars worldwide this year due to various issues.
Here's the breakdown for this most recent set of recalls:

This KITT replica sold at auction for $32,500

Thu, Apr 23 2020

UPDATE: This 1987 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am KITT replica officially sold for $32,500. Here's hoping the new owner has a blast throwin' it into Pursuit Mode. Let's get one thing straight right off the bat: This isn't a perfect KITT replica. The original KITT used in the Knight Rider TV series was based on a 1982 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am. The one you see above, which is currently for sale at auction site Bring A Trailer, is a 1987 model, and since it's a GTA edition, it has some extra body cladding that the smooth-sided television car lacked. That aside, most casual observers would probably never notice the difference, and even those who did (like us) are still likely to be impressed by the car's transformation. This KITT replica is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. It ought to be fairly quick, though quite a bit shy of the fictional car's very fictional 300-mph top speed. We're not exactly Knight Rider experts, but some quick Google sleuthing suggests that the Knight Industries Two Thousand supposedly cost more than $11,000,000 to build in Hollywoodland. This one will surely command a significantly lower sum — as of this writing, it's been bid up to $18,000 with four days remaining on the auction. This content is hosted by a third party. There are several videos of the car that detail its modifications inside and out, but suffice it to say it seems to be a well-sorted replica. Here's hoping its new owner keeps it well clear of other KARRs. Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.

Woodward Dream Cruise Photo Gallery | Classics and American muscle

Sun, Aug 21 2022

The 2022 running of the Woodward Dream Cruise just went down, and we were there from morning to evening drinking in the sweet sights and pre-emissions exhaust fumes. Yes, it’s a little smelly on Woodward Ave. this time of year. Just like always, the Dream Cruise invites all comers to cruise their machines on Woodward from Ferndale, MI to Pontiac, MI. Everybody is invited, but the original intent of the Dream Cruise was to highlight classic American muscle cars. YouÂ’ll see plenty of those in our mega gallery above, but weÂ’ve sprinkled it with a bunch of other vehicle types, such as modern muscle and other intriguing American vehicles. Similar to years past, though, sometimes the classics arenÂ’t the most entertaining thing to look at on Woodward. ThatÂ’s why weÂ’ll have other mega galleries coming soon, highlighting the weird cars and (great) dogs of the Cruise, all the imports and exotics you can imagine and a special one for all the trucks of Woodward — perhaps even more so than in years past, the truck population on Dream Cruise day was quite high. Click through above to see all the classics you wouldÂ’ve seen had you been roadside on the day of the cruise. And if you missed this yearÂ’s event, make sure you check out what happens next year. You wonÂ’t be alone, as itÂ’s estimated that over 1 million people attend the Dream Cruise to either watch from the side of the road or to sit in the most glorious traffic jam in the world.
