I am selling this rare 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge. This Judge has only 33,465 documented miles since new and could be the lowest mile Judge in the country… It is an original L74 Ram Air III 4-Speed Muncie (M20) car with the rare factory AC option. The car runs & drives phenomenal and it has been pampered and protected since the documented complete restoration. The car has only been driven 5101 miles since that time and it has been in my private collection .
The paint is in the original Pepper Green with Black Vinyl top. The body is super straight and the bodylines are excellent. The car was repainted only one time and that was when it was restored. The chrome, trim, bright work, and glass all show very well and it sports the correct wheels & tires. There are a couple of thin hairline cracks on the front Endura bumper that run horizontal from lights to the hood.
The engine is the original numbers matching Ram Air III correctly restored and rebuilt as well. I have pictures of the motor completely disassembled during the restore. Under the hood the engine bay area and components are restored correctly with correct parts down to the hoses and clamps and including paint marks. Everything is completely functional including cold factory AC.
The transmission is the original numbers matching Muncie M20 4-speed with the part ID tag still in tact. The transmission of course was rebuilt and restored professionally as well. The rear end was rebuilt to original with a factory 3.23 gear ratio.
ONLY PRICE: $19,900

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day
Thu, 07 Jun 2012Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.
General Lee takes on Bandit T/A in classic Hollywood car showdown [w/poll]
Fri, 26 Aug 2011You don't have to be born in the 1960s or 1970s to be able to recognize the General Lee from The Dukes of Hazzard and the Pontiac Trans Am from Smokey and the Bandit. These old school four-wheeled stars seem to transcend demographics thanks to the miles of film that show the orange 1969 Dodge Charger and the jet-black 1977 Pontiac Trans Am performing seemingly impossible stunts.
The folks at Hot Rod magazine are obviously hip to this fact, and they put together a fun video in tribute of the instantly recognizable duo. Hit the jump to watch on as Sam Young and James Smith replace Bo Duke and The Bandit for a bit of dirt-road shenanigans in a pair of otherwise well cared for classics. We're not so sure we'd call it the best chase scene ever, but it sure looks like a lot of fun.
More importantly, which of these two cars would you rather own? Have your say in our poll below.
