This is a 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge documented by the PHS. Exterior is the rare Midnight Green color, with all the badges/stripes and Judge
decals on the fenders and the spoiler. It has the original Rally II rims and the factory green tinted glass. The build sheet shows it was
originally a 400 ci with a 3 speed trans, and Ram Air III with the hood scoops. The engine and trans were gone when I bought it. The car
has power steering and disc brakes. The interior is black, with bucket seats/console, and the Judge badge on the glovebox. Some of the new
parts are: windshield, driver's door glass, headliner, and carpet. Body had minor surface rust and minor dents. The trunk pan did have some
rust holes, so it was replaced with a new one. I have all PHS documentation and build sheet from 1969 that will go with the car. Please
email or call (719) 200-4566 with any questions you may have. My car is also listed locally, and I reserve the right to cancel this auction
at any time. The car is sold as is with no warranty, and buyer is responsible for any shipping fees. Please bid on the car ONLY if you have
the money(and permission) to actually follow through with the purchase. Good luck, happy bidding, and maybe your bid will win this great
american rare muscle car for your collection. I have a clear Colorado title in hand.

Lutz says GM was working on 5th-gen Pontiac GTO
Thu, 08 Aug 2013Bob Lutz was one of the forces behind bringing the Holden Monaro to the United States, as the ill-fated Pontiac GTO in 2004. And while that car received critical acclaim, it was a sales disappointment. Now, Road & Track is reporting that our suspicions were correct - Pontiac was working on a two-door, G8-based coupe before it was shuttered.
In that R&T article, which is no longer available online, Lutz explained that the new GTO would solve many of the issues found in the original. Car Advice speculates that the new model would have look like a rebadged version of the Holden Coupe 60 Concept from 2008, a conclusion we also came to.
That car would have been a big departure from the 2004 to 2006 GTO. It has an extremely long hood and short rear deck, with an almost fastback roofline and a wide greenhouse with a tall beltline. The wheel arches were very pronounced, and the chin and rocker panel splitters gave it a race-ready look. Would it have been enough to make the GTO work in the US? We think it might of, but it looks like we'll never know.
Watch as Hot Rod goes from El Paso to LA the hard way
Tue, 21 Feb 2012There are few things simultaneously more romantic and idiotic than taking a road trip in a beaten-down heap of a car. Trust us. We know. David Freiburger and Mike Finnegan of Hot Rod Magazine fame recently undertook an epic trip from El Paso, Texas to Los Angeles with the express goal of doing so for under $1,500, including the purchase price of a vehicle, food, lodging, repairs and, most importantly, fuel. With this in mind, the duo settled on a 1972 Pontiac Catalina for a lofty $650. Hilarity ensues.
Realizing that no one actually wants a Catalina sulking around the shop, Freiburger and Finnegan put the car up for auction on eBay Motors the instant they had the title in hand. By the time they rolled into Hot Rod HQ, the vehicle sold for a little over $500.
The video is part of a new series called Roadkill that should document similar adventures. Keep your eyes peeled for more calamity-soaked clips in the near future. In the meantime, hit the jump to check it out yourself.
GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll
Tue, 25 Feb 2014
588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.
