1969 GTO Judge.  Carousel Red, Rear Spoiler, Hideaway Headlights, Rally II rims with beauty rings (I put them on because I liked the look),  non-operating but original hood tach, original ram air intake, original carpet, original seats, original headliner, original counsel, original dash, etc.   The deal includes a set of Road Hugger G70-14 Belted  tires that were put on the car in the early 70's.  I took this set off when I put radials on it about 5 years ago.  Other than being repainted the correct color sometime in the 80's this car is virtually the same way it came from the factory.  There are flaws in the paint job.  Looks great from five feet away but will need to be repainted if you are perfectionist.   There is one small slit in the dash, 1 small L shaped tear in the headliner,  the seats show a little wear on the drivers side, and there is a 8 inch long crease in the left front quarter panel that I put on the car during the Hurricane Season of 2004.   This car was purchased new at Taber Pontiac in Atlanta, Georgia and comes with the original dealer delivery documentation paperwork.  The car has always been a Georgia or Florida car and has never been on the market.  I am the third owner and purchased the car 15 years ago.  The previous two owners each kept the car about 15 years and sold it by word of mouth to acquaintances.  This a survivor type car that runs and drives excellent.

2008-2009 Pontiac G8 recalled over airbag concern

Mon, 07 Nov 2011

General Motors is recalling around 38,000 Pontiac G8 sedans from its 2008 and 2009 model years. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that the cars may have a passenger-side airbag flaw that might prevent proper deployment in certain scenarios.
According to NHTSA, the airbag might not adequately protect a fifth percentile woman - that is, a woman around four-foot, 11-inches weighing 108 pounds. The New York Times indicates that the anomaly was found during a crash test conducted by GM's Australian branch, Holden, which was testing the G8's twin (read: Commodore) for head injuries. According to that report, the test in question is specifically tailored to simulate injuries to females, so the results do not apply to men or children.
The issue has been blamed on a seat position sensor that governs airbag deployment rates. NHTSA indicates that when the front passenger seat is moved all the way forward, the faulty sensor may inappropriately trigger a 30-millisecond delay between airbag stages, potentially leading to greater injuries.

Wanted: 1967 Pontiac GTO for a special Father's Day

Thu, 07 Jun 2012

Jim Sharp of Elkhorn, Wisconsin needs a red 1967 Pontiac GTO to make his dad's Father's Day, possibly his last one, something extra special.
Back in the '60s, Jim's dad, Ken, drove a cherry red 1967 GTO to California for a job. He met a girl, got married and decided his wife's 1965 Ford Mustang was more fuel efficient than the Goat and the GTO was sold. As the story almost always goes, Ken has had seller's regret ever since.
Jim always meant to find a 1967 GTO and, with his dad's help, restore it. But life got in the way, time slipped by and Ken was recently diagnosed with esophageal cancer and given about three months to live.

Howard Stern latest in Seinfeld's passenger seat for CiCGC

Thu, 06 Feb 2014

We'll be honest: the actual cars in Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet series, Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee, typically take a back seat to the celebrities in the front row. Seinfeld usually throws in a few lines about his classic wheels in the first minute or so, and then moves on to the important business of sprightly conversation and pithy one-liners. It's great.
This time around, with legendary motormouth Howard Stern riding shotgun, the 1969 Pontiac GTO Judge that might have been a co-star, gets forgotten about almost completely. Instead, Stern spends a tremendous amount of screen time extolling the virtues of his therapy sessions, attempts to dive into Seinfeld's prowess as a lover and generally makes a nuisance of himself. Pretty much to plan, then.
Scroll below to hear Howard accuse Jerry of acting like Jesus, just before declaring himself the greatest radio personality in the history of the business.
