1965 Pontiac Le Mans Gto on 2040-cars
New Hudson, Michigan, United States
|
Up For auction is a BEAUTIFUL 1965 Pontiac Le Mans 2 door hardtop coupe GTO tribute car. I don't know where to start with this one. This car is 100% rust free and has original steel throughout! The body is painted in a very sharp deep metallic blue paired with the original interior! The seats have been taken car of very well and were recently dyed. The door panels are new as well as the head liner. The body on this amazing gto recreation is laser straight and free from defects. All the chrome and bright work looks great (especially around those beautiful stacked head lights). The body lines all match up perfectly, and the gaps are nice and even throughout the car. This vehicle was originally sold in North Carolina, and it remained in the south for the vast majority of its life where is pampered to the extreme. Beautiful new set of tires and wheels to compliment the look of the vehicle. The motor is a VERY healthy Pontiac 455 bored .030 over with a mild cam backed by a freshly built turbo 400 auto and 3.73 gear in the rear. Don't be fooled by its size or the quiet rumble from the brand new dual exhaust, this car is quick! All the glass is in perfect condition, all lights, wipers, signals, horn, and other electronics and mechanical items function as should. There are only about 2000 miles on this car since its body off complete restoration. The beauty doesn't stop with the body or interior, the engine bay and trunk are in as good of shape as a brand new car!!! If that's not enough for you, the quality continues to the under body. Its SPOTLESS, you could flip her around and eat off the under side of this car. This is a great example of what a true restoration looks like. No corners cut. Even has the spare tire and jack in the trunk! This vehicle comes with its original window sticker, bill of sale, protect o plate, original 1965 protection plan book, original registration.... it is a complete package for any automotive enthusiast. Driveability? Its amazing! With power disc brakes up front, fresh drums in the rear, and power steering...This is the perfect ride to take the family on a cruise in, trip to the local show, grocery store on sunday, or town dairy queen...Sure to turn heads every time you pull it out. This car NEEDS NOTHING. Just a good home and great owner to enjoy and continue to pamper. If your in the market for a GTO or Le Mans, this is truly a great car to consider. Keep in mind while bidding, although this may be a GTO tribute, it sure plays the part of a true GTO, has all the looks and styling but wont cost you the $50,000+ that a gto in this condition would command. Im sure I am leaving something out, so be sure to visit this page on a mac or pc and view the 100+ photos displaying every inch of the car. SERIOUS bidders only!!! Junkyard Gem: 2010 Pontiac G6
Sat, Sep 12 2020What makes a discarded car a gem? Sometimes it's a car we all agree is very cool, and other times it's a car that tells us something about automotive history. Today's Junkyard Gem is the latter type: one of the very last Pontiacs sold, before The General shut out the lights forever on the storied marque after 84 years. The G6 was Pontiac's Epsilon-platform-based car, sibling to the Chevy Malibu, Saturn Aura, and Saab 9-3 (plus a bunch of Europe-only machinery). The very last Pontiac ever built was a white 2010 G6 sedan like this one (all '10 G6s were sedans, the coupe and convertible having been nixed in 2009), though that car was built in January of 2010 and this one came off the line in July of 2009. They build Bolts at the Orion Assembly plant these days. The higher-zoot G6s came with V6s or even V8s, but this car has "fleet machine" written all over it and has the base 2.4-liter Ecotec four-banger making 164 horsepower. Pontiac shoppers in the United States could buy the Vibe as a 2010 model as well, while Mexican Pontiac dealerships also sold new G2s (known as the Spark here) that year. The G6 was The Final Pontiac, though, bookending a run that began with the 1926 Pontiac Six. This one will go to its grave with the original owner's manual still inside. Even the cheapest 2010 G6s came with an AUX jack for the radio, a feature that was still maddeningly hard to find in rental cars a decade ago. This content is hosted by a third party. No donation or payment necessary to enter or win this sweepstakes. See official rules on Omaze. Normally when we write about Omaze sweepstakes, they involve a car that you'd never go out and buy on your own. A six-figure camper van build, a $300,000 Ford Bronco restoration, a Land Rover Defender that's so beautiful it should be in a museum. Today's prize might beat out all of those, because not only could you win a dream car, you'll be entered for a chance to win $100k cash to go along with it. There are a lot of cars you can buy with $100k. You could buy a Land Cruiser Heritage Edition or a Mustang GT500 or 6 Chevy Sparks and start your own racing series. Personally, if I won that kind of dough, assuming I also won this Bentley Bentayga, my favorite of Omaze's current offerings, I'd probably use some of it to buy something quirky, like a Honda Element converted into a pop-top camper, or a restored/upgraded 60 series Land Cruiser. Think that's a terrible way to spend the cash? That's the beauty of it. It is completely up to you. No one can tell you what to do with it. Except maybe your spouse. Here are our favorite vehicle giveaways we’ve found online this week: 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT Performance Edition - Enter at Omaze Regardless of what you think about Ford using the name Mustang for an electric crossover, one thing is for certain, the Mustang Mach-E GT is an impressive piece of machinery. Here are the specs of the Mach-E in question, according to Omaze: Maximum Seating: 5 Engine: fully electric motors Drivetrain: eAWD Exterior Color: Rapid Red Metallic  Interior Color: Black Maximum Horsepower: 480 hp Maximum Torque: 634 lb-ft Acceleration: 0-60 in 3.5 seconds Range: 235 miles Approximate Retail Value: $75,500 Cash Alt: $56,625 Special Features: GT Performance Edition; panoramic fixed-glass roof; Ford Co-Pilot360™ Active 2.0 and 360-degree camera; Brembo brakes; RTR Design Package including 20” RTR Aero 5 wheels, Nitto NT555 G2 tires and RTR Speed Block graphics Win a Restored 1969 Pontiac GTO - Enter at Omaze Joel Stocksdale, News Editor: There are an awful lot of ways to build a restomod.
There's a 'Knight Rider' movie in development
Mon, Aug 17 2020James Wan, who has directed films from the first "Saw" to "Aquaman," with "Furious 7" in between, and produced even more projects, is producing a new Knight Rider movie according to a report in Deadline. Just in case there's a reader who doesn't know, Knight Rider was one of the seminal trio of iconic-car shows from the 1980s, along with "The Dukes of Hazzard" and "Miami Vice." The series lasted 90 episodes that ran from 1982 to 1986, following the crime-fighting exploits of Michael Knight, a man who crusaded for justice after being shot in the face. Billionaire Walton Knight hired Michael to work with the Knight Foundation, where Michael helps develop the Knight Industries Two Thousand, a Pontiac Trans-Am with AI that can talk, drive more than 200 miles per hour, and could teach MI6's Q Branch about gadgetry. Collider described David Hasselhof's Michael Knight as "crimefighter by trade and wearing-a-leather-jacket-with-no-shirt-underneath innovator by hobby." The show made such an impression that there was a series spinoff called "Code of Justice," two TV movies in 1991 and 1994, a convention called KnightCon, and a series reboot on NBC that lasted for one season from 2008 to 2009, as well as stores full of action figures and models and literature, YouTube fan-made trailers and movies, and this wacky German-dubbed short "Knight Rider" film starring Hasselhoff. We don't know anything about the new movie's plot yet, other than that it's set in the present. T.J. Fixman, better known for now as a video game writer who worked on franchises like "Ratchet and Clank" and "Resistance: Fall of Man," has been attached to write, with a mandate to keep "the anti-establishment tone of the original." With matters still early in development there's no telling when the movie will hit theaters, and Wan's probably got his hands busy with the new MacGuyver reboot for CBS, anyway. Now that there's already been a Knight Industries 2000 and 3000, that gives us plenty of time to imagine — in a world where 200-mph hypercars powered by everything sprout like weeds and even Cannonballers are using military-like equipment — what would a Knight Industries Four Thousand possess? And would it be called KIFT? Related Video: This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings.
