Thanks for looking at my auction. This is a 1995 Pontiac Trans Sport SE 3.1 L Automatic with 165000 miles. I have upgraded the stereo to a Sony Internet ready (SiriusXM and Pandora) It has a pre out and aux input. Also has USB port. Speakers are good. It has small imperfections but much work has been done lately. Air Cleaner, Plugs Points, Radiator fan, fuel pump, A/C to 134A. Tires are OK. You will need two summer tires for the front. Two spots on the massive windshield should be repairable if you have glass coverage. There are gravel spots on the hood and scratches on the body. No visible rust and no dents. Engine is strong and I have done regular maintenance. Seats are clean and all but the front are removable. A reflector on the back bumper is cracked. All lights and wipers work. It is not power lock, not power windows.

From the internet:

Overall review: This vehicle can be used for so many different uses. Haul things, people, animals. It is great on the highway as well as in town. Good gas milage, Looks good and runs great. Thank You!

Pros: It is so versatile

Cons: It doesn't clean it self.

The wife added:

The seats are easy to remove and install. I usually have two in the garage to save on weight.  The can be arranged to suit you.  Here is my preferred version.
                                       D   P

                                       X   X

                                   cargo

D   P

X    X

is also nice.

A Tom Tom device comes with the purchase.  More pictures are available.   Recently we had the transmission serviced which included the transmission mounts.  There also a second 12V outlet in the left back.

I told her to tell you there is a custom Dashmat that goes with the car. The dash, however does not have ANY cracks. The dash mat keeps the inside of the windows cleaner because the vinyl in the dash does not create a gas that then deposits itself on the glass.

Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am

Wed, 15 May 2013

When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.

eBay Find of the Day: 1967 Pontiac GTO Monkeemobile

Sun, 29 Apr 2012

Say what you will about The Monkees, but the guys in the band had great taste in automobiles. Take the Monkeemobile, for example. Built off a 1967 Pontiac GTO Convertible, the custom featured genuinely interesting bodywork and some wild engine bolt-ons. If you're a fan of 1960s pop and yearn to relive the genre's glory days, eBay Motors may have what you need. A recreation of the 1967 Monkeemobile has showed up for auction. This particular replica was built by Dakota County Customs using an four-speed GTO, just like the original.
Built for the band's 45th anniversary and the final Monkees tour last year, this Monkeemobile is faithful down to every last detail. Unfortunately, the trumpet exhaust poking out of the front fender wells and the massive gold-flake blower are for show only. Seems fitting.
If you like what you see, this machine is up for bid in Richfield, Minnesota with two days left on the auctions. So far, bidding as whipped up to $60,000 with the reserve not met. Head over to eBay Motors to have a look.

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero

Fri, 26 Oct 2012

At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
