I am selling this car for Mr. Chris Holmes. I have a signed pink slip from the State of Arizona. This car has never been registered in California and is doubtful that it will pass smog/emissions in its current state. There is no warranty, and the car will be sold as is and will not be pieced out by me.

As you can see by the photographs, this car is in need of restoration. It does start and can be driven, although I would not attempt to drive it any distance in its current condition. I do not know the size of the engine, but was told it is a small block Chevy. You would have to examine it further to verify. The frame is straight, no collisions are in record. The body has some dents and is in dire need of paint. The interior is in need of complete restoration. The car starts by turning on an electric fuel pump, then a switch starts the engine. It does sound pretty badass once it starts! There is a trunk key, but I do not believe there is a lock. The hood has to be propped up.

Obviously this car needs a bumper to bumper face lift. I am selling it for Chris, as he is now touring with a group in Europe. This is his asking price. Chris kept this car running piecemeal for many years. He said the engine is high-performance, but the potential buyer will have to examine it.

I have seen cars in worse condition turn out to be real showpieces. With some TLC, this car would finish out real nice. Chris even signed the hood for posterity!

Please email me with any questions,  I will try to answer as best as I can, but I am not an expert on cars

God Bless our Military and God Bless America.

Thank you!

GM expands ignition switch recall to over 1.3 million cars amid climbing death toll

Tue, 25 Feb 2014

588,000 Saturn Sky, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice and Chevy HHR models join the 778,000 cars already being recalled.
General Motors has announced a massive expansion of a 778,000-unit recall we told you about two weeks ago, doubling not only the total number of cars affected but expanding the recall beyond Chevrolet Cobalt and Pontiac G5 models previously mentioned. The recall originally centered around ignition switches that could slip out of the "run" position if jostled or if any weight was applied to the key in the cylinder.

Aficionauto sits down with The Hoff and KITT

Fri, 10 Oct 2014

The latest video from The Aficionauto is the perfect palate cleanser for Knight Rider fans after finding out that Justin Bieber is the voice of KITT in an upcoming film. Host Christopher Rutkowski says that the Knight Industries Two Thousand is one of the most requested vehicles to appear on the series and for good reason - Michael Knight's Pontiac Trans-Am is among the most famous cars to ever appear on television.
While the video isn't able to showcase one of the original KITTs from the series, it does get star David Hasselhoff to drive his personal replica and talk about the lasting legacy of the show. The highlight here might be seeing The Hoff back behind the wheel in the open desert basically recreating Knight Rider's opening sequence.
With all of its flashing lights and gizmos, you can probably make the argument that KITT is pretty cheesy, and the show itself was never exactly a pillar of high-quality drama on television. Despite that, the series still provides a ton of good-natured fun, and The Hoff's continued enthusiasm for it is pretty infectious. Check out The Aficionauto video to take another ride with Knight Rider.

1939 Pontiac Ghost Car commands $308,000 at auction

Mon, 01 Aug 2011

For the 1939 World's Fair, Pontiac built a Deluxe Six bodied in Plexiglass. Part of the Previews of Progress pavilion in which General Motors' Futurama showed off what was to come in the world of autos, the 'invisible' Pontiac is credited as the first transparent car in America. And there were no shortcuts taken with its body: the Plexiglass form was fabricated by the company that brought the material to market in 1933, Rohm & Haas.
The see-through sedan was sold at RM Auctions' St. John's auction in Michigan on July 30, fetching $308,000. Not bad appreciation for a domestic oddity that cost $25,000 to build when new. You can check out the high-res gallery of its innards, including copper and chrome metalwork and white moldings and wheels, and get the exhaustive details on it after the jump.
