WOW! 45k miles!!!! This car is a true classic. The Pontiac Fiero has a very dedicated following and I personally know how rare it is to find one in such good condition. This is my 6th Fiero and by far in the best original condition Ive seen in years. You will be very pleased to know this car has NO rust! Check out the pictures! No "trunk rust", no battery box rust, no rust on the bottoms of the doors... this car has been garaged all of its life and it shows. The red paint shines good with little to no fading as found on a majority of 80's GM vehicles including the Fieros! Your getting exactly what you see, a great Fiero. Check out that interior, do you see any rips or tears in the seats? NO, becauase the interior is almost flawless. These cars are what the automotive community would call rare. Not rare by true production numbers but rare to be found in good condition. I am including the origonal window sticker and bill of sale along with other factory documents! The added litatue after 27 years is also in good condition and suitable to make a copy of and frame at car shows if your interested in showing it. I have shown previous Fieros and they always get a lot of looks and alot of compliments! Numorous awards were won with a Fiero that wasnt even as nice as this one. No its not a hot rod but this is a car you could jump in any nice day of the week and just go for a cruise and enjoy it. The car is very well equiped with automatic trans, cruise, power locks, power windows, A/C and factory sunroof (doesnt leak). Both headlights motors work great!!! The tires are in very good shape, car does not overheat or idle high and starts with one turn of the key. Recently had a tune up so shes ready for spring! The spots that are seen on the roadway in the pictures are not from this car by the way! Here is what I will call the minior blemishes on the car... power locks and windows are a little slow (as expected) but work!, there is a couple very minor chips in the paint (just being honest), the starter does at times make a little noise, brakes are a tad soft but I think thats just from sitting. I encourage you to come and take a look at this beauty before bidding, not required but suggested. This is exactly what a true Fiero enthosiest is looking for so bid now and dont let this rare find get away. Car is sold as-is in Newark, OH and I will be requiring a non refundable downpayment of $100.00 paid within 48 hours of auction close. Car must be picked up in Newark, OH with in 14 days of auction end. After 14 days if no prior arrangements have been made, your $100 downpayment is mine and ebay is notified so I can recoupe my listing fees. Car mileage will go up a little as this car is for sale locally. Balance due in cash only, no checks period! Good luck and email me with any questions or request for more pictures!
On Feb-11-13 at 17:04:37 PST, seller added the following information:
I drove this car 100 miles today and it checked out excellent, the gas gauge did fluctuate a little bit as they commonly do but it is accurate. Runs, drives and handled good at all speeds. Drove it at 70 mph and no shakes or odd noise from any of the suspension.

CNN chronicles young girl building Pontiac Fiero
Fri, 26 Oct 2012At fourteen years of age, Kathryn DiMaria has already done what many self-proclaimed gearheads won't even attempt in their lifetimes. The Dearborn, Michigan teen is rebuilding a car from the ground up.
The intrepid youngster asked her parents when she was just twelve to start a Pontiac Fiero project, even offering to pony up all the funds herself. Father, Jerry DiMaria only expected the project to last a few months, but two years later, Kathryn is still at it. In this CNN video, the two are at Maker Faire (a DIY festival) rebuilding a 3.4-liter V6 engine out of a Chevrolet Camaro to replace the 2.8-liter mill found in the Fiero.
The whole family hast pitched in, with Kathryn's mother teaching her how to sew in order to complete the interior, father Jerry providing much of the technical know-how, and even her sister is chronicling Kathryn's progress through photos. Jerry even started a thread in a Fiero forum which has been live for two years and is now 22 pages long. Of the project, one forum member wrote, "welcome to the madness."
Watch this garbage truck consume a Pontiac Grand Am
Wed, 15 May 2013When an old car or truck offers its dying breath in your driveway and you just don't have the financial or mechanical wherewithal to resuscitate it yet again, you traditionally have to go to the trouble of calling a flatbed or a tow truck to come haul it away. That usually helps to put a few bucks in your wallet and helps recycle some of the vehicle's parts, but the transaction doesn't seem as final or perversely satisfying as the dispatch service that this New Way Cobra Magnum garbage truck offers.
Okay, okay, so this refuse hauler isn't actually designed for this sort of thing, but it's oddly comforting to know that a sanitation truck can compact a hapless Pontiac Grand Am into oblivion. Next time, we won't feel so guilty about slipping that rusty charcoal grille onto the curb next to the cans on garbage day. Watch the carnage by scrolling below.
Pontiac could be a phoenix rising from the ashes
Tue, Apr 18 2017Of the deceased American car companies from the past 50 years such as Hummer, Mercury, Oldsmobile, Plymouth and Saturn, I believe the most worthy resurrection would be Pontiac. After all, it's no longer politically correct to drive an ex-military vehicle with single-digit gas mileage, nor do Millennials and Gen-Xers desire AARP-associated nameplates such as Mercury or Oldsmobile. Pontiac was originally founded in 1893 by Albert G. North and Harry G. Hamilton as the Pontiac Buggy Company, due to their location in Pontiac, Michigan. But as the early 1900s automotive revolution took off, they shifted their focus from horse-drawn carriages to motorized transportation. Taking a cue from Oakland County where they were based, they rebranded their organization as the Oakland Motor Company. Within a couple years, sales of Oakland cars were so good that it caught the attention of General Motors and they bought the company. In 1926, GM premiered the first Pontiac and its name drew inspiration from the legendary Native American War Chief, who was famous for the Battle of Bloody Run and opposition of British forces. His likeness was used in early promotional materials as well as the vehicle's emblem which was referred to simply as the "Indian Head". In 1956, the outdated emblem was replaced with a new, sleeker logo that resembled a red arrow head. It was known as "The Dart" and featured a singular star in the center which may have been a nod to Pontiac's successful Star Chief model. The 1960s saw the introduction of several popular models such as the GTO and the Firebird. The GTO was initially offered as an option package on the 1964 Tempest, and the name was the brainchild of John Delorean, who would later go on to form his own eponymous automobile company. The Firebird debuted in 1967 as a pony-car foil to Ford's award-winning Mustang. Although mechanically similar to Chevrolet's Camaro, the Firebird boasted a distinct sheetmetal nose and tail to help visually distinguish it. The 1980s were another adventurous time for Pontiac, and GM took advantage of the sales momentum by running a successful ad campaign. It proclaimed "We Build Excitement" and highlighted an arrangement with musicians Daryl Hall and John Oats. The fiery Fiero was a home-run for Pontiac and it was introduced in 1983 as an '84 model. Not only was it the first U.S. produced mid-engine sports coupe, but it also utilized lightweight, dent-resistant body panels.
