Selling a Very Rare Pontiac Bonneville. One of Ten made, And according to the Pontiac Association of America - One of Seven known to be in existence still!

This car has been an Island car out on Lopez Island in the Pacific NW (Hence the low miles)
It belonged to a family friend who was told it could have been an ex-military vehicle.

The limo is in all original condition, and has been actively operated for the last few years

79xxx miles on the gauge cluster which is believed to be all-original miles

The interior is in great shape with minor wear on the drivers seat, but overall very good for a nearly 50 year old car!

Everything works but the horn (heater blower fan is a little squeaky at times)

This is a non-AC car

Does have power steering

Original radio still works great

New set of Tires all around

Original engine and Automatic transmission run great! Fires up fine on cold start and cruises down the highway going 60!

Exterior appears to be repainted at some point (the top is not vinyl, just painted black)

There are a few rust bubbles here and there but noting too bad on the body (included pics)

There is one small part of the trunk which is rusted through

I tried to take as many pictures of the Limo as possible, please let me know if you need anymore

I have received many different estimates on what this vehicle is worth, but I have decided to put the Auction at No RESERVE!

Don't miss out on your chance to bid! This may be the only time you can own one of these awesome Limos! (gets attention everywhere!)

This Auto Aerobics car art ties our brains in knots like pretzels

Sat, 14 Dec 2013

We like cars, and we like art. Naturally, Chris Labrooy's Auto Aerobics series - computer-generated images of some seriously contorted 1968 Pontiac Bonnevilles floating in mid-air - instantly clicked with us. If the Pontiacs weren't floating or hollow, we could be fooled into believing the image is real. But where's the fun in that?
Check out the gallery we included of Labrooy's Bonneville art, and feel free too head over to his website for some Formula One humor.

GM repairing 40,500 Pontiac Vibes as part of Toyota airbag recall

Wed, 09 Apr 2014

General Motors has confirmed to Autoblog that the Pontiac Vibe is included in Toyota's just-announced recall action. The Vibe and the Toyota Matrix share a large number of parts, including the affected cable to the airbag.
"About 40,500 Pontiac Vibes from the 2009-2010 model years are included in the Toyota recall. Toyota designed and engineered the Vibe for Pontiac. GM will service customers with these vehicles when Toyota makes the parts available," said GM recall spokesperson Alan Adler to Autoblog in an email.
The recall covers 1.3 million Toyota units in the US, including 2009-2010 Corolla, Matrix and Tacoma, the 2008-2010 Highlander, the 2006-2008 Rav4 and 2006-2010 Yaris, plus the addition of the 2009-2010 Vibe. The models all have their airbag module attached via a spiral electrical cable. The connections on this cable can be damaged when turning the steering wheel. Once broken, the airbag deactivates and the airbag warning light comes on. Toyota has an improved part, but it's still making preparations to begin repairs. It will begin notifying owners soon.

Lutz says Washington killed Pontiac, next G6 was to be ATS derivative

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

How many people think Buick or GMC should have gotten the axe instead of Pontiac? You can't see it, but I'm raising my hand. Autoweek reports that former Vice Chairman of GM, Bob Lutz, has indicated that things didn't have to end up the way they did.
"The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.'"
In a talk given at the Petersen Automotive Museum for the Inside the MotoMan Studio series, Lutz says "The Feds said, 'Yeah, how much money have you made on Pontiac in the last 10 years?' and the answer was, 'Nothing.' So, it goes. And when the guy who is handing you the check for $53 billion says, 'I don't want Pontiac, drop Pontiac or you don't get the money,' it doesn't take you very long to make up your mind." Lutz even added that the next-generation Pontiac G6 would have benefitted from the rear-wheel-drive platform of the Cadillac ATS. How awesome would that have been?
