Great looking and running classic C body Chrysler muscle car loaded with options...power windows, steering, and brakes, cold A/C, rear defrost, fender skirts, day night mirror, buckets, console, floor shift, automatic transmission, 383 engine equipped with 2bbl carb. drives straight and runs smooth, gets great fuel economy, burns no oil, starts everytime no issues.  Purchased from Orlando, FL extremely clean vehicle some minor rust just starting (I've done my best to show it in the pics) we've kept in in our garage since we've owned it. We've owned the vehicle and it has never given us any issues, we've completed maintanence, such as oil changes, chassis lube, brake inspections and lube, PA state inspection, major repairs included the replacement of all four window lift motors, heater switch, and small lights.  There is some small surface rust that has been touched up however finding touch up paint to match is a chore due to the age of the vehicle.  from 20 feet you can't see it however up close it is noticible.  I've taken pictures of the two areas where there are issues  The drivers side lower rear quarter behind the finder skirt and on the C pillar of the roof line it is starting to blister...this is a common problem for C bodies however this is a minor issue on this car and can be touched up with ease if you're knwledgable or let it go and enjoy cruising to your favorite car show or cruise in.  This is an excellent drive and has many years of life left in her!  Elegant, sylish, yet she'll cruise down the boulevard with the best of them!  If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.  Thanks and happy bidding!

Barrett-Jackson 2014: 1970 Plymouth Hemi Superbird passes half a million dollars

Sat, 18 Jan 2014

The Plymouth Superbird is one of those classic American cars from the muscle car era that has captured the imagination of all sorts of automotive enthusiasts long after its presence on roads and race tracks wore away. It's easy to see why. Where else but in the Swingin' Sixties and Seventies would a car leave the factory with an aerodynamics package that included a pointy beak and a rear spoiler that sat several feet above the rear deck?
The example you see above, which was born in 1970, is one of the finest Superbirds we've ever seen. Combine its complete restoration with its original 426 Hemi engine, and it's no surprise that it managed to bring in a cool half million dollars (plus 10 percent in fees) at Barrett-Jackson. See it yourself in our high-res image gallery above, and scroll down below for the official auction description.

SRT belatedly claims Plymouth Prowler as one of its own

Wed, 19 Dec 2012

Before Chrysler had Street and Racing Technology, it had Performance Vehicle Operations. What the two entities have in common, before SRT became its own brand, of course, is that each was created to take Chrysler and Dodge (and Plymouth, before it was unceremoniously killed off) vehicles to the next level of style and performance.
We'll leave the question of whether or not the old Plymouth (and later Chrysler) Prowler was ultimately a stylish, performance-oriented car to you, but the boys and girls currently leading the SRT charge at the Pentastar headquarters are keen to accept the retro-rod into the fold.
According to the automaker, all of SRT's current high-performance models owe a debt of gratitude to the old Prowler, due mostly to that car's use of lightweight bits and pieces and innovative construction techniques. If nothing else, the fact that the Prowler's frame is "the largest machined automotive part in history" is pretty cool. Read all the details here.

'Blood Muscle' auction to sell impressive collection of ill-begotten classic cars

Wed, 30 Jul 2014

The old saying goes that if you can't do the time, don't do the crime. But being a criminal can involve more than just taking a trip to the big house; it can also mean losing possessions purchased from any ill-gotten gains. Still, one man's loss is another's gain, and if you're in Lodi, NJ, on September 12, you stand the chance to buy some of the ultimate muscle cars from the US Marshals in what is being gruesomely nicknamed the Blood Muscle auction.
The grisly moniker was earned because all of the vehicles belonged to the president of a blood testing company who is facing prison time for alleged bribery, according to Hemmings. After all, they are muscle cars bought with actual blood money. The seven-vehicle collection includes some of the ultimate muscle cars ever made, and the original buyer clearly had an eye for rarity.
This cornucopia of V8 power includes a teal 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 429, a 1967 Shelby GT500 Mustang, an orange 1970 Plymouth Superbird, a 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS convertible and perhaps most prized of all - a trio of 1969 Yenko Chevys with a Chevelle, Nova and Camaro all represented. From the included photos, all of them look to be in fantastic condition.
