1995 Nissan King Cab Pickup 4x4 XE-V6

1995 Nissan D21 Hardbody King Cab 4wd pickup. Options are- V6 motor, Automatic Transmission, 4wd, Cruise Control, Tilt Steering Wheel, Cold Air Conditioning, Power Steering, Power Brakes & Sliding Rear Window. Good original truck with really low miles for one of these. All original owner manuals are still with the truck. I purchased this truck with the intentions of putting my, soon to be, 16 year old daughter in it for her first vehicle. She wants a Jeep Wrangler though so I’m listing this truck & will start searching for a Jeep. I bought this truck from a close friend of mine. He had owned it since 2002 & it had 32k miles on it when he bought it from his father in law. His father in law had purchased the truck in 1997 from a Nissan dealer with 25k miles on it. Both of them lived in Nashville & the truck has zero rust in it. I’ve spent some money on the truck & I’ll list what all I have done to it since I bought it. Truck is titled to me & has a clean title history. Feel free to ask any questions. Reserve is set lower than what I've seen some 200k mile trucks sell for. Not a must sell. If it does not meet the reserve I'll keep it.

Exterior-

Original white paint in great shape. Has a couple small nicks & chips that have been touched up but excellent for a 19 year old pickup. Has a small dent in the driver side, extra cab portion, where my friend backed into his trailer. I tried to photograph the dent but unable to pick it up. All glass is original & in excellent shape. Nissan Bed Liner that is in great shape. Had the original decals down the side & I removed them. I do have the original Nissan mudflaps that I removed.

Interior-

Original blue cloth interior in great shape. Dash pad is perfect & carpet shows very little wear. Jump seats in King Cab are in perfect working order & both have seatbelts. Headliner is great shape. Has an aftermarket CD player that still works great. Interior is as close to new as you will find & is all original.

Drivetrain-

V6 motor runs great & pulls strong. Automatic Transmission shifts out fine & 4wd works great in all ranges. Cruise Control works fine, Air Conditioning is ice cold & Heat is hot. Auto locking hubs for 4wd. Aftermarket 16x8 wheels with matching set of Goodyear tires that have half tread left. I have a set of O.E.M. wheels that have bad tires. They are included in the sale (see pictures with stock wheels). Original spare tire & jack have never been used. Parts I have replaced within the last month, which I have all receipts for-

New Parts-

New Timing Belt

Complete Tune up (Wires, Plugs, Cap & Rotor Button)

New Fuel Filter

New Water Pump

Oil/Filter change

New Brake Rotors & Pads (front)

New Muffler & Tailpipe.

Other- Truck is a great solid running, driving truck that I would trust to go anywhere. Not sure what the fuel mileage rating on these was, and I have not checked it, but the truck gets really good gas mileage. It surprised me. Hardbody trucks are getting hard to find & when you do they usually have 200k plus on them.

Known Problems-

None known. Truck has the original shocks on it, so I guess it could stand to have a set of shocks put on it. No other issues known. Everything works as it should.

TERMS OF SALE-

Truck is 19 years old & is being sold AS IS WHERE IS with NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED or IMPLIED. Winning bidder responsible for any/all future repairs the vehicle may need and any/all costs for such repairs. Winning bidder also responsible for any safety/emission test his/her state, county or city may require & any/all costs incurred in order for the vehicle to pass such tests. Clean & clear TN title will be passed on to the winning bidder. Please INSPECT IN PERSON or have vehicle inspected prior to bidding. $500 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT due within 3 days of auction close & balance is due within 10 days of auction close. I prefer the car be picked up within 10 days of auction close but will allow longer if needed. CASH IN PERSON or WIRE TRANSFER are the only methods of payment accepted. Nissan happy with plug-in vehicles for now, will wait on hydrogen

Sun, Nov 30 2014

Anyone who's driven the Nissan Leaf knows that it won't set any land speed records. Still, ask Nissan Vice Chairman Toshiyuki Shiga, and the battery-electric vehicle will be miles ahead of any hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles for the foreseeable future in Nissan's advanced-powertrain plans. Figuratively, of course. Shiga, speaking in Singapore, elaborated on Nissan's interest in developing a production hydrogen fuel-cell vehicle, and, to put it bluntly, he said the company didn't have much interest, the Japan Times reports. Sure, Nissan reached an agreement with Mercedes-Benz parent Daimler and Ford early last year to work together to speed up fuel-cell-vehicle powertrain development. Like Toyota, Honda and Hyundai, the automakers appear to be following the axiom that hydrogen fuel-cell technology is the best-of-all-worlds option for advanced powertrain because of the combination of zero emissions and conventional-vehicle-like full-tank range. Still, the prohibitively high cost of building hydrogen refueling stations will prevent any substantial adoption anytime soon, Shiga says, hence Nissan's focus on battery-electric vehicles. Nissan sells the all-electric Leaf in about 40 countries, and the model is the best-selling battery-electric vehicle in the world. In the US, Nissan sold 24,411 Leaf vehicles through October, up 35 percent from a year earlier.

Recharge Wrap-up: Renault-Nissan at COP21, fast charging viability

Tue, Dec 15 2015

Nissan and Renault's combined fleet of 200 EVs drove over 175,000 kilometers (about 108,700 miles) during the COP21 environmental summit in Paris. The largest fleet of EVs for any international conference served as shuttles for attendees, saving almost 182 barrels of oil and 18 tons of CO2 emissions. In addition to providing the Nissan Leaf, Nissan e-NV200, and Renault Zoe EV shuttles, the Renault-Nissan Alliance also set up a network of 90 chargers to support the fleet. 13 of the 27 quick and semi-quick chargers will remain in place for public use. The company will implement new and upgrade existing traffic technologies in the city, including cloud-based traffic management software, local controller software and an adaptive traffic control system designed to improve traffic flow and safety. In a college town with highly varying numbers of students and visitors throughout the year, "the need to move traffic in and out of the city efficiently is crucial not only for economic and environmental impacts, but for quality of life for Ann Arbor residents," says Marcus Welz, president of Siemens Intelligent Traffic Systems. Many Ann Arborites (your author included) would surely agree. The researchers found parking spots to be the most popular public charging locations, and that fast chargers saw the most frequent use, suggesting commercial viability for the infrastructure in the short- to medium-term. The study also found that most drivers prefer to charge at home, and do so during peak hours. Incentivization could be necessary to break people from this habit. Read more at Green Car Congress.

Nissan and Renault shelve merger plans, will repair their alliance

Tue, May 26 2020

Renault and Nissan have shelved plans to push towards the full merger former leader Carlos Ghosn craved and will instead fix their troubled alliance to try to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, five senior sources told Reuters. Nissan has long resisted Renault's proposals for a full-blown merger as executives felt the French carmaker was not paying its fair share for the engineering work it did in Japan, sowing discord that some feared could wreck the partnership. Now, with carmakers around the world reeling from the pandemic, the partners are planning to overhaul an alliance that largely failed to convert its global scale into a competitive advantage beyond the joint procurement of parts. Both struggling carmakers are set to announce mid-term restructuring plans this week that will serve as a peace treaty designed to resolve the long-standing tensions, five people familiar with the overhaul told Reuters. "After the rain, the earth hardens," said one senior Nissan source, citing a popular Japanese proverb that means relationships become stronger after a period of strife. All five sources within the alliance, which also includes Mitsubishi, declined to be named because they are not authorized to speak with media. Nissan and Renault are each planning substantial restructuring and cost cuts that could affect tens of thousands of jobs, with the Japanese company to announce its measures on May 28 and its French partner likely to follow the next day. Before that, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Renault are holding a joint news conference on May 27 during which they are expected to outline the philosophy behind their new "leader-follower" approach to the alliance. The sources said the companies were unlikely to disclose many details at the events this week of how the new approach will be used to share costs as the companies were still working on specific projects. However, the crisis at both carmakers has accelerated efforts to resolve the disagreements that have stymied collaboration and cost-sharing in technology and product development for five years, the sources said. Mitsubishi, Nissan and Renault all declined to comment officially about alliance plans. 'Leader-follower' The alliance has steadily ramped up output over the years, delivering over 10 million vehicles for the first time in 2017, the first full year after Mitsubishi joined the partnership.
