It is a very sad to say but it is time to see the original One Lap of America two time winner off to a new owner.

This car has been very good to us and has been treated with lots of love for the last almost 3 years we have owned it.  The car was purchased used with 2k miles on it and modified to run OLOA.  It has been completely built and up kept by our team here at TopSpeed.   The car was nut and bolted, freshened up, checked and double checked before and after every event it ran.  Oil and fluids have been changed at minimum every other track event.

This is literally one of if not the fastest road race GT-R in the country!  It holds GT-R track records at almost every track it has even been to.   It has been professionally set up and driven by professional driver Leh Keen and is absolutely ready for the track.

The car is in the process of getting ready for the new owner.  I am sending this car off absolutely ready for someone to turn key go break records.  This car has taken great care of us and I am going to give it a proper send off.

So for the new owner I have completely refreshed the car.  Literally every wear component I am rebuilding or replacing with brand new stuff.  There will be no time at all on the following items.

Current Refresh:

-Fresh TSM 3.8ltr Engine
-Fresh Valve job and head surface
-Transmission & Differential Refreshed by Shep
-Brand new Rotors
-Brand new pads
-New SPL arms
-Brand new tires
-Caliper Rebuild front and rear

If someone wanted this to be a dual purpose car that would not be hard.  I have the factory seats as well as a complete track and street wheel and tire setup.  Remember this was our One Lap car that was driven by Leh and Doug over 10k miles of transit driving around the country.  It still has all the creature comforts of a factory GT-R if that was your goal.

Please if you have any questions at all feel free to call me at the shop, PM me or email me at cicio@topspeedtuned.com

I honestly didn't know where to start to ask for this car.  It isn't a high HP monster like some of the other cars forsale right now, but it has more R&D in it then probably any street driven GT-R in the US.  Not to mention a slew of really nice parts with some one offs thrown in there :)

CONDITION:

This car is in good shape but know it is not a garage queen or show car.  This car has been tracked.  It does not have dents or scratches or any major flaws at all, but it is by no means a perfect show room floor GT-R.   I am happy to send as many pictures as anyone would like via email.  I literally have hundreds of them!  The car has no graphics or stickers on it now and will be fully detailed and buffed for the new owner.

Just as a side note I would love to continue servicing this car.  If someone somewhat local bought it and wanted it set up, serviced or track side support in any way I would offer a drastic discount to the new owner.  This car IS part of the TopSpeed family and would be treated as such after it is sold.

Nissan recalls over 120,000 Altimas due to... spare tire inflation?!

Mon, 29 Apr 2013

A pressure regulator that over- or underinflated spare tires for five days earlier this year has led to a recall of 123,308 units of the 2013 Nissan Altima. Sedans that were manufactured from March 21-26 are those possibly affected by the temporary tire snafu, the recall for which will begin on May 3.
Those notified of the issue can take their sedans to their local Nissan dealer, who will check the tire pressure and correct it if necessary, but we imagine owners can probably just whip out a tire gauge to check and adjust the inflation for themselves. Should you need it, there's an official notice from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration below with a few more details.

PickupTrucks.com's latest test results in a familiar winner [w/video]

Wed, 19 Jun 2013

PickupTrucks.com has gone and thrown the latest batch of half-ton pickups into a cage match to see who would come out on top. The site put the 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, GMC Sierra 1500, 2013 Ford F-150, Ram 1500, Toyota Tundra and Nissan Titan through a battery of tests. Those included 0-60 miles per hour acceleration, 60-0 mph deceleration, fuel economy, a hill climb, and payload and towing. They even threw the rigs on an autocross course to evaluate overall handling. Each truck was given points based on how it scored in each evaluation.
Who came out on top? Somewhat surprisingly, the 2013 Ford F-150 walked away with the gold, though fewer than 50 points separated first and fourth place. Head over to PickupTrucks.com to read the full evaluation and the final results. You may be shocked to see exactly where some of the segment's newest additions placed. You can also watch a video on the test below.

Renault taking Alpine endurance racing, enters 24 Hours of Le Mans

Sun, 10 Mar 2013

Renault isn't letting up with the return of its Alpine brand. After announcing a partnership with Caterham to bring a new Alpine to market by 2015 (now expected by 2016), the French firm has announced it is taking Alpine racing again in the European Le Mans Series this year - and that includes The 24 Hours of Le Mans.
It has been 35 years since Alpine last competed in Le Mans, when it won the race outright and dropped the mic as it left the pits, never to return. Before that, in the 11 years it campaigned in the most famous endurance race on the planet from 1963 to 1978, it took seven class wins.
Caterham won't be involved with the race team, however; that will be an effort spearheaded by the Signatech-Nissan team that has been running GT Academy winners in LMS racing. Alpine is preparing an LMP2 chassis that will get a 500-horsepower Nissan engine for this year's championship, with the first two named drivers being Nelson Panciatici (above right) and Pierre Ragues (above left). The third driver for Le Mans will be announced later this month when the racer is launched at the Le Castellet race track in southern France.
