2009 Nissan GTR r35 This is quite possibly the cheapest, clean titled, ready-to-drive GTR in the country! Interior: The interior on this clean title 2009 Nissan GTR is black on black. It is in good condition with no major flaws. There is a small rip on drivers seat that should be repaired in the next week. All electronics, radio, windows, navigation, gauges and seats perform their respective functions properly. The only issue with the interior is a couple of the backlight LEDs on the gauge cluster dim out on occasion at night behind the 7,8,9 on the Tachometer. (common issue on GTR). It features about every gauge you can think of on the navigation screen, as well as an excellent BOSE sound system. The car is automatic with paddle shifters that make this thing an absolute blast to drive! There are no service lights requiring attention on the dash. For some reason, the carfax is not loading on ebay motors. If you would like to see it, please message me and ill be happy to email it over. According to carfax, It has zero accidents and 4 prior owners. Exterior: This car is black with gunmetal wheels. The exterior is in pretty good shape and is still shiny. People everywhere turn and stare when it goes down the road! It does have its fair share of rock chips and light scratches as normal for a higher mileage vehicle. The front bumper and side skirt have a few small areas (pictured) where it could use repainted. The headlights are in great working order but could use a polish just to remove some oxidation on them from age. Mechanical: Everything mechanically is in good shape. the engine and transmission function properly. Smooth, split second shifts coupled with a twin turbo motor that pulls hard and sounds amazing, make driving this car an amazing experience! It has been well maintained and I have a good amount of receipts for it all as well. Recently, it was taken to Shepards Transmission (arguably one of the best GTR transmission shop in the country). The transmission was removed and inspected, as well as new internal seals and pressure sensors were installed. Previous to this, the trans was rebuilt by SSP about 30k miles ago. It has new Hawk HPS brake Pads as well as new fluids in engine, trans and diff.

Nismo smartwatch concept tracks both car and driver [w/videos]

Mon, 09 Sep 2013

Whether you agree or not, this writer believes that every supercar needs a wristwatch to go with it. Though the Nissan GT-R has been lacking in this one regard, Nissan is keen to correct that wrong. But while most of these automotive-inspired timepieces are decidedly mechanical, Nissan has gone a suitably different direction in creating its new Nismo watch concept.
The electronic smartwatch connects driver, car, watch and phone in a sleek design. The device allows drivers to monitor such parameters as the car's average speed and fuel consumption, access performance telematics on the track, monitor their own heart rate and interface with their smartphone via Bluetooth and a dedicated app. The watch can even tell the driver when it's time to bring his car in for scheduled maintenance, post lap times and such to popular social media platforms, and of course, you know - literally give you the time of day.
Though still in the concept phase, Nissan seems keen to bring this to market, has even gone so far as to design the packaging - made of tire rubber scraped off the track - and done it up in three colors: red, white or black. In the meantime Nismo will be showcasing the smartwatch concept at the Frankfurt show this week, where we hope to get a glimpse up close, but you can delve into the press release and the pair of videos below.

Apple iTunes Radio picks Nissan as first automotive launch partner

Tue, 24 Sep 2013

With the launch of iOS 7 last week, those who carry around a certain fruit-branded cellphone got access to a new technology called iTunes Radio. Apple's delayed entry into a market currently dominated by service such as Spotify and Pandora, iTunes Radio allows users to create their own stations or to choose from a number of featured stations. From there, listeners can fine tune their results to deliver more popular songs or newer, deeper tracks. Each song is linked back to the iTunes store, allowing users to easily buy songs they fall in love with.
Now, Nissan has teamed with Apple as the exclusive launch partner for iTunes Radio. This partnership means you'll be seeing some Nissan-specific content when you're surfing through iTunes Radio, with some subtler stuff in the form of material and some not-so-subtle approaches, like Nissan's use of iAd, a system that allows developers to directly insert advertisements into apps. The focus at first will be on the upcoming Rogue, the redesigned Versa Note and the Leaf EV.
Nissan's vice president of marketing in North America, Jon Brancheau, explained the team up, saying, "We see iTunes Radio as an integral part of our new vehicle launches and 'big moments,' riding the wave of interest and usage of this exciting new service to maximize exposure of Nissan's new models." Take a look below for the rundown from Nissan.

Nissan working on bringing bizarro BladeGlider to dealerships?

Thu, 09 Jan 2014

It's a rare thing for pie-in-the-sky concepts to make production relatively unmolested. Edges are usually softened, mirrors made bigger and wheels shrunken into something that will be less backbreaking and easier to see out of on public roads. And while the essence of many concepts can still find their way into production, the wackier parts found in their concept forms often end up as nothing more than flights of fancy.
That makes news of the strange Nissan BladeGlider being considered for production rather interesting. You'll recall that the BladeGlider Concept debuted in November at the 2013 Tokyo Motor Show, featuring a McLaren-esque three-seat V layout, an electric drivetrain and a narrow front track like the DeltaWing and ZEOD RC. Understandably, perhaps, Nissan has been touting it as "reinventing the performance car." Everything about it screamed "concept."
Now comes word from Car in the UK that the car may actually make it to production. Quoting Nissan vice president Andy Palmer, "It's in our mid-term plan." "Our intention is to do it," he says. Now, Palmer has plenty of sway, but this should hardly be taken as an absolute confirmation that the triangle-shaped car would be coming. It is, however, a very promising sign. Palmer evidently sees the BladeGlider as a way to cajole young people into becoming car enthusiasts, which suggests Nissan might try to make it inexpensive. Alternatively, the BladeGlider could form the basis of a small-volume racecar, but it isn't clear what racing organization would have it.
