This is the new body style Nissan Altima with only 5k miles in absolutely perfect condition. 3.5 litre V6, much more powerful than the 2.5 4 cylinder models with nearly the same gas mileage. 1 owner non smoking vehicle and has been garaged the entire time. Has every option except leather seats. Very smooth running, luxurious car and still has that new car smell. See photos. I purchased this car new from a dealer in Tustin CA when I retired in February 2013 as a commuter thinking I would work another job, however that never developed and I do not need two cars. Has been getting 28 miles combined city/highway mileage and well over 30 mpg (depending on how you drive) on the highway. First oil change and service has been completed. Car has only been driven a short distance since the service. Still under original new car warranty (purchased 6 months ago so several years are still left on the warranty) This car lists for nearly $30,000 plus tax and license if you buy new from a dealer. I am selling it under actual value to eliminate a monthly payment and insurance for a car I never drive.
**Please note**: I currently have a loan on this vehicle with Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation. Buyer will have to make arrangements to pay off whatever balanced is still owed to NMAC when it sells with the remainder of the selling price to be paid by Paypal, cash or certified check. No personal checks. Buyer will be responsible for pick up and/or transportation as well as any applicable taxes or government fees and registration and transfer of title.

Nissan Patrol attempts Guinness record with 170-ton cargo plane tow
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Yesterday, Nissan teased us with a video showing a Patrol pulling up to a 170-ton cargo plane at an airport in the Middle East - we could only assume that the not-for-America sports utility vehicle would attempt to tow the jet.
Well, somebody leaked the official Nissan video, which indeed shows the Patrol successfully pulling the plane 30 meters for what reportedly is a Guinness world record. While Guinness hasn't confirmed the record on its website at time of writing, the 170-ton jet would be the heaviest plane ever towed by a production automobile. The video was taken down quickly, but another video shot by an observer at the event was posted for our enjoyment. We figured Nissan would move to repost the official video sooner rather than later, and it did.
The Patrol seems to have no problem towing 340,000 pounds, but let's just say it wasn't a quick ordeal. Check out the official and unofficial video of the tow below, as well as Nissan's teaser video. In a reversal of fortunes, we also threw in another, somewhat smaller but perhaps just as impressive vid, just for fun.
This tiny 1.5L engine from Nissan makes 400 horsepower
Tue, 28 Jan 2014Back in 2012, Ford packed its tiny 1.0-liter EcoBoost three-cylinder in a carry-on suitcase, destined for use in the Fiesta here in the US. In June, Nissan will pack its tiny new three-cylinder engine in a 24 Hours of Le Mans racecar. Nissan's don't-call-me-DeltaWing ZEOD RC racecar will still be able to tackle a single lap under full electric power, but the rest of the time it will be powered by the new 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine.
Holding the lightweight engine (at right) is Nismo president Shoichi Miyatani, and he's likely smiling because that 40-kilogram (88-pound) engine packs quite a punch with 400 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. Nissan would like to take a moment to point out this engine's power-to-weight is better than the engines currently used in Formula One racecars. Scroll down for more information on this new race engine, which we'll see in action at Le Mans in June.
NA auto output to reach 11-year peak
Thu, 13 Jun 2013According to Automotive News, automakers are expected to manufacture 16 million light vehicles in North America in 2013. That's up 500,000 units from last year and marks the largest number since 2002. The prediction comes courtesy of LMC Automotive and IHS Automotive, which point to the improving US economy as a bellwether for total production. LMC Automotive says North America will produce 16 million vehicles while IHS has a slightly more optimistic forecast of 16.1 million units. A total of seven automakers are slated to increase production on the continent this year. Nissan is set to see the largest jump at 20 percent over last year.
Volkswagen, meanwhile, is one of the only manufacturers predicted to scale back production. Analysts expect the German company's output to fall by 23 percent to 170,000 units, thanks in part to slow demand for the Volkswagen Passat and Jetta.
