1985 300ZX -UNDER 32,000 MILES

NEVER SEEN SNOW • GARAGE KEPT • NO RUST • DRIVES GREAT

Today, this vehicle has under 31,717 original miles. It is one of the lowest mileage 300Z's in the country. It is now driven daily, so it may go slightly over that number by the time it sells. I have owned about 30 different types of cars over the years... this by far, is my favorite to drive & I've had & still do have some cool cars. It's just fun...like driving a skateboard!

As second owner of this 26 year old vehicle ... it does runs great, but I want to be honest and let you know of some technical issues... cruise, volt gauge and temperature sensor for climate control don't work (A/C works), the power antenna is stuck up and it's missing a partial fabric panel on the roof liner (see photo). The tailpipe leaks, but I like the sound it makes (honest...it sounds good). None of these bother me so I just never dealt with them. I just drive it.

The body is in fantastic condition. I tried showing pictures of the couple scratches in the paint, but it's hard to see...by eye or camera. There are a couple dimples on the hood where the previous owner used it for garage box storage (hence the low miles), but very minor and can easily be removed by anybody with the right tools in minutes. Really this car is in fantastic condition. The under carriage is spotless as a garage kept vehicle should be. When I bought it, I put new tires on it, changed the fluids, got in and drove it.

With very little TLC, this truly could be a show car. The interior is in wonderful condition: no rips, tears or sun damage. The all original paint shines & the body style really catches peoples attention everywhere you go.

Historically, these cars easily run for 200,000 miles. With only 32,000 on the odometer, this baby will treat someone right as a long-term fun driver or show car to lock away for sunny days. I suggest the prior. It's fun!

Nissan testing experimental dealer with no desks or offices

Wed, 26 Mar 2014

Nissan thinks it has found a better way to sell cars, and it involves stripping showrooms of everything but the cars and sales team. The brand calls the experiment the Nissan New Retail Concept, and it might get tested in the US in a few years.
The concept is relatively simple. Showrooms ditch offices, reception counters, cubicles and desks. Instead salespeople walk around inside and outside the dealer with mobile devices to assist customers and even complete sales. Associates are trained to take immediate responsibility for each visitor they encounter. For example, if owners comes inside with a problem with their vehicle, the employee escorts them to the service department and introduces them.
A dealer in London has been testing the new layout for the last nine months, and so far it reports better customer satisfaction, loyalty and most importantly higher sales. Nissan next plans to launch test stores in Moscow and Stuttgart. Then it will broaden out to more of Western Europe and finally will be tested in the Japan, the US and the Middle East, according to Automotive News.

Infiniti's new Design Director is American Alfonso Albaisa

Fri, 10 May 2013

The man responsible for creating the sleek 2010 Nissan Ellure Concept you see above is now the design director for Infiniti. Alfonso Albaisa (shown at right) has been a member of the Nissan design team for 25 years, but was recently promoted to executive design director for the Infiniti brand.
His past roles at Nissan have included design director for Nissan from 2004 to 2007, vice president of Nissan Design Europe from 2007 to 2011, vice president of Nissan Design America in 2011 and, most recently, he held the title of Nissan's global design director. Aside from Ellure, Albaisa was also responsible for designing the 2012 Nissan Xtrem Concept, "key strategic production vehicles soon to be launched" and he's even contributed to a handful of Infiniti designs. Nissan Leaf Nismo RC Concept [w/video]

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

Nissan took the wraps off its Leaf Nismo RC Concept at the New York Auto Show more than two years ago. As inferred, the vehicle shares many of its pure-EV components with the production Leaf currently sitting in your dealer's showroom. But don't assume the concept is a placid, family friendly, four-place, front-wheel-drive plug-in for grabbing groceries - the RC (as in "Racing Challenge") is a purpose-built, two-seat, rear-wheel-drive prototype race car tuned for the short track.
The RC Concept is fitted with an 80-kW AC synchronous motor driving the rear wheels and drawing power from a 48-module lithium-ion battery. While the motor and battery are nearly identical to the consumer-friendly Leaf, a sleek full carbon-fiber monocoque body shell and a slew of other enhancements mean the RC is 40-percent lighter, a foot shorter in overall height and nearly seven inches wider than its commuter namesake. Nissan says the RC Concept will hit 62 miles per hour in about 6.8 seconds, top out at 93 mph and run for about 20 minutes under race conditions (it will accept an 80-percent charge in 30 minutes with a quick-charger). Understandably, if a zero-emissions motorsport series comes to fruition, the races would be short and nearly silent.
We caught up with the Leaf Nismo RC concept in Southern California, where we were offered the opportunity to zip it around a tight autocross at the former Marine Corps Air Station, El Toro.
