NOT SURE HOW THE OWNERSHIP WILL REPORT OWNERS BY THE VIN BUT THIS CAR HAS HAD ONE OWNER EVEN THOUGH THE TITLE HAS BEEN IN MY NAME, MY WIFES AND MOST RECENTLY MY SONS FOR INSURANCE PURPOSES. EVEN THOUGH NOT PERFECT, IT IS IN GREAT CONDITION AND HAS BEEN DRIVEN VERY LITTLE OVER THE LAST SEVEN YEARS AND ALWAYS GARAGED. TO PROVE MY POINT, I HAVE A SERVICE RECEIPT DATED APRIL 2006 WHEN THE CLUTCH WAS REPOLACED AND THE MILAGE THEN WAS 100,759............TODAY IT IS LESS THAT 111,000. HAVE BEEN KEEPING IT FOR INVESTMENT AND SENTIMENTAL REASONS. RECENTLY FOUND ANOTHER VEHICLE TO LOVE AND MY WIFE WON'T LET ME KEEP BOTH.
IT IS IN GREAT RUNNING CONDITION AND ALL THINGS WORK..........I WOULD GET IN IT TODAY AND NOT HESITATE OR WORRY TO DRIVE IT ANYWHERE.
THE INTERIOR IS PERFECT WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE DRIVER SEAT SHOWING WEAR WHICH YOU CAN SEE IN PHOTO AND THE BOOT AROUND THE GEARSHIFT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I DID SO ONCE AND THIS ONE HAS WORN OUT TOO. THERE ARE TWO PLASTIC COVERS THAT CONCEAL THE BACK LIGHTS THAT HAVE COME LOOSE AND WILL ONLY STAY IN PLACE VIA DUCT TAPE..........YOU WILL NOTICE SOME RESIDUE OF THE TAPE IN THE SHOT WITH THE HATCHBACK UP ON THE LIP ON THE LEFT SIDE.
THERE ARE ALSO SOME SCRATCHES DUE TO THE AGE AND MY CARELESSNESS.........THE MAJOR ARE: ONE BY THE GAS COVER THAT YOU WILL NEEED TO LOOK CLOSELY IN THE PICTURE TO SEE......ANOTHER IS ON THE DRIVER REAR PANEL WHERE I GOT TOO CLOSE TO A WALL ONE TIME.......THE LAST REALLY NOTICABLE SCRATCH IS ON THE FRONT END PANEL OF PASSENGER SIDE WHERE ONCE AGAIN I SCRATCHED A HIGH CURB. THERE IS A FAIRLY GOOD SIZE INDENTION ON THE DRIVER SIDE JUST TO THE RIGHT TOP OF THE DRIVER REAR WHEEL THAT I CAN'T TAKE CREDIT FOR........HAPPENED WHILE PARKED IN A SHOPPING LOT AND JUST NEVER GOT IT OUT. I HAVE TRIED TO CAPTURE ALL THESE IN THE PICTURES.

Mitsubishi could race in rallies again, but not with a new Lancer Evo
Sat, Jun 26 2021Mitsubishi could make a long-awaited comeback to the world of rally racing in the coming years. It's open to injecting more performance into its range, but its need for speed won't spawn a new version of the Lancer Evolution. Speaking to investors during a shareholder meeting held in Japan, company boss Takao Kato explained the first step towards making quicker, more exciting cars was reviving the Ralliart brand in May 2021. "We plan to expand [Ralliart] to a wide range of models as genuine accessories first, but we will also consider involvement in rallies," the CEO stated, according to Japanese publication Response. Crucially, a racing program has not been approved yet. How a potential return to rallying would be orchestrated remains to be seen. In the past, Mitsubishi's rally superstar was the Lancer Evolution (pictured), which retired without a successor in 2015. The firm's current range consists of crossovers, SUVs, and pickup trucks with the exception of the Mirage, which is likely too small to credibly turn into a rally car. While it's tempting to speculate a return to racing will bring the Evo back to the range, even without a Lancer to build it on, Kato doused cold water on the years-old rumors mapping out the nameplate's future. He stressed a next-generation Evo is not in the pipeline, even though Mitsubishi's shareholders are requesting one. "Electrification is expensive, and we're still not strong enough. We ended the previous fiscal year with a big deficit," Kato said. "First, we need to revive the company. Then, we'll look into putting out the cars fans are waiting for." His plans to revive the company include launching a number of mainstream models in rapid-fire succession. The Mirage, the Eclipse Cross, and the Outlander Sport recently benefited from an array of updates, most of which were reasonably well received, and the new Outlander was unveiled earlier in 2021 with dramatic improvements. Daimler declares success in electric truck trial [w/video]
Fri, Nov 6 2015Last year, Daimler launched a project to see how eight Fuso Canter E-Cells performed in daily urban service in Portugal. After over 32,000 miles on the road, the newly released results showed astounding figures. Compared to their diesel-counterparts, the commercial EVs slashed operating costs by 64 percent. The trucks were also great for the environment with a 37-percent drop in CO2 emissions after taking into account how the country makes power. Daimler gave the trucks to Portuguese cities and businesses, and the users definitely didn't baby them. In Lisbon, the EV disposed of vegetation, and the Canter E-Cell collected recyclables in Porto. The one with the parcel service Transporta covered over 8,700 miles to make deliveries during the year. On average, the testers used the vehicles about 31 miles a day, but 68 miles was the record distance during the trial. "The results of the practical tests have shown that we are on the right track," Marc Llistosella, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation said in Daimler's announcement. The Daimler Trucks Centre of Competence for Hybrid Technology developed the small run of Canter E-Cells. The models ditch the usual 3.0-liter diesel in favor of an electric motor that produces 148 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque. Four lithium-ion battery packs with a total of 48.4 kWh are mounted to two sides of the frame. To maximize the range, the system begins recovering energy as soon as the driver lets off the throttle. Check out the video below for a look at how the Portuguese testers put the commercial EVs through their paces. This content is hosted by a third party. 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage gets updated styling and equipment
Thu, Nov 19 2015There's a brand-new Mirage, you guys. For the 2017 model year, the budget-friendly little hatchback features updated styling and equipment inside and out. And it still promises to be one of the cheapest cars on the market. The changes start on the outside, where the 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage greets the world with a new hood, grille, bumpers, lighting, wheels, and rear spoiler. The updates continue inside, where you'll find new fabrics, instruments, and controls. New options include a Rockford-Fosgate audio system and – for the first time in a Mitsu – Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. The 1.2-liter inline-three carries over, but with a new camshaft to produce 78 horsepower and 74 pound-feet of torque. Modest as those figures are, power is up by four horses for the new model year. The front brake discs are larger, as are the rear drums. And the suspension has been retuned as well. Mitsubishi hasn't announced pricing for the updated Mirage. We'd expect a small bump in price to accompany the upgrades, but the Japanese automaker would be wise not to veer to far north of the current model's $12,995 sticker price. Because while it may be one of the cheapest new cars available, alternatives like the Nissan Versa, Chevy Spark, and Kia Rio all hover in the same territory. THE 2017 MITSUBISHI MIRAGE: NEW EXTERIOR DESIGN AND ADDED PERFORMANCE ENHANCEMENTS - The new Mitsubishi Mirage continues to deliver outstanding fuel economy - 2017 Mirage will feature Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ - Attractive pricing and 10-year warranty distances the competition CYPRESS, Calif. Nov. 18, 2015 – Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA) today announced details for the fuel-efficient 2017 Mitsubishi Mirage featuring a new exterior design, improved performance and enhanced interior appeal. Despite all that is new for Mirage in 2017, a few things didn't change at all—Mirage still offers impressive fuel economy, attractive pricing and industry leading new vehicle and powertrain warranties. The Mitsubishi Mirage hatchback will be available at dealers in spring 2016. "Mirage has gained popularity with its affordable and practical appeal," said Don Swearingen, executive vice president, MNNA. "Mirage owners are looking for a vehicle that does its job well and is reliable.
