Up for sale privately is a BMW Mini Countryman. This is a one owner bought from new vehicle with some minor upgrades down to it in terms of cosmetics. It has twin electronic moonroofs and roof rails with the checkered decal on the roof and the mirrors (adds at least 5 MPH...) It has the black glossy alloy wheels added to it which set the car off nicely and and add more of a sporty look to it. It is actually a very capable small vehicle with four doors and a hatchback with very reasonably storage capacity. Add to this the ability to fold forward the rear seats and you can carry quite a good deal of things in the back of the vehicle. The paintwork is in great condition, with a few very small nicks but not in obvious areas at all. It has a lot of useful features such as the USB connection and the tray that runs from front to back. You can buy various attachments such as eyewear/sunglass holders, additional cup holders etc. The instruments are all easy to read and useful. Above all, the vehicle, bigger than the smaller Cooper "S" is comfortable over long distances with more headroom and legroom - the perfect compromise to have a fast fun, sporty vehicle that is an absolute pleasure on the pocket in terms of gas mileage. Add to this the benefit of only having to change the synthetic oil every 15,000 miles and you really do make savings.

The vehicle has been fault free from purchase and has been garaged but it is now time for a bigger vehicle - have moved to a larger truck for business. We have just replaced four new tires and they have less than 1000 miles on them. The car is fully detailed and can be driven anywhere you wish should you decide to pick the vehicle up after the sale. BMW shuffles chairs in its design department

BMW Group has made some changes to its design team since August 1, and has shuffled top personnel to different positions at BMW Design, Mini Design and Rolls-Royce.

Mini lineup could expand to include up to 10 models, still no hope for Rocketman

During an event in Ponce, Puerto Rico last week where Mini introduced members of the media to the 2013 Paceman and John Cooper Works GP, product planners discussed that the brand's lineup could expand to eventually include up to 10 bodystyles. Currently, the Mini range consists of seven models: the Hardtop, Clubman, Convertible, Countryman, Coupe, Roadster and Paceman.
Speaking to members of the media, David Duncan, Mini USA sales manager, said that these new models could fall into a range of niches - "any segment that makes sense for a small car." No specific vehicle classes were discussed, but Duncan stated that the possibilities are endless, "as long as we're the smallest player in any segment."
Well, nearly endless. We've been hoping that Mini would re-think its decision to nix plans to create a vehicle smaller than the Hardtop - a notion previewed by the excellent Rocketman concept (shown above) from the 2011 Geneva Motor Show - but the automaker once again stated that this is absolutely off the table. In order to create a vehicle of the Rocketman's size, a completely new platform would have to be engineered (that's expensive), and while Mini has looked into acquiring existing architecture from another brand, parent company BMW has reportedly put the kibosh on such an act. If a Rocketman is ever to be born, BMW/Mini will do it on its own, and right now, that simply isn't in the cards.

Mini Cooper five-door exists and has been spotted

The two-door Mini Cooper is getting two additional portals in its next generation. A coming five-door Cooper S with central exhaust has been spotted out testing, the idea presumably being that it will pose a better challenge to other small, premium hatches in the segment like the A1 Sportback from Audi. Based on the same UKL platform that will support the production version of the BMW Concept Active Tourer, the wheelbase has been lengthened to make more room for rear passengers.
It should be revealed on the auto show circuit at some point next year, getting buyers ready for its production in 2014. We'll find out then if it gets a special name and how it fits in with - or perhaps replaces - the Clubman.
