1999 Mercedes SLK 230 Convertible red manual transmission. the car runs great with no mechanical problems and no check engine light on. some repair papers in glove box when needed. the paint is good and no rust it does have a few chips here and there but they are small. ac needs to be recharged but i have not done so as i ride with the top down and have kept it in the garage in the winter. there is a interior piece broken and i will get a picture of that soon. again the car runs out great with no problems --- any questions send a message and Thanks for looking !!!

Mercedes teases IAA Concept for Frankfurt
Mon, Sep 14 2015Mercedes-Benz is being coy about the IAA Concept you see above. The Germany automaker admits its name is short for Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile, but isn't letting out much more. In a very short statement, Mercedes describes the IAA as "two cars in one: an aerodynamics world champion and a four-door coupe embodying irresistible design." Does that mean the IAA points the way forward for the next version of the brand's shapely CLS, which it also refers to as a four-door coupe? Probably, but we're not sure where the "Intelligent" part comes in. Will it be an electric machine that presages a competitor to the Tesla Model S? We'll just have to wait and see. One thing is for certain: The Mercedes IAA looks sleek. While the details of its design are shrouded in strategically placed shadows, we can clearly see a double-bubble roofline that flows seamlessly into a graceful hatch that reminds us of the Audi A7, which isn't a bad design to borrow cues from. The overall shape of the Intelligent Aerodynamic Automobile makes it look like bodywork shrink-wrapped atop the chassis as tightly as possible. We're keen to take a look at the IAA ourselves, and that's going to happen rather soon. Mercedes promises a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the early afternoon (Eastern). Stay tuned. Recharge Wrap-up: KillaJoule hits 270 mph; Mercedes B-Class ED gets PlugShare
Wed, Sep 24 2014The Mercedes-Benz B-Class Electric Drive will get its own version of the PlugShare charging-station locator app. Developed by Recargo with the help of Daimler, the vehicle-specific app will be integrated into the car's navigation system. The system maps the location of nearby charging stations from various networks. So far, Mercedes-Benz doesn't offer a universal pay service for the various charging networks, like those offered by BMW and Nissan. Read more at Green Car Reports. HyperSolar uses solar energy to make hydrogen from water. Without using electrolyzers, HyperSolar uses a photochemical process to separate and capture the hydrogen in the water, which can then be used for clean energy, such as automotive fuel cells. The solar devices are submerged in water inside a container, and sunlight powers the device to free the hydrogen. HyperSolar claims that its process is more efficient and cost effective than other methods used to produce hydrogen from water. After a computer model showed a possibility of about 270 mph, the team took the motorcycle with sidecar out to the salt flats for Mike Cook's Shootout. Everything went smoothly, and Hakansson easily surpassed speeds of the 249.1-mph world record she set a few weeks ago. The team is calling it quits for the season, but will make some tweaks to the KillaJoule in hopes of getting 300 mph out of the red bullet next year. AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away
Mon, 16 Sep 2013After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
