My 1991 Mercedes 500SL roadster is in real good condition and been very well maintained. It has very low mileage for being a 23+ year classic car (99,000 miles). This Mercedes is a classy hard to find combination of a Black exterior with a Palomino (dark tan) interior. It has an automatic transmission, cold air conditioning, power locks, windows, seats, cruise control, power telescopic steering wheel, keyless entry, driver and passenger airbags, automatic roll bar, etc. Whether 10mph or 100mph this roadster drives absolutely fantastic. I own a few classic cars and need to make some room. This 500SL is insured by Safco as a Classic Car and my full cover insurance premium for one year is $275. This specific car was purchased brand new in November, 1990 by Actor/Producer/Screenwriter/Director Warren Beatty. I still have his Vehicle Warranty Booklet issued to him with the VIN# and address of his Los Angeles "Mulholland Production Company" along with his Maintenance Booklet "stamped" by the MB dealers in Hollywood, C.A. and Van Nuys C.A. The interior is in very nice condition and has beautiful wood accents throughout the interior. This Mercedes has the original AM/FM cassette with a factory CD changer mounted in the trunk. The one button touch automatic convertible top and roll bar function 100%. The car also comes with the hardtop that is in excellent condition as well as a new headliner with padding installed. I also have a hard top cart and car cover made for this car. EVO "2012 Car of the Year: The Track Battles" is a sports car salmagundi
Sun, 25 Nov 2012EVO has come out with another gotta-watch-it video, throwing its 2012 Car of the Year contestants around the UK's 1.5-mile Blyton Park track. It's actually a 15-minute teaser for the full-length DVD detailing the magazine's Car of the Year selection, but the tease is worth every penny free second.
Tiff Needell and sports car racer Richard Meaden handle the wheel duties, the two driving five pairs of sports cars: Lotus Exige S vs. Porsche Boxster S, Morgan Three-Wheeler vs. Toyota GT86, BMW M135i vs. Porsche 911, Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG Black Series vs. Alpina B3 GT3, the marquee event pits the McLaren MP4-12C vs. the Pagani Huayra. After a head-to-head lap with commentary during drifts, Meaden takes each car out to set a representative lap time.

Mercedes-Benz S63 AMG officially teased in mini video
Mon, 15 Jul 2013The followup to the Mercedes-Benz S550, the S63 AMG, will sport a biturbocharged V8 that will likely turn out around 550 horsepower. The new engine is probably the 5.5-liter, biturbocharged V-8 that's been popping up in everything from the ML63 to the E63 AMG. The front fascia is more aggressive, which shouldn't come as a surprise, while a meaty exhaust setup can be found out back.
We managed to pick all that up from a short, 17-second video posted by MB. The original video that unveiled the S63 AMG has since been pulled down, making this YouTube clip the best look we now have at the new super sedan, at least until the Germans give up the goods for real.

Mercedes-AMG considering turbo fours, hybrid sixes for future performance sedans
Tue, 29 Apr 2014Think of the letters AMG and you'll probably end up picturing a performance sedan with a big V8. Such has become, after all, the Mercedes turning division's calling card. But with the introduction of its 2.0-liter turbo four, AMG is working at turning that notion on its head.
The highly potent engine produces 355 horsepower and is presently installed in the A45 AMG hatchback, CLA45 AMG sedan and GLA45 AMG crossover, giving Benz's smallest family a full range of performance models. But that might not be the full extent of the high-strung four-pot's use.
Speaking with AMG boss Tobias Moers, Britain's What Car? magazine reports that Affalterbach is considering slotting the same engine into larger models, particularly performance sedans like the C-Class. As we recently reported, Mercedes is already preparing to up the power from the turbo V6 in the C400 to slot a C450 Sport in below the C63 AMG. The C450 is expected to offer around 367 horsepower where the CLA45 AMG et al pack 355, but the lighter weight of the four-cylinder engine would likely offset the truancy of those extra dozen horses. Of course such a prospect would be much further down the pipeline than the C450 Sport which is expected to arrive much sooner.
