Mb Ml350 Excellent Condition, Fully Maintained. on 2040-cars
New Tazewell, Tennessee, United States
We bought this vehicle off eBay nearly 3 years ago. The objective was to see if we liked an SUV as we were Town & Country van buyers for years. Our daughter was at college and we no longer needed a van to haul a load of school friends around!
When we bought the vehicle it was in need of an extensive servicing. This has all been done; new brakes drums, discs and shoes, all around, safety brake mechanism replaced, tires replaced the newest fronts have only 8000 miles on them. I also replaced the headlight units. I bit the bullet and bought nice shiny replacements last November. They really make the vehicle look sharp. I replaced the remote door opening key fobs about 6 weeks ago, so they are brand new and newly programmed. ($400 value) On the drivers door their is a small rust spot about 1' diameter. It is cosmetic and can be repaired without too much effort. There is a plastic rear tow hook cover that I have bought from MB a replacement for but have not painted silver yet. (It's been too cold to paint!) The vehicle is tip top shape and ready for plenty of good miles ahead. I need to sell it, as I need the garage space for another 4WD SUV. Yes this vehicle converted us! I have not sold a vehicle on ebay before but I have sold a lot of our sheep's wool over the years. I require a $500 deposit as immediate security followed by cash balance when the vehicle is collected. We live in East Tennessee about 30 minutes North of Knoxville. |

VW looking to MAN up, ditch Mercedes van deal
Wed, 16 Jan 2013Unlike the US, the commercial truck market throughout the rest of the world is chocked full of competitors from many different automakers. Since 2006, Volkswagen has had a fullsize van called the Crafter that was a result of a partnership with Daimler AG and based on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. This partnership is supposed to last through 2016, but Reuters is reporting that VW might be looking to end its relationship with Daimler and create its own van in cooperation with German truck and bus maker MAN.
The article says that VW AG has more than a 75-percent stake in MAN, which would essentially be keeping the new commercial vehicle in-house. Even if VW bolts, Daimler still has a deal worked out in the commercial truck industry between its subsidiary Mitsubishi Fuso and Renault-Nissan to supply the other with different trucks.
BMW expects China to pass US as its top market in 2013
Thu, 11 Jul 2013When you combine two billion citizens, 100 cities with more than a million inhabitants and an economy that's as unrestrained as Jim Cramer on an Adderall binge, China's explosive auto industry growth shouldn't be a huge surprise. Audi already lists the communist country as its largest market, while Mercedes-Benz is expecting it to be there in the next few years. Now, according to a report from Automotive News, BMW is expecting the People's Republic to overtake the United States in sales by the end of 2013.
We already discovered the extent that BMW is going to in establishing a dedicated Chinese stronghold, when we explored BMW's Shanghai-based DesignWorks studio ahead of April's Shanghai Motor Show. And while we argued that DesignWorks Shanghai hasn't really borne fruit, it isn't due to a lack of sales.
BMW China has seen a 16-percent jump in year-over-year sales, lead by a 28-percent gain in 5 Series sales. Part of BMW's growth strategy comes from an ever-expanding dealership network. Remember those 100 cities we mentioned with over one million people? According to Karsten Engel, CEO of BMW's Chinese operations, those 100-million-plus city dwellers don't have access to a premium dealership.
Autoblog drives to the Arctic Circle
Fri, 22 Mar 2013In Which Mercedes' Sprinter Becomes A Long-Distance Sherpa
In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
As I am about to nod off on my long leg flight from Minneapolis to Anchorage ahead of driving to the Arctic Circle, the friendly twenty-something Alaskan knitting furiously in the seat next to me pauses and says, "When you're driving up there, don't open your windows." In the dead of winter? I hadn't planned on cruising alfresco, but her warning to keep the glazing snugged against the weatherstripping is one I would take to heart. She continues: "If you leave 'em open, a fox is liable to jump right in. There are lots of rabid foxes up there, and they leap into your car and just Go. To. Town." And here I was, thinking that a curious bear or maybe an ill-placed moose in the road was going to be my biggest potential four-legged threat. In the wintery wilds of northern Alaska, even the cute little critters want to kill you.
