2006 Mercedes-benz E320 Cdi Sedan 4-door 3.2l on 2040-cars
Oxford, New Jersey, United States
Up for auction is this beautiful, nicely equipped and dealer maintained Mercedes diesel. The car has been always garaged both at home and at work. Traveling just 71K miles, this car is basically just broken in.
The leather interior is spotless and the burl walnut wood in perfect condition. The premium package was added which includes the glass sunroof, heated seats, Harmon-Kardon surround sound stereo system with in dash 6 cd, and navigation system. Of course, there is a litany of standard Mercedes comfort and convenience features such as dual zone climate control, speed sensitive wipers with rain sensor, auto dimming rear view mirror, cruise control, programmable remote locking system, rear electric sunshade, and integrated garage door opener to name a few. On the safety and security side, dual front/side airbags and head protection curtain, TeleAid emergency calling system, Electronic Stability Program (ESP), night security illumination. anti-theft alarm with engine immobilizer, and the list goes on. The 3.2L 24 valve turbocharged in-line 6 diesel consistently delivers 40 mpg cruising at 70-75mph and sprints from 0-60 in 6.6 seconds; thats's 1/10th of a second behind the gas powered E350! This isn't your Grandfather's 240D! Recent "D" service, brand new Michelins all around with alignment, new batteries (as a precaution...weren't needed), and water pump (was recommended by dealer to be changed); all done in preparation for the new owner! I believe in full disclosure so I also wish to bring attention to the only defects, which I have shown in the photos, are the flaking of the clear coat on a few of the wheels and a small chip on the hood. I've experienced this clear coat defect/ issue on the newer Mercedes models we have owned; never was much of an issue on the older cars. Our new car is here so it is time for this car to find a new home. Bid to own. Car listed for sale locally and I reserve the right to cancel the auction at anytime. Car can be seen and driven by appointment; located in Northwestern NJ. |

Race Recap: Singapore Grand Prix is about a safety car and submission
Mon, 23 Sep 2013The Singapore Formula One Grand Prix is the Monaco GP of the Orient - a weekend known more for its glamour and time-slot than on-track action, with a temporary circuit that punishes every mistake, usually terminally.
Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes-AMG Petronas got the best of Free Practice 1, opening the curtain on a possible resurgence of Silver Arrows performance. By the time qualifying was done, though, it was his teammate Nico Rosberg who lined up second on the grid, followed by Romain Grosjean with a beautiful performance in the Lotus, Mark Webber in the Infiniti Red Bull, and Hamilton all the way back in fifth. Behind them were Felipe Massa outqualifying Ferrari teammate Fernando Alonso, Jenson Button getting the McLaren into eighth, Daniel Ricciardo with another good Q3 effort to get into ninth, and the shocker of Esteban Gutiérrez getting his Sauber into the top ten for the first time this year.
At the front of the pack was Sebastian Vettel. Again. But he was only ahead of Rosberg by a single tenth of a second...
Chris Harris and David Coulthard wring out a Mercedes Fintail at the N"urburgring
Thu, 17 Oct 2013If there's one thing we've learned from the latest video from Drive, it's that the combination of Chris Harris and David Coulthard will produce some very quotable moments. Take this exchange, for example.
DC: "We are by some way the slowest."
CH: "But we're in a class of three cars, apparently."
2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG
Fri, 22 Feb 2013Make way for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG, the most wonderfully preposterous car I have ever driven.
There is absolutely no reason why any two-seat roadster should be fitted with a twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter V12 developing 621 horsepower and 738 pound-feet of torque, but I sure am glad that Mercedes-Benz doesn't see things that way.
Drop into the leather-lined cockpit of this $213,145 provocateur, floor the accelerator pedal as I did over and over again, and 60 miles per hour falls in a traction-limited 3.9 seconds. Top speed has been electronically held to 186 mph (this apparently saves Gulfstream jet owners from embarrassment). Forget the SL550 and SL63 AMG, the valets will trip over themselves attending to the tycoon driving this thoroughbred - it's the real deal.
