Engine Condition:

The vehicle runs today and drives strong and very smooth with the engine having a blown head gasket. There is oil in the coolant, but the engine oil is clear and fresh. Transmission oil is clear the transmission was replaced 12 months ago

There is small oil leak under the engine. A head gasket replacement is not uncommon during the potential 20 long life of these 3.2ltr 6 cylinder DOHV 24 valve 217 hp engines.  My local service people have maintained the car for the past 8 years. The issue is clear, this car starts and runs with power and efficiency. One could drive it, and enjoy the ride for a long time. Our asking pricing reflect these issues.

Minor rust spot low on drivers door. Hard to see.

Minor wheel curb rash.  The paint & clear coat are very good.

Driver's seat has minor surface issue low on the driver’s low left hip

This wagon has a folding 3rd rear seat that seats 3 people and a cargo net that can be easily folded to expand the storage capacity.  The 2nd row of seats has head rests not shown in pictures. There is a stone crack in the rear bumper and the front right headlight .

No engine warning lights displayed. All of the gauges work, except outside temperature gauge.

Engine lubrication Oil Mobil 1 synthetic. Used for the past 8 years.
This is one of the last 1994-1995 W124 wagons ever built. A good wagon is hard to find. Only about 4,000 were imported to the
US year 1994-95.

Mileage in the city 20mpg - Hwy 25mpg On the highway it gets approx. 475 miles on 1 tank of fuel.

If you love German cars, you will love this E320 Mercedes Benz. The German engineering is amazing and so comfortable and solid. This car sold for $47,000 in 1994. In today's dollars, that's close to $100,000.

You can keep this car “forever” with a minimum of care and expense. Nothing rides like a Mercedes Benz. Make me an offer I can't refuse.Feel free to ask any questions.

Consumer Reports selling its road-tested roadsters [w/video]

Thu, 31 Jan 2013

Here's a chance to acquire a celebrity-owned vehicles, and this time at a discount instead of a premium. So the celebrity in this case is Consumer Reports, that magazine that could be equally adored and abhored by car enthusiasts. CR buys all of its test vehicles and usually finds willing second owners within its own ranks, but its opening its small used-car lot to the public. On the forecourt are four roadsters: an automatic 2012 Audi TT 2.0 TFSI Quattro S-Tronic with 6,600 miles for $36,500, a manual 2012 BMW Z4 sDrive28i with 8,400 miles for $45,000, a manual 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK250 for $39,500 and a manual 2013 Porsche Boxster with 7,000 miles for $48,000.
Those numbers mean a savings of $9,000 to $10,000 before haggling - each car is listed with an "Asking price" so there could be some wiggle room if you show up with pockets full of dough and eyes full of serious intent. Since the money CR earns from the sales go back into the magazine's budget to buy more test cars, however, it probably won't take any oddball trades, so you can forget about getting any purchasing help from that track-day AMC Javelin project on blocks in the back yard.
The vehicles have been taken care of and spiffed up for sale; buyers will take delivery at the CR test track in East Haddam, Connecticut and get a tour of the facilities. While you're there they'll even take you on a lap around the track so you can feel how your car handles when driven by one of its testers. They will probably not help you with advice on which toaster and dehumidifier to buy - you'll still need to get a subscription for that. Have a look at the video below to see a day in the life of a CR test car.

Mercedes-Benz releases stunning first images of 2014 S-Class

Mon, 18 Mar 2013

The all-new 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, designated W222, is one of the most highly anticipated debuts of its model year. Every generation of the flagship sedan has broken new ground in technology and innovation for the entire industry, and the German automaker appears determined to raise the bar much further with its latest arrival as it promises to deliver "the best automobile in the world." Mercedes-Benz has just released nearly two dozen interior images of the new sedan, showing off style in design, craftsmanship in execution and pioneering advancements in technology.
Unlike all previous generations - the first S-Class officially arrived in 1972 - the 2014 model completely discards a traditional instrument cluster and replaces it with two high-resolution color displays in 8:3 format with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches (the outgoing model's gauges were a mix of digital and analog). The left unit displays traditional analog gauges (digitally, of course) while the right unit is reserved for infotainment and comfort settings with the automaker's all-new mBrace2 - a cloud-based entertainment and information delivery system that is rolling out this year.

2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class revealed again in 1:18 scale

Fri, 10 May 2013

There is plenty to look forward to when it comes to the 2014 Mercedes-Benz S-Class, but it could end up being a fairly anticlimactic reveal thanks to fully exposed spy shots, a leaked press photo and now images of a diecast version of the luxury sedan. Autoweek.nl has images showing a highly detailed 1:18 scale model of the redesigned S-Class that matches up with everything we've seen so far.
This isn't the first time a model car spoiled a new vehicle's reveal, as the 2014 Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class and 2013 SRT Viper were both unceremoniously revealed in toy form first. World Car Fans is reporting that the car 2014 S-Class will be officially unveiled on May 15, but at this point, all that's left to wonder about is the official on-sale date and what will be under the hood.
