ok, up for sale is a nice vintage Mercedes Benz E320. I like the word "vintage" instead of old, but... who really can't remember these E320's from 20 years, or so, ago. great model, great car. these started popping up a lot back then and I am sure they are one reason why we all know the M. Benz name. classic style, great ride, solid chassis and great engines. that is what they were all about; quality, ride and engineering at a premium price. and this car will not disappoint you ~!~ 20 years old and still, clearly, a Mercedes Benz from behind the wheel or 3 blocks away !!
clean, classy, comfy, safe and reliable. this car does everything right - including looking good for not a lot of money. engine is fine and the tranny goes right into drive and all through the gears. steering is a bit light (normal for then), but straight and precise. suspension moves the car along all conditions, around town or on the highway, in grand style. the brakes are strong, steady and confident. it is a shake, rattle and roll FREE car that is a pleasure to drive and be seen in.
OK, this is an older car with 160k miles and it is showing some signs of age. the headliner sags a bit behind the sunroof, drivers leather seat surface has wear tears, there is some rusty bits around the rear wheel well driver side (not so much at all other side), tires show normal but even wear, the wood inlay in the center console has some light cracks in the clear coat, there is a small trim piece missing from the front bumper left side, please see all photos carefully, I took all the good and bad shots I could.
but also remember: great ride and handling, cold a/c, no warning lights on, clean title, current emissions, full function interior, good gauges, working odometer, good glass, horn, wipers, lights, electric, steering, brakes, wheels, panels, sunroof, stereo, more. new battery, too. this car came from a nice home and was a second or third car driven sparingly about 8000 miles a year. bid and buy... now you can drive it to your home. this E320 is as shown and at my home. please feel free to call, email or just come by and say hello. inspections are welcome.

Mercedes-Benz GLA Concept gets mobbed in China
Sat, 20 Apr 2013If the reception it received at the Shanghai Motor Show is any judge of marketplace acceptance, Mercedes-Benz has a hit on its hands in the form of the GLA Concept. And we can understand why - we're quickly becoming fans of Mercedes' recent styling language, as defined by new models like the CLA and this GLA Concept.
The big news on the exterior front are the headlamp clusters, which have frickin' laser beams attached to their foreheads embedded inside that are capable of projecting videos and images on a screen. Plus, a pair of video cameras are mounted on the roof that can be used to capture driving excitement or removed and taken with you. How cool is that? We just hope they have a substantial locking mechanism to prevent would-be thievery...
If the exterior is mostly ready for production, with a few of the more outlandish elements moved to the trash bin - like, for instance, laser-beam headlamps and removable action cams - the interior is a true custom job that screams concept loud and clear. There are all kinds of jewel-like finishes inside, along with transparent surfaces showing what looks like metal latticework underneath and some awfully thick looking leather with massive exterior stitching done by hand similar to what you'd find on a baseball glove.
Mercedes-AMG GT attacks Circuit of the Americas
Fri, 12 Sep 2014Mercedes-Benz is having a banner year with its Formula One team. Through 2014, the constructor has 454 championship points; ahead of its nearest competitor (Red Bull-Renault) by a margin of 182 tally marks. We're sure they can almost taste the champagne.
It's fitting then, and a little big cocky in a good way, that Mercedes has released a video of its newest sports car at an F1 venue. In this case, the car is the lovely Mercedes-AMG GT S, and the racetrack is Austin's Circuit of the Americas.
Having seen the official photo set and scratched the surface of the technical specifications earlier this week, we're excited to finally hear the thing run. As you might guess, the deployment of 503 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque from the twin-turbo V8 is a motivating experience. Crank up your volume, and hit that play button. (Oh, and Mercedes shot the thing in 4K, too, so those of you with expensive televisions/monitors should take heed to the settings.)
AMG-powered Aston Martins still years away
Mon, 16 Sep 2013After flirting for several years, Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin have finally tied the knot. Just don't expect to see any offspring to result from the union for at least three or four years.
This according to Auto Express, which spoke with Daimler chief Dr. Dieter Zetsche at the Frankfurt Motor Show last week. AE reports that a new range of AMG-developed turbocharged V8s, transmissions and electrical components will make their way into the successors to the current V8 Vantage and DB9, but that these models are still a few years off.
Purists might balk at the thought of a Mercedes-powered Aston holding true to the brand's heritage. But while David Brown (for whom the DB range is named) may have steered clear of shoehorning in Detroit muscle into his cars, the entirety of the company's current range is powered by engines borrowing technology from Ford, and that arrangement seems to have worked well for Aston until now. And if you're still skeptical, look no further than Pagani and its AMG-sourced engines and you should have all the proof you need that the new relationship between Daimler and Aston could be a success.
