2008 Mercedes-benz Cls550 4-door 5.5l **37,000 Miles** on 2040-cars
Gallatin, Tennessee, United States
I'm selling my immaculate 2008 Mercedes CLS 550. It is black on black with almost every option available. It was purchased from the original owner from California. The tail lights are factory OEM tinted not aftermarket and will also come with the original lights. The wheels are a custom two piece design made by Radenergie motorsports. These wheels were custom made specifically for this car and retail for over $6,000.
Exterior: Paint and body are in near mint condition. Interior: Interior is in near mint condition and was a non-smoker's car. Mechanically and electronically perfect, absolutely no issues. Options: Premium II Package (active bi-xenon headlights, keyless-go, heated and vented seats, etc.) AMG Styling Package (exhaust, front and rear spoiler, side skirts, steering wheel shift paddles) Multimedia Package (navigation, Sirius radio, iPod integration) It was previously owned by a family since new and all service was done by the dealership. It has been stored in a climate controlled garage since new. The pictures do not do it justice, you will not be disappointed; it is the cleanest CLS 550 on eBay. The car has a clean carfax and can provide on request. There are no trouble or error codes when the car is started; everything works as it should. Car can be seen locally, no joy rides. I don't need any help selling the; no trades. It is for sale locally and I have the right to end the auction at anytime. |

Why all of this year's F1 noses are so ugly [w/video]
Fri, 31 Jan 2014If you're a serious fan of Formula One, you already know all about The Great Nosecone Conundrum of 2014. Those given to parsing each year's F1 regulations predicted the strong possibility of the so-called "anteater" noses as far back as early December 2013. Highly suggestive visual evidence first came after Caterham's crash test in early January, with further proof coming as soon as Williams showed a rendering of the FW36 challenger for this year's championship. That car earned a name that wasn't nearly so kind as "anteater."
Casual followers of the sport - or anyone who gets the feed from this site - probably don't know what's happening, except to wonder why the current year's F1 cars are led by appendages that would make Cyrano de Bergerac feel a whole lot better about himself.
The short answer to the question of ugsome F1 noses is "FIA regulations and safety." The reason there are various kinds of ugsome noses is simpler: engineers. The same boffins who have given us advances including carbon fiber monocoques, six-wheeled cars, double diffusers and Drag Reduction Systems are bred to do everything in their power to exploit every possible freedom in the regulations to make the cars they're building go faster - the caveat being that those advances have to work within the overall philosophy of the whole car.
Chris Harris and David Coulthard wring out a Mercedes Fintail at the N"urburgring
Thu, 17 Oct 2013If there's one thing we've learned from the latest video from Drive, it's that the combination of Chris Harris and David Coulthard will produce some very quotable moments. Take this exchange, for example.
DC: "We are by some way the slowest."
CH: "But we're in a class of three cars, apparently."
Mercedes working on new inline-six engines
Mon, 11 Nov 2013Mercedes-Benz will make a return to the inline-six-cylinder engine game, according to a report from the UK's AutoCar. It's not clear what's prompting the phasing out of the current array of V6s.
We'll see the first inline-six from Mercedes in next-generation E-Class, set to debut in 2016. Following that, it'll arrive as part of a mid-cycle refresh for the C-Class in 2017. What's particularly special about the new inline-six is its modular nature, which will allow Mercedes to eventually spinoff three- and four-cylinder options, with the three-pot arriving alongside the new inline-six.
In other news, AutoCar uncovered some details on the next C-Class AMG, which will ditch its excellent 6.2-liter, AMG V8 in favor of a 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8, although we've already told you about that. What we didn't know at the time, though, was that the 4.0-liter would be paired first with a new, seven-speed AMG Speedshift transmission and offer all-wheel drive. AC also reports that a nine-speed Speedshift is in the works.
