Immaculate Benz convertible, with 73,800 original miles. Silver on charcoal leather, with black soft top. I've garaged kept it and you can tell the previous owners did as well. No accidents, clean carfax/carcheck. Roof is in incredible shape, and there are no leaks. Recent oil change with thousands of miles until Service A or B are due. I'm not the first owner, but was able to obtain the service history from MB, so no worries or surprises. Amazing gas mileage for a V6, car usually averages in the low-mid 20's city/hwy. Incredible handling and road manners, even with the 320, the car has unbelievable power when needed! I've owned a lot of cars, and this one is the most fun to drive on the highway. Both the heat and AC work like they should! Nice and warm, and super cold. The only physical flaws are small chips in the paint, and "curb scuffing" of the rims. The car has recently had Over $4k in routine maintenance and repairs done to it, ( I have all the receipts to prove it.) New front struts, brakes, and 4 new Goodyear Eagle Sport tires all around. The power convertible top system has also been completely overhauled with new limit switches, hydraulic lines flushed and new fluid put in, and a pneumatic pump installed. This is an incredibly expensive repair that had to be done, so the bonus is that you won't have to worry about this for years to come! I was also able to get my hands on the maintenance records from Mercedes from when the car arrived in the US, so there is a 90% complete mechanical history/paper trail for this car too. Always a VERY nice thing to have when buying a pre-owned Benz. (The only malfunction on the car is the Tele Aid emergency phone system. HOWEVER, since the car is an 04, and the cell phone system is analog, it wouldn't work anyway since the US switched to digital in the mid 2000's. MB charges about 1500-2k to switch the phone system to digital. It's really not worth fixing. Also, the headlight washers are not working. Not sure if it's just a fuse or something else.) 2017 Mercedes-AMG C63 Coupe looks quick, mean
Tue, Apr 21 2015The latest Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe isn't even on the road yet. Still, the folks at AMG are already working at tweaking the two-door into a future high-performance variant as the natural challenger for the BMW M4. While this model is heavily camouflaged all the way around, an aggressive face akin to the C63 sedan is already pretty easy to spot. Both cars feature air dams with big openings to feed cool air to the 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 under the hood. Compared to the previously spied, standard version of the two-door C-Class, the AMG looks to feature wider front fenders, too. Despite the concealment, other visible high-performance touches include lower side sills and larger brakes peeking out behind the wheels. Of course, the four exhaust pipes sticking out the back are a big giveaway of the coupe's intended high-speed purpose, too. Like the C63 sedan, expect a choice of tunes of the V8 to be available with either 469 horsepower or the more powerful S with 503 hp. The wait to see the two-door without all of this camo shouldn't be too long, either. An earlier report suggests that both the standard coupe and AMG versions could debut at the upcoming Frankfurt Motor Show in September. Related Video:
Aston Martin and Mercedes-AMG formalize technical partnership
Thu, 19 Dec 2013The development of a partnership between Mercedes-Benz and Aston Martin has been a long time coming. The news dates back to 2008, and over the five years since was supposed to lead to a rejuvenation of both the Maybach and Lagonda brands. That program ultimately fell apart, but the tie-in was forged afresh in July when the two automakers signed a letter of intent over a renewed partnership. And now that partnership has been formalized.
In a deal just announced, Mercedes-AMG will build a new V8 engine for Aston Martin that will power a new generation of luxury GTs for the British marque, presumably to replace the 4.7-liter V8 in the Vantage. The relationship appears to be similar to the one already in place between AMG and Pagani, only in this case, will involve Daimler taking as much as a five-percent stake in Aston Martin and an observer seat on Aston's board.
The technical partnership is also set to lead to the supply of electric and electronic systems, and could incorporate "additional areas of cooperation in the future." Whether that will include a fresh attempt at reviving Lagonda remains to be seen, as does the future of Aston's long-serving, Ford-based 6.0-liter V12 engine.
