Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG
"A boosted Benz with 911 performance."For Sale is my 2002 Mercedes-Benz C32 AMG. For those who might not know AMG is Mercedes' in house performance tuning division. This car is equipped with a 3.2-liter, twin-ignition, 3-valve 90-degree V-6 with an output of 354 bhp at 6100 rpm and 332 lb.-ft. of torque at 4400 rpm. The car boasts a 0-60 time of just 5.1 seconds and a quick 1/4mile time of 13.6 seconds. This fine example of the car is in great shape with about 129,000 miles and is painted in a beautiful Bordeaux Red Metallic. The interior charcoal leather with Merlot inserts. It's been taken excellent care of as well. Some notable mentions to the maintenance is the set of BRAND NEW Dunlop high performance tires. They have less than 3,000miles on them! The oil and filter changes were done frequently, and with Mobil 1 Synthetic oil. The car has made many long trips and is super comfortable and reliable. (just made a 1,000mile round trip end of June with no problems at all!) This C32 is fully equipped also with power windows and locks as well as power memory seats. It's got a BOSE stereo with am/fm/wb, 6cd changer, cassette, and an added in satellite radio (hard wired into factory stereo, sounds great). I'm sure there are other things about the car I'm forgetting to mention so feel free to ask any and all questions. Thank You |

Watch this perfectly nice Mercedes get crushed by a front-end loader
Mon, 25 Mar 2013In a world where the YouTube hoax continues to thrive, it's hard to know what to think of this little vid, but here are the facts as we know them: a coupe that looks like a first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLK gets crushed by a giant front-end loader. There you have it.
Our questions arise in the aftermath - we know industrial resource machinery is heavy, but the Benz gets squashed so flat we wonder if someone's trying to play a joke on us. We hear that the white coupe may have been the heavy-equipment operator's foreman's car, but who knows? The on-camera interview seems awfully conveniently placed, yes? See for yourself in the video below and then leave us your thoughts in Comments.
Aston Martin signs Letter of Intent for technical partnership with AMG
Thu, 25 Jul 2013A little over two months ago came reports that Daimler and Aston Martin were in talks, again, about "supply and technical-cooperation agreements." The next step has been taken with Aston Martin announcing that it has signed a Letter of Intent that looks "towards a technical partnership" with Mercedes-AMG GmbH, and the two companies aiming to have definitive agreements done by year's end.
While it will get to use certain electric and electronic components from AMG, the true golden egg for the maker of the Vanquish will be the ability to develop a new line of "bespoke V8 powertrains" that will be fitted to "a new generation of models." In return for opening up the larder, Daimler will get a non-voting stake of up to five percent of Aston Martin.
Nothing else is being said about the tie-up for the moment, but there's a press release below with a few more details.
Daimler employees can set email to auto-delete during vacation
Mon, 18 Aug 2014The Internet has shrunk the world in terms of the way people communicate by making it possible to send an email from Oslo and have it show up in Cleveland almost immediately. But that instant contact has wrecked the work/life balance for many. They get home from a long day at the office, yet they can never fully put their feet up and relax because another hour or more of checking and replying to emails awaits. However, German automotive giant Daimler is putting an end to that churn, at least while its employees are on vacation.
About 100,000 Daimler employees in Germany are eligible to opt-in to a new program called Mail on Holiday, according to The Atlantic. When the workers go on vacation, they can switch it on, and the service auto-deletes all of their incoming email. "Our employees should relax on holiday and not read work-related emails," said Wilfried Porth, board member for human resources, to The Financial Times as cited by The Atlantic.
Mail on Holiday puts a thumb on the scale of work/life balance in favor of a little more free time. The system means that Daimler employees shouldn't even be tempted to check their email on vacation because there's nothing there - and it also avoids them coming back from a relaxing holiday only to find a mailbox packed full of hundreds of unread messages. These days, people are absolutely obsessed with their work, often to the detriment of their health, not to mention spending time with their families and friends. On one hand, Mail on Holiday sounds like the sort of vacation breakthrough we'd need to truly unplug and unwind, but on the other hand, it makes our skin crawl just thinking about the lack of communication. What's your perspective? Have your say in Comments.
