Experience the New York Auto Show by drone

The Autoblog team recently returned from wildly running around the Javits Center to cover all the news and debuts at the New York Auto Show. Sometimes, it's nice to take a more serene look at the exhibition floor, though, and the event's organizers are providing that exact opportunity by flying a drone through the hall. Combined with the down-tempo music, this clip feels like a form of automotive meditation. If you're going to miss the show in the Big Apple, the drone also provides a good overview at the exhibition floor, especially at the stands from Lexus, Buick, Dodge, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota and BMW. Plus, it's a fun way to see some vehicles from a completely different angle than they ever appear on the road. I'm senior editor Greg Migliore and this is your Autoblog Minute Weekly Recap. FCA reached a tentative labor agreement with UAW leadership. The major focus of the new deal reportedly includes: the eventual elimination of the two-tier pay scale [00:00:30] and pooling worker health care. Now that a leadership agreement is in place, the deal will be sent to FCA's rank-and-file. FCA has about 36,000 hourly employees. We got a first look at the interior and exterior of the 10th-generation Civic. Honda expects the new sedan to dominate the C-segment when it hits dealerships later this fall. Civic coupe, five-door hatchback, Si and Type R will all come later. The 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show is in the books and there was a lot of news to get excited about. [00:01:00] Porsche introduced a fully electric concept car in the Mission E. If they make this car, Porsche could give Tesla nightmares. We also saw SUVs from Jaguar and Bentley. There were two beautiful Italian convertibles from Ferrari and Lamborghini. Meanwhile, Mercedes introduced a concept of their own in the IAA - a vehicle that experiments with adaptable aerodynamics. Mercedes previews GLC ahead of June 17 reveal

Mercedes has confirmed that it will unveil its new GLC crossover on June 17, releasing this preview sketch and a few details to give us an idea of what to expect. Set to replace the outgoing GLK, the GLC will slot in between the GLA and GLE (nee M-Class) in the Silver Star automaker's growing sport-ute lineup. Its nameplate shifts to better align with the C-Class sedan and the SLC roadster that's set to replace the SLK. The crossover's design was previewed in slant-back form as the Concept GLC Coupe in Shanghai a couple of months ago, but as you can see from this sketch, it'll initially come with a more conventional roofline. In announcing the livestream of its reveal, Daimler revealed that the GLC will feature a multi-chamber air suspension, Dynamic Select transmission control, and 4Matic all-wheel drive. It also promises to consume 19 percent less fuel than the GLK it replaces. World Premiere Mercedes-Benz GLC With the introduction of the new GLC on June 17th, Mercedes-Benz presents the second generation of its mid-range SUV. The GLC retains its predecessor's outstanding off-road characteristics and combines them with an all-new design. What is more, the GLC takes comfort and agility to a whole new level: With the innovative multi-chamber air suspension AIR BODY CONTROL, unique to the segment, DYNAMIC SELECT and the 4MATIC permanent all-wheel drive, the new GLC is tailor-made for all driving situations on and off the road. State-of-the-art assistance systems and improved energy efficiency further support the new GLC's claim of setting a new benchmark in this segment. Compared to its predecessor, fuel consumption was lowered by up to 19%.
