Up for sale is my M-B CL63 AMG. I’ve enjoyed this luxury car for a few short years but don’t drive it much. Therefore, I have decided to sell it. It looks and drives excellent! If you are in the market for a CL63 or CL65 AMG, then you know about the level of quality and performance from this German automobile. It’s probably too much car for most people, but then again, why not splurge on yourself! This CL63 AMG has the Lorinser Kit installed and turns heads wherever you travel. I also installed a clear bra over the front bumper, entire hood, & side mirrors. It has been lowered with ghost links. As you can see from the photos, it is dressed with tasteful aftermarket HRE 22” wheels. The wheels have some mild road rash but still look great. If you know, about wheels, then you know just how much added extra cost that includes. All four Michelin Pilot Sport tires ($475-$500 each) are practically new! Unfortunately, I don’t have the original wheels available. There is one small paint chip above the right front wheel that you might be able to see on the photos. Maybach lost upwards of $500k on each vehicle sold
Wed, 08 Feb 2012Daimler is shuttering Maybach in 2013 after seven years of production. In that time, the company's ultra-ultra-luxury arm managed to sell just 3,000 units, and CAR reports Daimler lost somewhere around $500,000 on each and every one of them.
Even with a ludicrous price tag of over $370,000 for an "entry" Maybach 57, the brand couldn't quite recoup the dizzying $1.33 billion Daimler poured into it since its (re)inception. Rumors ignited over a possible tie up with Aston Martin that would have resulted in a range of new and attractive models, but Daimler has instead decided to snuff out Maybach altogether.
We can hardly blame them.
Man makes record-setting drive across the US in 28 hours, 50 minutes

Whether that's cramming the most hot dogs down your gullet, running a faster mile, or yes, driving across the United States, odds are that there's someone out there wants to eat more, run faster or drive harder. Speaking of that last example, the record for driving from a set location on the east coast, in particular the Red Ball Garage in Manhattan to the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach, CA, has been one that has fascinated gearheads since a guy named Cannonball Baker made the trek from New York to LA in 53 hours, 30 minutes, in 1933.
The competition saw its glory days when Car and Driver's Brock Yates came up with the Cannonball Baker Sea-To-Shining Sea Memorial Trophy Dash (more affectionately known as the Cannonball Run), although the record was most recently set by Alex Roy and his 32-hour, seven-minute trek behind the wheel of a BMW M5 in 2006. Now, there's a new champion, who made the trip from east to west in a scarcely imaginable 28 hours and 50 minutes, behind the wheel of a 2004 Mercedes-Benz CL55 AMG. That's works out to an average speed of 98 miles per hour over the course of 2,813.7 miles.

Mon, 25 Mar 2013In a world where the YouTube hoax continues to thrive, it's hard to know what to think of this little vid, but here are the facts as we know them: a coupe that looks like a first-generation Mercedes-Benz CLK gets crushed by a giant front-end loader. There you have it.
Our questions arise in the aftermath - we know industrial resource machinery is heavy, but the Benz gets squashed so flat we wonder if someone's trying to play a joke on us. We hear that the white coupe may have been the heavy-equipment operator's foreman's car, but who knows? The on-camera interview seems awfully conveniently placed, yes?
