Just in time for toolin' around in a convertible.  This MX-5 is a super fun, fast and clean car.  Exterior is a slick silver color while the interior is black with black leather seats.  No tears in the leather.  It has Cruise Control, which is operated from the steering wheel.  The car is from a smoke-free environment.

I have upgraded the stereo system to a Pioneer DVD player, cd, radio, usb, etc.  The steering wheel can control the Volume, Mode, and Mute also.  The speakers are original Bose.  The Pioneer system can hook up to an IPhone or Android phone and has many apps to choose from.  The stereo also has Audio Pilot (adjusts the volume automatically, like when the top is up or down etc.)

I have both the original Passenger and Driver side "MX-5" lettered floor mats.

There are no dents on the exterior.  All systems are running great.  I had a Clutch Kit put in recently and the Tires have about 80% tread life left.

I am the 2nd owner of this car.  I bought it about 2 and 1/2 years ago.  I don't want to sell it, but I had a total hip replacement in December that went bad and I physically can NOT get into the car.

I do have a bank loan on it, so I could give you the car then, but you would need to wait for 2 weeks for the title (from Bank of America)

Mazda's Hofu plant builds its ten-millionth car

Wed, 28 Aug 2013

Ten million is a lot no matter which way you cut it, and no matter what you're talking about: Ten million dollars, ten million miles, ten million people... certainly ten million cars. And that's the milestone that Mazda's Hofu plant in Yamaguchi prefecture of Japan has just achieved.
The Hofu facility has been in operation since 1982, and was supplemented with a second plant on the same site ten years later. Hofu reached a million units built in 1986 and five million in 2002. But with production now at 482,100 units per year, it took less than twelve years to double that previous milestone.
The magic ten-millionth car was a new Mazda6 (known locally as the Atenza), which is built at Hofu Plant No. 2, while Hofu Plant No. 1 gears up for the new Mazda3 (aka Axela). Scroll down below for a related press release.

Honda may recall up to 1M vehicles for airbag issue, following Toyota's lead

Mon, 16 Jun 2014

It seems Toyota won't be the only one recalling the faulty Takata airbag inflators for long. Honda insiders in Japan claim that the company is getting close to announcing its own worldwide campaign that would begin before the end of June.
Unnamed sources close to Honda in Japan tell Automotive News that the company is pursuing an internal investigation into possibly affected models and is working with Takata to gather more information. They claim that it could involve even more than the 1.14 million cars worldwide that the automaker covered under the first recall for the problem in April 2013, including 561,000 vehicles in the US.
Toyota jumpstarted this process last week when it recalled over 2 million cars worldwide, including 844,277 in the US. Soon after, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration began a preliminary evaluation into the issue following six reported incidents, and started assembling data about potentially affected models from Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Nissan, Chrysler. NHTSA also began investigating Takata itself.

Top Gear recounts the fiery demise of the Mazda Furai

Mon, 02 Dec 2013

This past September we reported on Top Gear's destruction of the Mazda Furai, one of the finest concept cars to ever grace an auto show stage. It turns out that the Furai, which was burned nearly beyond recognition at the hands of the British magazine, was actually destroyed back in 2008, and that the entire thing had been covered up for five long years.
Now, a few months after publishing that heart-wrenching composite of a half-baked Furai (shown above), the lads at TG have published their account of just what resulted in a priceless concept car being transformed into a smoking hulk on a Suffolk runway. Click over to read the full story about just what happened, along with pictures of the Furai before, during and after the inferno.
