1974 Lotus Super 7 Seven
A
Beautiful Modern Recreation
Professionally built
sports car... in authentic British Racing Green & Lotus
Yellow livery, set up in authentic right hand drive...in the
1990’s by: Conley Classics, an established British tuning, specialty &
parts shop in Warwichshire, England. The project was
assembled at Conley using mostly authentic Super 7
components form Triumph, Caterham, Lotus, Smith, Connolly
leather. MAterials are of the finest quality Alloy, Fiber,
Leather, steel. The total miles since the restoration and
rebuilding has only 600 miles.
The overall Lotus Super 7
was built to look vintage in every respect. At the same time
have enough room, updated mechanicals, electricals, etc to
be a regular driver.
Body is near mint, factory
correct looking, with very minor blemishes around hood form
being removed. Paint and the alloy finish are stunning!
Fitment is excellent, interior is an alloy monocoque covered
in Connolly leather seats, vinyl and carpet.
Mechanical are Spitfire
donor, 4 cylinder motor… tunes with header (nice throaty
sound) and Weber performance carburetor (very peppy and
quick), upgraded ignition, radiator, starter, brakes all new
and upgraded. Starts, first turn of the key (I know, it’s
British… Still no smoke or leaks!) Shifts smoothly in all 4
gears up and down. Brakes work excellent can lock up all 4.
Electricals and smith
gauges were used form a donor Triumph Spitfire. Comes with
full wiring harness made to match steering column, dash and
gauges. Turn signals, lights, wipers, ignition and more all
work as factory originals.
5 Wheels and tires are all
new and hold the road well. Lights, lenses, chrome and
badg’ing are all in beautiful condition.
Size wise: I am 6 feet 2”
tall, weigh 215 pounds and I fit nicely into this Lotus. The
leg room is very good with a little extra for those taller.
Seatbelts are modern 3 way, easy in and easy out.
She is NOT a race car that is all
messed up and not legal. This Lotus
recreation is very well sorted, detailed and set up as a
comfortable road 2 seat sports car. Excellent for touring,
dating, cruising, etc.
This car was a trade in
for one of our restored Land Cruisers. We did not build it
or import it. Still she comes with a Clear US title to be
left open for you to fill in the numbers.

Lotus is recalling 860 vehicles after discovering that the oil cooler hose could detach from its fitting. Should the hose separate, it could spray oil on one of the lightweight car's tires, giving new meaning to the phrase "sudden loss of grip." The other case is, believe or not, more dire, as the spraying oil could hit the engine and ignite. Of course, neither situation is desirable, hence the recall. The vast majority of the affected vehicles (780 of the 860) are the 2008 to 2011 Elise and Exige, built between November 2007 and July 2011. Another 80 Evora S coupes from 2011, manufactured between September 2010 and September 2011, are also included in the recall. All repairs will, naturally, be completed free of charge. In the Elise/Exige's case, that means replacing the hose fittings, while the affected Evoras will get a new hose assembly.
Ladies and gentlemen, the new era of Lotus as an EV maker begins with this, the Eletre. It takes elements we've seen on the Evija battery-electric hypercar and Emira ICE sports car, wraps them in a larger package, jacks them up, and throws in a lot of new tech for the brand and the market. Let's start with size, which is the easy bit. The Eletre is 201 inches long on a 118.9-inch wheelbase, about 79 inches wide, and 64 inches high. Every one of those dimensions puts the Lotus within a couple of inches of the Aston Martin DBX: the EV being a little longer, with a slightly shorter wheelbase, a little wider, and a roof a couple of inches lower. For us, the side view most closely represents the form we had in mind based on recent spy shots. The front is intense, the yellow of the hero car making the greatest contrast with the polygonal void below. The lights above the leading edge are DRLs and turn signals, the main beams are recessed into that void, hugging the upper edge. The rear, with its Lotus script and full-width light bar fading into triangular intakes along the sides, clearly comes from the sports cars. It can glow in four colors depending on what it needs to communicate, and forms a connection with the light bar across the instrument panel. The SUV proportions and black roof are still playing tricks with our eyes, though; we can't help feeling the Eletre carries its bulk up high. The wheels are an optional set of 23-inchers that hide optional 10-piston (ten!) calipers gripping ceramic composite rotors. Lotus isn't ready to divulge specific battery capacity and motor outputs between those wheels. All we're told is the pack is more than 100 kWh and output starts at 600 horsepower. Every Eletre is all-wheel-drive, with a motor on each axle. The 800-volt electrical architecture can handle up to 350-kW fast-charging, 20 minutes at a station at that charge rate restoring 248 WLTP miles of the Eletre's estimated 373-mile range in WLTP testing. EPA numbers will come eventually. Lotus says the hauler will get to 62 miles per hour in under 3 seconds and hit a top speed of 161 mph. The electronic side mirror housings each contain three cameras, one camera for the rear views, one to help stitch a 360-degree overhead view, and one to help enable self-driving. The charge port is on the front left fender, but keen eyes might notice more shutlines atop the front wheel arches.
The Lotus Exige is once of the most focused race cars that you can purchase on the market today, but for those individuals who desire to track the mid-engined racer, Lotus has released its latest no-frills, all-go racecar: the Exige V6 Cup. The Exige Cup features a supercharged 3.5-liter V6 making 346 horsepower, enabling the 2,380-pound race car to get from zero to 62 mph in just 3.8 seconds. Power is put to the road with the help of Lotus Dynamic Performance Management, which allows for Touring, Sport and Race settings for the engine. The Exige V6 Cup also features revised aerodynamics in the front fascia and rear diffuser, and it rides on a fully adjustable suspension that reaches the road with special wheels wrapped in Pirelli P-Zero Trofeo tires.
