1981 Lincoln Town Car Signature Series This 1981 Lincoln Town Car was owned by my grandpa who worked as a Ford Mechanic for over 30 years and took very good care of the vehicle. The vehicle has had a new fuel pump installed, and has no known mechanical issues. The vehicle is a metallic brown and has a brown vinyl top. The paint is in great condition but has multiple color matched paint touch ups along the rear quarter panels of the vehicle from over the years. There are no tears of any sort in the top, but there is some slight discoloration that is barely visible. There is only a small amount of rusting but painted metal directly behind the rear tire which is visible in one of the photos. The vehicle has a brown cloth interior, and there are no rips or tears in the fabric, however the headliner is falling. I do have clear headliner pins to reattach. The all digital dash is fully functioning with all the buttons present and functioning. The 5.0L V-8 302 engine runs strong and has a new battery. There are 103,392 miles on this vehicle. This vehicle has been garage kept and driven very little in the winter months as my grandparents wintered in Texas. This vehicle is available for inspection by any interested buyers and is encouraged. Lincoln takes to the Super Bowl with Twitter schizophrenia
Fri, 01 Feb 2013Lincoln has officially pulled off the wraps on its ad for this year's Super Bowl. As you may recall, the company invited people to send in their tweets to help craft the spot's story line with Jimmy Fallon in the director's chair. The company chose five tweets and ran with them, and the result is, well, about as focused as your average online comment thread. We do get plenty of shots of the all-new Lincoln MKZ, as well as at least one comment on the interior leather's suppleness.
Do we learn a single thing about the brand's new honey? Nope. But there's a turtle crossing, a band of bikers, a German farming student and herd of alpacas. Mostly, the ad just makes us tired. Lincoln MKC prototype spied out testing
Wed, 20 Mar 2013As was the case with the Lincoln MKZ, it appears that Lincoln isn't wasting any time getting its newest model transformed from concept to production form. We just saw the MKC Concept earlier this year at the Detroit Auto Show, and based on these spy shots, it looks like the final touches are being put in place for the 2014 Lincoln MKC crossover.
Sharing its platform with the Ford Escape, we can definitely see some similarities between these two compact crossovers when it comes to the roofline and daylight opening, but through the heavy camouflage, Lincoln's signature split-wing grille can easily be seen and it looks like the concept's taillights will also make it to reality. On the disappointing side, it looks like the integrated exhaust outlets are being ditched for some round outlets, and we can't tell if the production version will keep the Audi-like clamshell rear liftgate.
