If you've ever driven one of these powerful, yet responsive vehicles, you know they are destined to become a classic of American automobile design.  This is a truly outstanding low mileage example that you could look years to find--even though it needs minor driver side fender tip and driver side bumper work done (Finish Master matched paint is included).  The interior is extremely clean, well cared for and of truly striking design.  The impressive factory chrome wheels are perfect with Michelin tires with plenty of tread left.  The glimmering paint sparkles and testifies this Lincoln has spent its life in a garage.  Engine runs great, transmission shifts properly and air condition is cold.  This car would drive anywhere right now BUT NEEDS REBUILDABLE TITLE CONVERTED through the State of Florida rebuilt procedure.  If you are unfamiliar with this time consuming process, please do so before you bid.  Until the title is successfully converted to a "rebuilt" title, THIS CAR CAN NOT BE LEGALLY DRIVEN ON PUBLIC ROADS.  This is a unique beautiful vehicle that needs a little attention.  I am selling because I have acquired too many cars for the space I have at my home.  Vehicle is sold "as is" with no warranties expressed or implied.  YOUR PERSONAL INSPECTION IS RECOMMENDED!  Payment will be by cash, in person, or by bank transfer.  Car will be released only after completed bank transfer is confirmed received.  Car can remain for up to one week after auction end, unless prior arrangements are made.  Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs, however I will assist shipper when he arrives to pick up car.

Lincoln prepping MKZ re-launch?

Thu, 04 Apr 2013

Launching an all-new car is no easy task. Case in point is the 2013 Lincoln MKZ, introduced with the fanfare of a major nationwide marketing campaign, including expensive Super Bowl ads, just as Ford was curbing production over potential quality issues. The resulting mess was nothing short of a nightmare for any automaker - customers visiting dealerships looking for cars that hadn't been delivered yet. Disappointed buyers walked out of Lincoln retailers without new keys in their hands, or switched to a competing brand to fill empty spaces in their driveways.
The impact was painful, as Lincoln's sales in January and February of this year were among the lowest it has recorded in more than a quarter century. Even though March looked a bit brighter, with the supply crisis reportedly over (there are 3,000 units in transit and production is approaching 200 units per day) the automaker is reportedly studying the feasibility of giving its pivotal MKZ the launch it originally deserved.
According to TheDetroitBureau.com, putting the MKZ back on consumer's radar could cost Ford tens of millions of dollars, but that kind of investment may be warranted if potential buyers have forgotten about the new model... or worse, if they have forgotten about Lincoln.

RWD Lincolns are coming, fate depends partly on MKZ success

Tue, 04 Dec 2012

The product portfolio at Lincoln may seem a bit sparse at the moment, but if a report is to be believed, new products are on the way. TheDetroitBureau.com spoke with sources at Lincoln and Ford, who claimed the American premium brand is working on, perhaps more than one, rear-wheel-drive vehicle.
Lincoln would likely platform-share with the next-generation Ford Mustang to develop those RWD offerings in the early going. Moving forward, the report indicates that Lincoln could take the lead on other rear-drive projects in the future. As the RWD architecture continues to take shape, "most or all" of the front-wheel-drive portfolio will also be offered with all-wheel drive as an option, ala Audi.
But wait, there's more! The report also suggests that a replacement for the full-size MKS is on the way, as well as a new Navigator and a luxury crossover based on the current Ford Escape.

Lincoln unveils its Black Label Collection at Pebble Beach

Thu, 15 Aug 2013

With the posh surroundings of Monterey, CA during the Pebble Beach week as a backdrop, Lincoln has unveiled is new personalization and luxury service brand, called Lincoln Black Label. Following in the footsteps of programs like BMW Individual, Range Rover Autobiography, and many more, Black Label is strategic strike, aimed at upping Lincoln's brand cachet while luring new customers into the fold. Speaking about this at the Black Label's introduction in California Thursday, Jim Farley, Ford's executive vice president of Global Marketing, Sales and Service and Lincoln, told members of the media that "At Lincoln, our flagship is, you get to choose. That's our flagship."
While Black Label customers will benefit from concierge-like service from their dealers - both during the sale process and throughout ownership - the focus of the introduction is strongly focused on interior design.
Lincoln chose its current MKZ sedan and its MKC Concept crossover (seen in the inset image) as the debutants for Black Label treatment for good reason: the well-received MKC points the way forward for Lincoln styling as a whole, and the MKZ will be the first production vehicle to receive the option of the high-zoot interior design. We're told that eventually, Black Label treatment will be available for the full Lincoln lineup, but the MKZ will be the initial recipient, and not until late in 2014 according to the company's current projections.
