200K original miles. This Range Rover GD has been travelled, and still has lots of life left in it. It would make a really neat addition to anyone's Rover stable.

Completely stock, with the addition of SAFARI PACKAGE ( not all are still installed, but ALL accessories are included in the sale if desired): full-basket roof rack w/ pair of HELLA 500 auxiliary lights, factory side steps, LR tailight guards, factory LR wraparound brushguard w/ HELLA 500 foglights, and Factory Tow package. Additionally, this GD has HELLA H4 headlights, BILSTEIN heavy-duty struts front and rear, Alternator shield, engine heater connection outlet, PIAA auxiliary lights, a new alternator, water pump and ABS pump.

Always lived in Northern California since sold new in 1990. Still lots of life left on the car. NO check engine, NoX or ABS lights on.

I am a local private-party seller with over 745+ all-positive feedback, not some car lot. I have always lived in San Mateo, and strive to maintain a 100% rating.  My feedback speaks for itself, so bid with confidence.

The engine runs well; always starts right up, idles smoothly and gets up and goes without hesitation. It is a completely stock 3.9L fuel injected motor with no modifications. Strong engine, it does not burn oil or smoke. The transmission shifts very well and smoothly into all forward and reverse gears, without slippage. NO rearend chatter or wheel bearing / hub howling.

The body is incredibly straight for its age, still in its original factory Ivory white finish which has held up very well after 22 years. It actually looks very good, and still shines nicely. NO oxidation on the roofline, hood or filler front panel, as most do after a few years. There are NO dents on this Rover.

The chassis, undercarriage, doors, hood, rocker panels, fenders, quarter panels, tailgate and sills are clean and rust-free, with no perforation. The Rangie will look great with the full Safari package installed, but as some folks do not like it, I left it off, to be installed free-of-charge if the winning buyer wants it.

This GREAT DIVIDE Range Rover has a set of blacked out factory Land Rover alloy wheels with radial tires on them ( tread is about 60%).

The interior is in very good condition for its age. The perforated upholstery is in very good shape. The front seats have NO rips, splits or undone seams, recently reupholstered. The rear split-bench seat (also perforated) is in very good shape as well. ALL seatbelts are present and function fine. The original headliner is (surprisingly) still in place. All door panels are in good condition. Original carpeting is clean, and not soiled. The rear cargo area still has the cargo cover. This Range Rover comes equipped as a County, with wood door panel and dash trimming, Central locking, Power windows ( all four work), Power sunroof ( it works both ways), Power door locks, Automatic antidimming rearview mirror, and other small minor accessories. Clean, split-free dash.

This Rangie has a CLEAR California title, and a clean, accident-free CARFAX.

Overall, a solid, rare Range Rover GREAT DIVIDE EDITION for a reasonable asking price. That being said, I have listed the car in various other venues as well as locally, and as such, I reserve to the right to end this listing early if a serious committed buyer or a BUY-IT-NOW offer presents itself.

Feel free to EM or call me with questions, and I will try to provide as much information as possible. You can call (650) 430-4660 PST, no later than 9 pm, please ( I have little kids).

I shall be glad to arrange / assist with nationwide or overseas delivery of this Range Rover GD anywhere, at the most economical shipping rate available.

Instrument of payment can be a cashier's check or money order(s).  Personal, Business, C.C advance or annuity checks may be utilized, but must clear all funding prior to any transportation arrangements being made.

Additionally, a bank wire transfer may be used to my local CHASE Bank branch in San Mateo. It expedites the process considerably and allows for faster shipping arrangements.

Finally, PAYPAL may be an alternative, if arrranged between the prospective buyer and seller prior to purchase.

Upon receipt of payment, I will mail the title and bill of sale to you, while transportation arrangements are being coordinated on your behalf.

        Thank you for your interest~!

Jaguar Land Rover to skip 2016 Detroit Auto Show

Mon, Nov 23 2015

Jaguar Land Rover won't attend the 2016 Detroit Auto Show in January because the automaker will shift its focus to other international shows instead, the company confirmed to Autoblog. "Following a review of our global consumer engagement program, the decision has been made not to exhibit at the Detroit show in 2016," said a company spokesperson told Autoblog. The story was first reported by Automotive News. JLR will continue to attend other US auto shows in Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles; plus those abroad in Geneva, Frankfurt, Paris, Beijing, and Shanghai. "We recognize that the Detroit show is a world-class Tier 1 auto show, however, we have had to make this decision to sharpen our focus as indicated," the spokesperson said. Detroit Auto Show PR Manager Max Muncey told Autoblog that the organizers already knew JLR wouldn't be there. "We are in discussions with other automakers to fill that spot," he said about using the open space. The show expects 70 percent of the floor plan in 2016 to be different from last year. The automaker used the 2015 Detroit Auto Show to announce diesel versions for several models, and it revealed the name for the Jaguar F-Pace there. JLR reportedly now has a plan to cut the equivalent of $6.8 billion in costs without firing workers and increase production to a million annual deliveries by the end of the decade. Related Video:

Average new-vehicle transaction price hits a whopping new peak in December

Wed, Jan 11 2023

Elevated prices for products and higher borrowing rates led to record high transaction prices for new vehicles in December, with the average cost in the U.S. rising to a record $49,507, according to data from Kelley Blue Book released today. The report notes that ATPs — average transaction prices — have climbed above suggested retail prices — MSRPs — for more than a year. Sales volumes were up in December on a year-over-year basis by more than 5%, a situation Kelley attributed to improved supply. Overall sales for 2022, however, were off 8% year over year. “The transaction data from December clearly indicates overall prices showed no signs of coming down as we headed into year-end,” said Rebecca Rydzewski, research manager of economic and industry insights for Cox Automotive. “Luxury prices fell slightly in December, but non-luxury transaction prices were up. Truck sales were particularly strong last month, and with many trucks selling for more than $60,000, a new record was all but inevitable.” Industry analysts claim the most obvious headwinds in the new car market are generated by higher interest rates, forced by the Federal Reserve's rate hikes intended to tame inflation, and by generally limited inventory. A recent report from J.D. Power showed that the average monthly payment for a new vehicle loan in December was $718, up $47 from a year ago. But 16% of consumers in December took out loans with monthly payments of over $1,000. Consumers think vehicles, and electric vehicles especially, are way too expensive. Fortunately, manufacturersÂ’ incentives, all but extinct in the past two years, are returning, especially in the electric-vehicle and luxury market, the Kelley data suggest. Plus, "With the new tax credits on the way, electric vehicle ATPs will drop lower for qualifying vehicles,” Rydzewski said. Non-luxury brands, such as Honda and Kia, showed particularly strong performance in December, with the average price paid at $45,578 — a record high and an increase of $994 month over month. Meanwhile, the average luxury buyer paid $66,660 for a new vehicle last month. Mercedes-Benz and Land Rover showed the most price strength in the luxury market, transacting between 2.6% to 6.5% over sticker price. But luxury brands Audi, BMW, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln, and Volvo showed the least price strength with some discounting in effect, selling 1% or more below MSRP in December, according to the survey.

Porsche 911 tops a list of must-have classics, but No. 2 is more of a surprise

Wed, Aug 9 2023

No surprise here: In Europe, the Porsche 911 is the most sought-after classic car. Surprise here: Slip-streaming the 911 in the most sought-after chart compiled by the Car & Classic marketplace is the Ford Mustang. Using the Google search engine as a means to pick the winners, as well as the average prices achieved on the “Car and Classic” website, the venerable 911 was tagged 1.45 million times per month according to data stretching back 15 years. The number of 911Â’s sold though the C&C marketplace was 21,141, at an average price of 58,409 pounds, or $74,300. FordÂ’s pony car, still a popular choice for buyers in Europe, placed second on the list with 1.2 million monthly searches. The average sales price over 15 years was 31,107 pounds ($39,570), and the number of older Mustangs sold reached a total of 8,332. Models that also finished among the charted top 10 include the Land Rover Range Rover, the Corvette, the ultra-classic British favorite Jaguar E-Type and the BMW 3 Series. “Whilst a 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera 2.7 RS could set you back the best part of GBP500,000 ($636,000), there are many more affordable models, which bring the average sale price of a 911 on Car & Classic to GBP58,000 ($73,800) – the third highest average selling price of any make and model on the site,” explained Dale Vinten of Car & Classic. According to the site, the Jaguar fetched the highest average selling price: a whopping 89,000 pounds, or $113,000. But thatÂ’s peanuts compared to a Series 1 Roadster in excellent condition, said Vinten. For that, “you can expect to spend up to GBP250,000 ($318,000), A Series 2 or 3 will cost less, as they are not as desirable, but in decent condition you can expect to pay around GBP40,000-GBP50,000. Even a barn find 1969 E-Type Series 2 Roadster can set you back to the tune of GBP33,000 ($42,000)." Launched in 2005, Car & Classic is among EuropeÂ’s most popular classic car clearinghouses. It also runs a stand-alone auction site.
