One owner ( me) bought this terrific vehicle brand new in 2004. The only reason I am selling is the need for a third row for my kids or I would keep this SUV for another 100,000+ miles. Driven only in Florida with majority being highway miles. No accidents no off road, no snow or salt and is why this vehicle is in fantastic mechanical condition.
SUV has been serviced religiously and stayed ahead of all maintenance schedules. All service receipts since day one from the Land Rover Dealer and my local BMW specialist are available and will show that almost $10,000 has been spent within the last 30,000 miles including multiple oil changes, A/C service, radiator hose, thermostat assembly. belts, fan clutch, rear disc pads, radiator, expansion tank, all gaskets including valve cover, timing cover, etc, etc., etc. This SUV is very, very strong mechanically with a BMW engine and drivetrain.
The SUV is 10+ years old so, it does have normal cosmetic wear inside and out. No tears anywhere.
There is pixilation in the odometer and the navigation screen is dark but, I have lived with this condition for a few years and was never an issue because radio and CD player work great.

This is a great SUV for style and class and is mechanically tight for many, many more miles. I drove this vehicle responsibly on acceleration, cornering and braking with the intent of keeping this vehicle a long time. I spent whatever was needed with the full intention on keeping this SUV for another 5+ years / 100,000+ miles. The ONLY reason I am selling is my young family is growing into the need for a third row.

Jaguar Land Rover opens winter testing facility in Minnesota

As it begins the rollout of the all-wheel-drive Jaguar XJ and XF models, Jaguar Land Rover has just announced that it has opened a new facility in northern Minnesota for winter testing. Located in International Falls, MN (on the US and Canadian border), the British automaker says it is one of the coldest locations in the Continental US. Jaguar's new Instinctive All Wheel Drive system was developed primarily to help sell more cars in the northern US, so it only makes sense to open a testing area in the US as well.
With temperatures that can drop to minus 55 degrees Fahrenheit, International Falls was chosen to mimic some of the worst weather a Jaguar or Land Rover will ever see. The grounds house testing chambers, various road surfaces and even a frozen lake. This new facility complements the hot-weather testing grounds in Phoenix, AZ.

Jaguar Land Rover may build factory in Saudi Arabia

The Middle East is one of the fastest-growing markets for Land Rover, so it makes sense that the automaker is looking to set up shop in the region. According to Automotive News, Jaguar Land Rover is in talks with the people of Saudi Arabia to build a factory in the country at an expected initial cost of $1.2 billion. Still in the early stage of talks, the proposed facility could start up by 2017 using locally sourced materials such as steel and aluminum.
Such an arrangement could be beneficial for both entities as Saudi Arabia looks to diversify its oil-reliant economy and Land Rover could get local production capacity of around 50,000 units. The report also says that the agreement talks about the possibility for Jaguar models to be built at the same plant further down the road.
This won't be the first vehicle produced in Saudi Arabia - that honor goes to the KSU Gazal-1 - but it will be the first from a major global automaker.

Models like the Audi A3 and Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class may be tailor-made to introduce buyers to the premium segment, but a new study finds that they don't garner the highest rates of non-luxury customer conquests. It turns out that a Volvo leads among folks moving up to a premium brand, and it isn't even one that's made anymore, at that.
A recent study by Polk and IHS Automotive looked at what models had the highest rates of buyers upgrading from a non-luxury segment. The information comes from its new vehicle registration data through April 2014. All ten top models boasted conquest rates of over 50 percent, but the Volvo C70 led the field with 68.01 percent of its customers coming from non-premium brands.
