This is a no reserve listing for my 1995 Range Rover Classic Long Wheel Base (LWB) Soft Dash. The 1995 Soft dash, as they are called, is the last year the "Classic" was manufactured and is considered by some to be the most desirable.
I am a Land Rover enthusiast and spent a long time looking for the right Classic so when this one became available I had to have it. The intent was to replace my short wheel base(SWB) Defender with a LWB Range Rover that could be slept in for camping. However, this one is simply too nice to modify and I cannot see myself without my Defender or my Series Rover. So this Range Rover is for sale.
Everything works well, except for the usual items like the heated seats and the cruise control - although a lot of vacuum lines for the cruise control were replaced by a previous owner so that may be an easy fix. The drivers seat works however the contacts on the seat controller need cleaning. The drivers door exterior handle is cracked.
The Rover has the original spare wheel which appears like new along with the factory Jack, Wrench, and wheel chocks.
It has the factory stereo system and original Land Rover Cassette Stereo. The factory subwoofer is still working great as is the multi CD changer. The Classic has one key and alarm FOB. My intent was to order another, I just never got around to it.
If you have any questions please ask. I have additional pictures on a photo hosting site. Email if interested in seeing them.
You can reach me at 801-815-9959 or email me through eBay.
Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer but I will do whatever I can to make it easy to pick up. I would not hesitate to drive the Range Rover cross country. I live close to the Salt Lake City airport and would be happy to pick you up so you can drive the Rangie home. I have done my best to depict the Range Rover as accurately as possible. If you want a picture of a particular area please do not hesitate to ask. There is no warranty expressed or implied. If you have less than 10 positive feedback please contact me prior to bidding. Remember this is an auction to sell, as such if you are the high bidder you own it and will be expected to pay accordingly. I require a $500 deposit within 48 hours of auction end. I will accept Paypal for this, but payment for the remainder will have to be arranged with me. The Range Rover is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end the auction if it sells locally.
I recommend a pre-purchase inspection. If you feel like you would like a second opinion before you buy, I can deliver the Rover to a shop of your choice near me to have an unbiased third party inspection. However, any costs associated are your responsibility and need to be taken care of by you before I take it to the shop. I can also refer you to the mechanic that has done the work on it.
This is a great car. Good luck bidding.

New Land Rover Defender aces Euro crash tests
Wed, Dec 9 2020While the 2020 Land Rover Defender has not yet been crash-test by U.S. safety agencies such as NHTSA or IIHS, we do now have results for Europe's NCAP crash tests and accident-avoidance tests, where the Defender earned the top rating of five stars. The Defender model used for NCAP testing was the 110 variant with right-hand drive. The NCAP regimen includes several different crash tests: an offset front crash test into a moveable barrier with both the vehicle and the barrier traveling at 50 km/hr (31 mph), a front crash test into a full-width fixed barrier at 50 km/hr (31 mph), a side-impact crash test with a barrier traveling at 60 km/hr (37 mph) hitting the driver's door, and a side-impact test where the car strikes a pole at 32 km/hr (20 mph). The Defender's scores for the adult occupant and for a child occupant were both 85%. Additionally, the agency looks at the severity of injuries of the vehicle striking a pedestrian, taking data for a pedestrian's head hitting the hood, and their upper and lower leg being hit by the front of the vehicle. There is also testing of the vehicle's automatic emergency braking system's ability to avoiding hitting a pedestrian and a cyclist under various scenarios. The efficacy of active-safety systems for avoiding collisions with other vehicles is also tested. The Defender's score for protecting pedestrians and cyclists was 71%. The driver assists scored 79%. Results for several European-market cars were released together with those for the Defender, the most noteworthy of which was for the Honda E. The electric city car fared less well than the big Land Rover, garnering a score of four stars overall. In the same battery of test, the Honda E scored 76% for adult occupant protection, 82% for a child occupant, 62% for protecting pedestrians and cyclists, and 65% for its driver assists. Jaguar Land Rover to badge vehicles based on horsepower
Wed, Sep 27 2017Add Jaguar and Land Rover to the list of automakers changing their nomenclature due to the realities of engine downsizing. Spy photos of an unreleased Jaguar F-Type model show a badge reading P380 AWD. The letter P evidently refers to Petrol (British for gasoline), and 380 is the engine's horsepower. According to Auto Express, the entry-level F-Type will be badged P300, indicating the power output of its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. Land Rover is expected to follow suit with the new badging nomenclature. Diesel models will get a D instead of a P, while electric and hybrid models will get an E badge, along with a number corresponding to total system power. So, expect the I-Pace to sport an E400 badge on its hind end. One question we have, though, is how the disparity between mechanical, metric and imperial horsepower will be dealt with. While such power-specific badges are arguably unnecessary, we expect the trend to proliferate as engines continue to get smaller but turbocharging and electrification keep horsepower climbing. At least JLR's badges are easier to understand than the messy way Audi plans to rename its models or the way BMW completely dismisses actual engine size in its naming convention. Jaguar Land Rover puts the freeze on wounded soldier-athletes [w/video]
Mon, 21 Jul 2014For athletes, the cold is often a powerful ally in treating injures, with RICE (rest, ice, compression and elevation) a popular means of treating muscle pulls, bruising and other common forms of discomfort. Did you know, though, that frosty temps are also popular tools for simply recovering from a rough training session?
Well, we're guessing Jaguar Land Rover knew that, as the British company was kind enough to loan out its climactic testing chamber to Jaco van Gass and Luke Darlington, a pair of veterans wounded in their service to Queen and Country. Van Gass, a former private in the Royal Army, and Darlington, a Royal Marine, are attempting to earn a spot on the British Armed Forces cycling team for the upcoming Invictus Games.
The Games, inspired by the Warrior Games held in the United States, are a sporting competition reserved for injured servicemen and women, either active duty or veterans, and is slated to take place from September 10 to 14 in London's former Olympic venues. Van Gass lost his left arm below the elbow after getting hit by a rocket-propelled grenade (he also suffered from a collapsed lung, punctured internal organs, severe shrapnel and blast wounds, a broken tibia and a fractured knee). Darlington, meanwhile, suffered a traumatic brain injury during action in Afghanistan, and he now suffers from weakness in his right side and cognitive issues.
