I have up for sale my fully custom, one-of-a-kind 2008 Wrangler! You won't come across another that has the JK-8 package, plus a 4bt Turbo Cummins!!
It has the JK-8 Freedom package which converts a 4-door into a useable truck! This alone makes it a custom Jeep that's very hard to find, but when you install a Cummins 4bt Turbo engine, now you truely have the only one around anywhere!!
This Wrangler has the Rubicon package, which is top of the line with front and rear dana 44 axles with electronic lockers, rockloc transfer case and remote swaybars!
We installed a 6" suspension system, then mounted up a set of 40" Procomp Xtreme 2 MT tires on 17x9 ATX wheels! All this has less than 2k miles.
The Jeep is loaded with it all! Power everything, removeable top which also converts into T-Tops, or a Targa Top! Pwr windows, locks, tilt, GPS, CD etc.
The Cummins engine was just completely overhauled 5K miles ago with it all. New crank, pistons, etc. all done by Reviva, the nations largest Cummins remanufacture! The engine is backed up with a Hummer Automatic and low stall convertor! It also has a heavy-duty cooler and shift-kit, plus its all shifted using a Compu-shift II. All this is adapted to the factory transfercase and driveshafts!
I have over 60k in this conversion, price it all out and see!
I'm asking $45,000.00 and it needs nothing! Looks and runs perfect! Jeep only has 60,000 original miles! No dents or scratches anywhere! Perfect Car-Fax and Clean Title in hand!
There is so much more done to this Jeep, it would be impossible to list it all here, so contact me for more details!

2016 Jeep Wrangler to ditch solid axles to save weight?

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

Hey, Jeep fans. If you think the idea of a funky-looking, car-based Cherokee revival is offensive, have a listen to what might be in store for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler. Automotive News is reporting that as Jeep develops the 2016 Wrangler, weight reduction is a crucial target, and the Wrangler's rugged solid axles could be sacrificed in the name of better fuel economy.
We've already heard the next Wrangler will go on a serious diet using aluminum body panels and an air suspension system, so the idea of a four-wheel independent suspension setup for this OG SUV isn't all that surprising. Besides, it's not like an independent suspension would limit the Wrangler's off-road abilities - just check out the Hummer H1. In fact, it might be the aftermarket parts companies - not Wrangler enthusiasts - who would be most disappointed by such a drastic suspension change, as the article states that the Wrangler's solid axles and coil-link suspension make it the most popular SUV for customization.
There are probably still a couple years before we'll start hearing any concrete details about the 2016 Wrangler, at which time it will be interesting to see how stricter fuel economy and crash safety regulations have been balanced with traditional Wrangler cues like its removable doors and roof and folding windshield. Let us know in the comments below if a Wrangler sans solid axles is any less of a Wrangler.

2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Diesel and SRT climb onto stage

Mon, 14 Jan 2013

This is indeed a case of not knowing how much we wanted something until it arrived. We've been big fans of the Jeep Grand Cherokee ever since the new model arrived a couple of years ago, and while the update you see here might seem just a slight refresh, it's actually much more than that.
For starters, the 2014 Grand Cherokee marks the return of a diesel model here in the States, with Chrysler's new 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 under the hood, churning out 240 horsepower and 420 pound-feet of torque, mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Of course, all of the Grand Cherokee's usual off-road goodies are on hand, with moderate tweaks to make it an even more capable vehicle when the going gets rough. Both the gasoline-fed 3.6-liter V6 and 5.7-liter V8 get the new eight-speed auto, as well.
The high-performance Grand Cherokee SRT also trudges on into the new model year, with very subtle tweaks found underneath the aggressive, slightly redesigned sheetmetal. The 6.4-liter Hemi V8 also gets eight-speed gearing, which Chrysler says will improve not only 0-60 times, but mid-range performance as well. Bring it on, we say.

Jeep's new Chip Away commercial has us hunting Al Pacino's back catalog

Tue, 19 Feb 2013

Chrysler has done a pretty good job as of late turning its television commercials into pep talks or rallying cries, but for its first ad for the 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee, it turned to Al Pacino's inspirational speech from the movie Any Given Sunday. In the movie, Pacino's character talks about how football is a game of inches, but the commercial, titled Chip Away, focuses more on the attention to detail that Jeep has exhibited on its updated flagship SUV.
Centering around the newest Grand Cherokee model, the luxurious $47,995 Summit trim level, the commercial shows off some of the hand-stitched leathers and real metal and wood accents found inside the cabin. Check out the new 60-second spot by scrolling below.
