Hello everyone, up for sale is my 1999 jeep wrangler sahara, this is one of the cleanest jeeps you will ever come across, the sahara package was the top of the line model available,  besides the low miles , great interior and exterior, and every thing else that makes this jeep so great is the fact that it has never been off roaded, or lifted, it has been adult owned and maintained and cared for since new, never abused or smoked in, if you want to lift the jeep it is actually pretty cheap to do it just wasn't something I wanted, and its very good that it hasn't been done because this way you know no one was messing around with it doing things wrong and it hasn't had any unusual wear and tear, brand new just done, new clutch, fly wheel, pressure plate, water pump, thermostat, stainless steel exhaust, etc etc... I have all the receipts, this jeep has zero rust or rot, 4x4, 6cyl, with air, tilt wheel,  oil changed every 3k, transmission and rears serviced every year, newer tires, air blows ice cold, hard top, hitch, towing pkg, sound bar, upgraded premium stereo and speakers, no accidents, paint is in great shape, interior is in perfect condition with no rips or tears, super low miles for its year, runs and drives like new, shifts like new, doesn't smoke, knock, ping, make any funny suspension noises, just a solid jeep from top to bottom, never modified, a real head turner and desirable color combo with the black on black, great for any season winter spring summer or fall convertible and 4 wheel drive just cant be beat, anyone looking for a basically perfect jeep with no hidden problems as a daily driver or for whatever you might want it for this is it, I am currently taking offers, I can be reached by text or call at 267-902-0404 or by email, dont hesitate to contact as I am kind of a late owl, if you want a quick response then text or call, if you are going to call with a blocked number please email me and let me know, I usualy ignore blocked numbers, thanks so much for all of your time and consideration

Final Toledo Jeep decision may have nothing to do with city's efforts

Mon, Apr 13 2015

Toledo, OH is doing all that it can to keep production of the Jeep Wrangler in its boundaries, but the biggest issue facing the plant may be insurmountable, no matter how desperately the city wants to keep the Wrangler local. The Wrangler is built in a rather interesting manner at the Toledo Supplier Park: Fiat Chrysler only handles the very final assembly of each vehicle, while two other companies, Kuka, a German firm, and Hyundai-Mobis, a member of the sprawling Hyundai empire, produce the body and chassis, respectively. The vehicles are then transferred over to the FCA part of the park, where they're painted and completed. This was, as The Detroit News explains, a convenient arrangement back in 2006 when the supplier park opened. Chrysler, which was still owned by Daimler at the time, arranged for Kuka and Mobis to handle production, saving it a huge sum of money. Both suppliers own their own machinery and buildings and employ their own workers. Now that FCA is a relatively healthy entity, though, there's not a lot of need to be sharing profits with two other companies. "What [FCA boss Sergio Marchionne] would like is to have the advantages of high-capacity utilization, owning that capacity and taking advantage of that for himself versus having a supplier doing some of the things his competitors do internally," David Cole, chairman emeritus at the Ann Arbor, MI-based Center for Automotive Research, told The News. "It really adds another level of complexity to the situation." While Sergio Marchionne is a man that generally gets what he wants, it seems unlikely that either Mobis or Kuka would give up their role quietly. According to Jon Zapf, Mobis North America's chairperson for UAW Local 12, the company "definitely wants to maintain their part of this production process." According to The News, Jeep is likely to announce the location of next-generation Wrangler production in June. Expect to hear much more on this one in the coming months.

Jeep Liberty under investigation for door fires

Tue, 29 Oct 2013

The Jeep Liberty has already had plenty of attention for possible fires thanks to the first-gen model's fuel tank, but now the midsize Jeep is under the microscope of the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration for another fire-related concern. NHTSA has opened an investigation for the 2012 Liberty after receiving two reports of electrical fires in the driver's door.
According to the investigation summary, around 80,000 vehicles could potentially be affected by this problem. In both reported fires, the drivers noticed smoke and then flames from the master power window switch, and they had to pull to a stop and exit through the passenger side of the SUV. According to Autoguide, there was one injury to a motorist who suffered burned fingers while trying to open the driver's door.
Interestingly, the Dodge Nitro is not yet involved in this investigation, even though it was still around for the 2012 model year; the Nitro ended production in 2011 about a year before the final Liberty rolled off the line for the 2013 model year. Scroll down for the official NHTSA investigation summary.

Why Mopar won't release a factory lift kit for the new Jeep Cherokee

Thu, 24 Apr 2014

The Jeep Cherokee Dakar concept showed off at the 2014 Easter Jeep Safari made a lot of online friends, even the Cherokee naysayers assenting that there's a monster Jeep underneath the Cherokee's skin if you're willing to go in and get it. But after reading Road & Track's write-up of what went into creating the Dakar, particularly its lift, you'll understand why you'll probably never see the components for it in the Jeep Performance Parts catalog.
The concept's press release mentions a "prototype Jeep Performance Parts lift kit, and additional suspension modifications." The short-story explanation is that the front struts on the standard Cherokee weren't engineered to accept any amount of lift, so the long story begins with the phrase, "an entirely new suspension." Head over to RT to read the details, and don't be afraid to ogle the Cherokee Dakar gallery and another awesome Jeep fancy that won't likely crawl over the hurdles imposed by production reality.
