WELCOME TO OUR LISTING, WE HAVE OWNED THIS JEEP SINCE 2008 AND IT HAS NEVER LEFT S SITTING. IT IS AN OVERLAND WITH JUST ABOUT EVERYTHING YOU CAN GET ON AN 04 EXCEPT FOR NAVIGATION. IT HAS A COMBINATION BDS 4" SUSPENSION LIFT WITH 2" SPACERS AND AN IRON ROCK OFF ROAD HIGH CLEARANCE FRONT LONG ARM CONVERSION, BILSTEIN 5100 SHOCKS ON ALL 4 CORNERS. THERE IS NO GOING BACK TO STOCK AS THE LCA MOUNTS HAVE BEEN REMOVED TO FIT THE LONG ARM. YES......IT DOES DRIVE LIKE A LIFTED JEEP, AND IF THAT DOESN'T APPEAL TO YOU THEN THIS ISN'T THE JEEP FOR YOU. IT DOES HAVE A RECONSTRUCTED TITLE DUE TO A COLLISION IN 2007 . IT RIDES VERY WELL, RUNS GREAT AND SHIFTS CRISP. MY WIFE HAS DRIVING THIS JEEP SINCE DAY ONE AND IT HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD. BODY IS VERY CLEAN FOR AN 04 WITH THE EXCEPTION OF PASSENGER SIDE LOWER MOLDING ON DOOR AND FENDER HAVING SOME SCUFFS AND A DING IN THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR. WINDOW MOLDINGS DO NEED REPLACED, THERE IS A RUST SPOT ON THE BOTTOM OF THE REAR HATCH ABOUT THE SIZE OF A QUARTER, AND IT NEEDS THE MUFFLER REPLACED BECAUSE IT DOES HAVE A LEAK, REMOVED INNER FENDERS DUE TO RUBBING WHEN IT WAS ON THE 4" LIFT, RUBBING NO LONGER OCCURS SO INNER FENDERS COULD BE REPLACED. OIL HAS BEEN CHANGED REGULARLY, MOST OF THE FRONT TIE RODS HAVE BEEN RECENTLY REPLACED, PASSENGER SIDE WHEEL BEARING IS LESS THAN A YEAR OLD, TIRES ARE GOODYEAR DURATRAC AND ABOUT HALF TREAD. THIS JEEP IS PART OF MY FAMILY AND I WILL NOT CONSIDER ANY LOW-BALL/HALF-COCKED OFFERS. 2014 Jeep Cherokee facing production delay
Fri, 17 May 2013Jeep's bold-faced new direction spearheaded by the 2014 Cherokee is facing some teething issues. According to a report by the Detroit Free Press, production start-up of the controversial new utility vehicle at its Toledo North facility is running about a month behind schedule "due to a wide range of issues." That's according to Mark Chernoby, senior vice president of engineering at Chrysler.
Chernoby maintains that the issues being encountered aren't unusual for the launch of a new vehicle - particularly one with a new powertrain - and he downplayed the delay, telling Jeep dealers that they "will have ample inventory of the midsize SUV by fall." Among the kinks being worked out? Calibrating the Cherokee's cutting-edge ZF nine-speed automatic transmission and refining assembly line tasks to make the process more efficient.
Chrysler expects to start building retail-ready versions of the Cherokee around mid-June, with official sales slated to start in September.
Chrysler highlights Mopar lineup for SEMA
Wed, 30 Oct 2013SEMA is all about aftermarket parts, and in Auburn Hills that all comes down to one name: Mopar. After having previewed its lineup for this year's Vegas tuner expo earlier this month, Chrysler has now revealed what may not quite be its full dossier of modified show cars, but a good portion of them.
All told Mopar is preparing 20 vehicles for display at SEMA this year. Among them you'll find the Ram Sun Chaser, a 1500 Quad Cab show truck kitted out in two-tone orange and black paint, a roof rack for surfboards, onboard shower and convertible tailgate. The white Fiat 500L is called the Adventurer and is modified for a more rugged look that could hint at the upcoming crossover version. The Jeep Cherokee Trail Carver upgrades on the Trailhawk package with everything from roof basket to rock rails. To counterbalance the off-roaders, there's also a modified Chrysler 300S with a deep black paint job, special grille, Varvatos-edition wheels and more.
All four concepts details so far have Katzkin interiors as well, and there's also an unspecified Dodge Durango with a storm-trooper look in the gallery above. But for more details on what Mopar has installed on the Ram, 500L, Cherokee and 300, you'll want to delve into the press release below.
YouTube tallies votes for this year's top five Super Bowl spots [w/video]
Tue, 19 Feb 2013When we asked you to tell us which of this year's 16 car-themed Super Bowl commercials you liked best, you chose the Farmer commercial from Chrysler Group, advertising the Ram trucks, over Audi's Prom commercial in second place. Turns out the voters in YouTube's Ad Blitz poll agreed, voting the same commercial to the number one spot from among the field commercials in every category.
From there, however, they went in a totally different direction. Budweiser's The Clydesdales spot came second, Samsung's The Next Big Thing took third. The Jeep Whole Again ad scored fourth in the YouTube poll, fifth in our poll of auto commercials, and the Hyundai Team spot got fifth from the YouTubers, but ninth in our poll.
The voting results don't match up with the viewing numbers, though - while Farmer has more than 13 million views, The Next Big Thing is well beyond 21 million. You can read the press release below and see all five spots, lined up for you, one more time.
