This is a decent looking Jeep, it has some paint issues but nothing major. I had bought a quart of the original color and was going to wet sand and recoat but had to move and have no place to paint. Now, the motor, trans, and add-ons make this one special. The engine and transmission were rebuilt 17,000 miles ago, but the motor is out of a RAM 1500 360CID Magnum with a oil pressure canister to apply pressure on start up, high temp powder coated manifolds, and the trans not only has all new hard and software but has a shift kit and the shifts are perfectly smooth with no overlap or hard shifting. Inside it has a DVD-CDRW, GPS, Wi-Fi, 80 gig HDD and all showing on an 8 inch screen and the sound is through the in-dash but I also swapped that with the high end version of the Jeep that has EQ and 4 speaker control. I put a new set of stock size cooper tires on it but it rides the best on 31.5 or 32s which I could not afford. You can use this as a daily driver but the upgrades and Quadra Trac full time 4 wheel are meant to eat mountains. Call me at 262-six4three-895six

There are three sentences that, for this reviewer, define what needs to be conveyed about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. The first: it is very good.
Jeep spent 27 years building the Cherokee and its brand, from 1974 to 2001. Twelve years ago, the Cherokee nameplate rolled away into the distant hills and retirement, at least here in the NAFTA colonies, and it was replaced by a loaded word we knew as "Liberty."
2016 Jeep Wrangler to ditch solid axles to save weight?
Tue, 29 Oct 2013Hey, Jeep fans. If you think the idea of a funky-looking, car-based Cherokee revival is offensive, have a listen to what might be in store for the next-gen Jeep Wrangler. Automotive News is reporting that as Jeep develops the 2016 Wrangler, weight reduction is a crucial target, and the Wrangler's rugged solid axles could be sacrificed in the name of better fuel economy.
We've already heard the next Wrangler will go on a serious diet using aluminum body panels and an air suspension system, so the idea of a four-wheel independent suspension setup for this OG SUV isn't all that surprising. Besides, it's not like an independent suspension would limit the Wrangler's off-road abilities - just check out the Hummer H1. In fact, it might be the aftermarket parts companies - not Wrangler enthusiasts - who would be most disappointed by such a drastic suspension change, as the article states that the Wrangler's solid axles and coil-link suspension make it the most popular SUV for customization.
There are probably still a couple years before we'll start hearing any concrete details about the 2016 Wrangler, at which time it will be interesting to see how stricter fuel economy and crash safety regulations have been balanced with traditional Wrangler cues like its removable doors and roof and folding windshield. Let us know in the comments below if a Wrangler sans solid axles is any less of a Wrangler.
Jeep Twitter account hacked, bad language, poor grammar and some hilarity ensue
Tue, 19 Feb 2013Just a day after Burger King's Twitter account was compromised by "unauthorized users," Jeep's social media feed has been similarly hacked. Both instances of digital incursion share some similarities - the BK hackers changed the company's logo for McDonald's familiar golden arches, saying a sale had occurred, while the Jeep miscreants have replaced Jeep's branding with that of General Motors property Cadillac.
The resulting tweets from the damaged Jeep account have been a pretty brutal, to put it bluntly. Most of the content coming from the hacked account is unpublishable here, using language that is peppered with racial epithets, and poorly worded "shout outs."
In addition to the defamatory tweets themselves, the hackers have significantly altered the layout of the page. Jeep's header image now features a picture of the Cadillac ATS to go along with the Wreath and Crest, some language calling out that car as winning the 2013 North American Car of the Year award, and this gem: "The official Twitter handle for the Jeep(R) - Just Empty Every Pocket, Sold To Cadillac =[" Also, perhaps in an ode to yesterday's Burger King heist, the background image for the page now features a McDonald's-themed donk. The devil's in the details, we guess.
