1999 Jeep Cherokee Classic Sport Utility 4-door 4.0l on 2040-cars
Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, United States
Best 99 Jeep Cherokee your going to find, it has low miles and NO UNDER BODY RUST, shifts smooth and the engine runs great never have had a problem with it. I am the second owner and have owned it since may of 2012 the previous owners were an older couple and kept very good care of it. Within the last 6 months I have replaced the power steering pump and have had the air conditioning and heating system serviced and it all works great. The battery is also brand new (about 3 weeks old) along with that all the brakes were replaced about a month ago. All 4 tires have less than 3000 miles on them 2 of which were brand new when i bought the car. I also put in a brand new top of the line stereo( has ipod charging usb port and aux cord with remote) with new back speakers and it all sounds amazing. The miles I've put on are almost all town miles less than 100 highway miles. This Jeep is easily Top 5 in Mass and drives better than any other I've driven and i work part time at a used car lot where we see a lot of Cherokees. All of the seat covers are brand new with little to no wear as well as the floor mats i put them on since the seats are in great condition. This jeep has another 150,000 miles or more on it. There are no dents just little scratches here and there that aren't very noticeable. I've been getting about 17 mpg driving around town. I've never had trouble accelerating she has good power and is responsive.
If you want anymore pictures or have any questions feel free to ask. PAYMENT: If you live in the area i would prefer cash or certified bank check...I will not use paypal.....if you are too far away to come pick up the jeep or deliver payment we can work something out. |

Fiesta-sized Jeep coming in 2014
Wed, 03 Jul 2013We've heard rumors before about a new, baby Jeep to slot below the new-for-2014 Cherokee (pictured) in the automaker's lineup. Now, Edmunds is reporting that the new crossover will arrive sometime in 2014, and will be about the same size as the Ford Fiesta. This currently unnamed vehicle will effectively replace both the Compass and Patriot in the Jeep lineup.
Speaking to Edmunds, Jeep CEO Mike Manley said that the new, small Jeep will be assembled in Italy and marketed globally beginning sometime next year. Manley did not provide many details on the new model, but did say that it will be 4.2-meters (165 inches) long. The Cherokee, by comparison, is 4.6-meters long (181 inches). Furthermore, Edmunds reports that while the new small Jeep will offer diesel power in other markets, there are no plans for an oil-burning version here in the US.
Many other automakers are exploring this smaller crossover segment here in the US. General Motors recently launched the Buick Encore, which is loosely based on the Chevrolet Sonic subcompact's platform. Ford has already launched its Fiesta-based EcoSport in other markets, and has reportedly been pondering the idea of offering it in the US, as well.
Chrysler registers Trackhawk trademark
Wed, 01 Oct 2014There may not be many ways to forecast what an automaker is planning for the future, but there are some. Trademark applications are one of them, and Chrysler has just applied with the US Patent and Trademark Office to protect the name "Trackhawk." The question is, what's it planning on using it for? We don't know for sure, but we can put together an educated guess or two. And one guess is that Jeep will use the name to replace the letters SRT on the performance version of the Grand Cherokee.
How do we figure, you ask? From a number of developments. For starters, the SRT division has been reintegrated into the Dodge brand. Those letters currently appear on only two vehicles from outside the Dodge lineup: one is the Grand Cherokee SRT, and the other is the Chrysler 300 SRT. We've heard ruminations (however unconfirmed) that the latter could be either discontinued or possibly relabeled, and if the same proves true of the GC, the Trackhawk name could serve as a on-road performance counterpart to the Trailhawk label applied to off-road versions of models like the Cherokee and Renegade.
Logical it may be, but it's hardly a foregone conclusion. The Trackhawk name could just as easily be used for a new concept (like the Trailhawk name was in 2007), for another kind of trim level or for something else entirely. In fact we don't even know for sure it'll be used by the Jeep brand specifically, or used at all for that matter. Automakers have been known, after all, to register names they don't end up using.
2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab Edition
Wed, 11 Dec 2013There will forever be a soft spot in my heart for the Jeep Wrangler. The last one I owned was red, and, as a 1990 model, had the square headlights derided by Jeep enthusiasts who grew up on the Civilian Jeeps that descended from their General Purpose military ancestors. As a teenager, I couldn't have cared less what shape its headlights happened to be - to me, a Jeep Wrangler represented freedom; a carefree do-it-all machine equally at home with the top stowed away in the summer or with the heater on full blast in the snowy clutches of Old Man Winter. In Dr. Seuss parlance, my square-headlighted Sneetch was just as worthy as any round-headlighted Sneetch.
All that said, I'll be the first person to advise against buying a Jeep Wrangler of any sort for owners who don't plan to use it as its makers intend. There's no good reason to punish yourself with a stiff and springy ride, a loud and somewhat drafty (though generally water-resistant) interior or the poor fuel economy expected of a block-shaped vehicle if you don't enjoy its other, more exciting benefits.
Of course, Jeep has done its darndest over the years to make the Wrangler as civilized as possible while keeping it as capable as federal law will allow. The 2013 Jeep Wrangler Moab edition is one of Jeep's latest attempts to attract attention from the upper reaches of the active lifestyle set, and I spent a week with one to see what makes the Moab special.
