I am selling my 1979 Jeep CJ-5... The engine is a 304 V8
AMC , The transmission is a Borg Warner T-18 4 speed manual 6.32:1
unsynchronized 1st gear which is much desired in the Jeep class.
Transfer case is a Dana 20 - Front Axle is also a Dana 30 with 3.73
gear ratio - Rear axle is Dana 44 with 3.73 gear ratio and lock Right
locker. Steering is AGR steering box, Borgeson heavy duty steering
shaft. Suspension 2.5 BDS Leaf springs and shocks, the fuel tank is a
22 gallon plastic tank so no rust there. Holley Carb. Edelbrock intake
and headers and to top it off it has 2.5 dual exhaust with series 40
flow masters.( This Jeep runs great and sounds awesome) , I have had
this Jeep since High School and know everything about it as you can tell
it has all the desired parts. The frame is solid and so is the floor

Chrysler accelerates Jeep recall repairs from 2018 to March

You may remember that Jeep's unusual fix for this recall involves fitting a trailer hitch.
The recall of about 1.5 million models of the 2002-2007 Jeep Liberty and 1993-1998 Grand Cherokee over fuel tanks may finish far sooner than originally estimated. In a new filing from Jeep's parent, Chrysler Group, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the company says that it can complete the repairs for the affected vehicles by March 2015, much sooner than the previous estimate of sometime in 2018. Jeep predicts the total cost of the campaign will be around $151 million.
Freak accident during Jeep demonstration turns fatal
Mon, 20 May 2013A 20-year-old woman was killed in Edmonton, Canada on Satuday, reports CTV News, in a freak accident resulting from a rollover during a Jeep demonstration. As part of a fundraising enthusiast event called "Jeeps Go Topless," the driver of one Jeep Wrangler drove up and onto the top of the tire of another.
CTV reports that the owner of the topmost Jeep then switched the vehicle off, posed for pictures and then dismounted from his vehicle. His movement off of the Jeep apparently caused it to tip over, crushing a woman who was on top of an adjacent vehicle. Edmonton police are currently investigating more fully what caused the parking lot accident to occur. Scroll below to watch the CTV News video report about this tragic incident.
